They also helped and coordinated the removal of knob-and-tube wiring in my second floor and the installation of a mini-split; which was very important to me in my suite remodel. They were able to creatively find ways to make my bathroom and closet feel larger, luxurious and timeless. They were wonderful guides as this was my first remodel and helped ease the stress of this project. “5 stars all the way! Omar saw our "complicated" project, and let us know he could do it and was happy to take on a challenge. We are very happy with Omar and his company. I have done a lot of work over the years and am happy to say that if you live in this area, he is your guy. He was fair and honest from the get go. The price he gives you is the price you will pay. I never received any surprise "change orders". As contractors go, Omar was VERY open and communicative. No problems ever getting him or his crew on the phone. He had great suggestions on all things we discussed. Always seemed to know a lot about his work and various things people like. The project was a big one, and I am super happy with how fast it went. He even got started for us over Thanksgiving and Xmas, and his crew would show up on Saturday or Sunday sometimes to keep on working (which was fine with us!). There were no subcontractors involved... everything was through Noor Construction. If we had any minor issues that needed correcting, Omar would come and look at it and tell his crew what to do. We really appreciate the details, crown molding and trim was superbly done, and the tile was just amazing, we are very impressed with his team. I mean seriously anyone who has attempted to do crown molding in the past knows what I am talking about. For details if you've made it this far, our story: Where shall I start. I suppose we start with the idea: build a bedroom in the second floor space of our "great room" which has really tall ceilings... like 30 feet plus. So basically add a bedroom in the second story "empty space" above the first floor. Easy right? Well, after getting ghosted by several contractors, I finally called Omar. He informed he thought we were probably getting ghosted because the architect had told him that footings were needed to support this new bedroom which would be sort of like an island in the middle of the house. We live on a hill, so these support columns would have to go through the first floor, basement, and then under the house. This added to the cost, but we really wanted a bedroom in that space. Omar gave me a price. I told him no thanks, the cost came in higher due to the footings needed. After a few weeks, we talked it over, changed our minds. We really needed the bedroom. I called him, thinking "gosh he probably won't want our work". Omar came back, no change in price, same deal as before, he didn't even bat an eye, he was ready to go, and this was like 4 weeks later after I told him no. So yea, it was project that I was told was too much for people, everyone didn't want to go get permits or deal with the footings... Omar told us what to expect and stuck to the plan. He dealt with the County and the inspector always came and said even himself "these guys know what they are doing". We passed all inspections. Omar even was super flexible about adding things to the project as we went along.”

“We hired Hand + Hammer Development for a full kitchen remodel in our 1940s San Francisco home, and the experience from start to finish was outstanding. Eric and his team handled everything, design, permitting, demolition, and build, which made the whole process so much easier than coordinating multiple contractors ourselves. From the first consultation, Eric took the time to understand how we actually use our kitchen. He came up with a layout that completely opened up the space and gave us an island we didn't think was possible given our square footage. His design sense really set this apart from other contractors we talked to. Communication was a huge strength. We got regular updates, the crew showed up on time, and when we hit an unexpected plumbing issue behind the old walls (pretty standard for SF homes this age), Eric walked us through the options and kept the budget impact minimal. The project came in on schedule and close to the original estimate, which honestly surprised us given what we'd heard from friends about their remodel experiences. The craftsmanship on the custom cabinetry and tile work is beautiful, our neighbors have already asked for Eric's number.
