“I hired BKDP back in October 2011 to redesign the ground level and 2 second level bathrooms of my home. After interviewing different design companies, both my wife and I felt most comfortable with Fardid and Ken as they were very clear and detailed in explaining the whole design process and how they charge for design and renovation to us. The design process took about 6 weeks and the design was revised a couple of times as we added more items to our wish list. They presented different design and material options to us and guided us to select the design that we like. The renovation took about 3 months to complete and we were very pleased with the end result. During the renovation, their coordinator kept us updated with their progress and schedule without the need of me calling them. And whenever I call or e-mail them with questions concerning the project, they would respond to me right away. We are considering to renovate our basement later on and we would definitely rehire BKDP for their service without hesitation.”

“When it came time to renovate our 3 bedroom Condo, what we thought would be an overwhelming challenge became a most enjoyable experience. From the day we walked into Affordable Kitchen Company, we felt we were the most important people to" The Affordable Kitchen Company Family." Everyone was so involved in working with us, meeting our budget, helping us choose fixtures, colour of cupboards, backsplash, flooring, lighting etc. Our Kitchen is exactly as we had envisioned. Perfect in every way. Along with the Contractor and Affordable Kitchen's expertise, not only our kitchen was renovated so to was the major part of our unit, Hickory floors throughout, baseboards, crown molding, new door frames and doors etc. Everyone was very professional in every way. We have and always will recommend "The Affordable Kitchen Company" and their most super employee's. These renovations took place In the fall of 2013.
Now in 2015, The Affordable Kitchen Company, this spring renovated our two Bathrooms. Again a delightful experience. Quality, Professional, timely, on budget. “Three different renovated kitchens, three different homes in Toronto’s Annex, the escarpment in Stoney Creek and now downtown in renewed Hamilton. All have one thing in common - the deft touch of Biljana McDowell.
Cooking a gourmet meal has never been easier with Biljana’s smart practical layout and design. Silent drawers that are sized so Marta and I can fit a complete set of 11 pots into a single drawer, all the bottles of oil and vinegar fitting neatly into another easy to pullout drawer, and plenty of space for everything from groceries to the “good” Mexican dishes.
At small family dinners or large parties everyone gathers in the kitchen. As we planned the kitchen is the focal point of the house and entertaining.
Adding to economy of scale is superb workmanship that has stood the test of time and my occasional abuse. Unlike some designers Biljana actually listens to what you want and delivers your own dream not a copy of some trendy kitchen in a glossy. Add design genius, fun, warm, creative, practical, detailed, great to work with. Did I say cost-conscious?
I would hire Biljana a fourth time except my wife would kill me if we ever move again.
