“We can’t say enough about the amazing way Alison renovated our 1960’s house from an outdated design that did not meet our needs to a beautifully functional design that we now love! We renovated our kitchen and two bathrooms, which can be a daunting task when the situation seems hopeless and you don’t know where to start. Alison brought a holistic approach to the design, creating a functional space that was consistent with the period of the house. She made sure the design worked well with the adjacent space, and helped us with every detail along the way including selection of tile, plumbing fixtures, flooring, appliances, etc… Our kitchen and our master bath were both extremely space challenged and very dated. Somehow Alison found space where there wasn't any before. Our master bath was a postage stamp sized cubicle with a closet style shower and 1960s green tile. Alison had the vision to expand that space into an adjacent closet while maximizing our other closet space in the master bedroom. She designed a beautiful walk-in shower with waterfall tiling and a new expanded vanity, which allows my wife and I to use the bathroom at the same time. We now have an expansive walk-in closet in our master bedroom without sacrificing significant space in the master bedroom. Our kitchen may have been even more of a challenge than our bathroom and the changes that Alison made completely transformed the functionality and beauty of the kitchen. We started with a 1960's galley kitchen with original cabinets, very limited storage space, an undersized oven, and laminated countertops that were space constrained with our microwave and other appliances. Cooking together in our old kitchen was an impossible task as we were constantly bumping into each other. Alison's vision for our kitchen included bumping out the kitchen wall adjacent to our dining room and using the space where the wall had been for new gas cooktop, serving area and additional cabinets. The dining room side of the expansion now includes beautiful glass cabinets that display our formal china. Alison totally reorganized the flow of the kitchen to allow several people to work in the kitchen comfortably. She expanded the entrance from our living room into the kitchen giving it a much more open feel. We now have over twice the amount of cabinet space we previously had and numerous features that make the kitchen far more functional. We are extremely grateful to Alison for make our home so much warmer and more beautiful.”

“We hired Blue Lotus last summer to help design our new master bathroom renovation and supply the cabinets. The bath needed to be taken down to the studs so every element had to be worked out. I knew the tile I wanted and the stone but needed help with everything else. The first thing Tracy recommended was to take out the small linen closet. It shocked me and added greatly to the material and construction cost, but it's the best thing we did. Ended up with a bigger shower and more storage room. Tracy managed the process, helping to choose the contractor, help me make decisions on time, then scheduling the main contractor's steps with the other suppliers. The finished bathroom is solid and beautiful and fits right in with our reproduction farmhouse.”

“Andrew and his team renovated a master bath which was anything but master. The space is rather small and we wanted it redone from top to bottom. Andrew came in and gave my husband and I some good ideas on how to make the space look bigger. Once he and his team started, the process was completely smooth and easy. They were here at the same time every morning and took great care to cover the floors and carpets leading to the bathroom. At the end the day they cleaned up everything completely. The job was done within the time frame Andrew stated and the bathroom is everything I could have imagined and more! Our next project is a kitchen renovation and when the time comes, I will use NJ Kitchens and Baths for that as well. I would highly recommend them to anyone.”

“Skydell Contracting did an amazing job. Although this was a Master Bath renovation, the project could be viewed as new construction. What a fabulous project this bathroom came to be. The project managers and the staff at Skydell were always professional. When issues did arise, the owner Richard Skydell was immediately there to ascertain the problem and was quick to offer options. We had some of our own ideas that were always welcomed. We would certainly recommend these folks who can handle everything for your home. The bathroom involved total demolition of the existing bath, new insulation and walls. New plumbing, water closet, installation of carrera stone work, electrical and all woodwork. We are very happy with the outcome.”

“Alfano Renovations was exactly the company for our project. The whole staff is professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. They answered any and all the questions we had regarding our project. We hired them to gut our very old, tired and dark galley kitchen and replace it with a very beautiful open, airy and light kitchen with an amazing tray ceiling. The ceiling was actually not on the original plan but when they recommended it and when we saw what it did with the space, we were thrilled. It completely "makes" the new kitchen! In addition to the kitchen, a wall was removed to open up the kitchen into the family room. The dark, old paneling in the family room was taken off the walls, the wood floor was sanded and stained to match the new wood floor in the kitchen, the lights were changed out, a new mantle was built for the fireplace and new french sliding doors were installed. A new half bath was designed and installed with the cabinets and granite matching the kitchen. A new laundry/utility room was also built with a closet and the matching granite and cabinetry. Family and friends are amazed at the transformation! We highly recommend this family run business. Their attention to detail was wonderful and they understood our needs and budget requirements.”
