“I originally contacted Karleen Shafer to help me with a design for my small backyard, which was used for parking, and completely overgrown with weeds and concrete debris from a torn down garage. Knowing nothing about landscaping or planting, Karleen provided me with two designs and photos of plantings that would work well for an inexperienced gardner. She was attentive to my requirements: a space to park two cars, a patio for entertaining, space for a gas grill, something aesthetically pleasing, and plantings that would be easy for me to maintain. I was so happy with the final design that I also had Karleen and her crew do the installation. This was a late fall installation, and her crew worked around rainy and cold weather to complete the project. She and her crew were respectful and trustworthy. The final layout was beautiful - a flagstone patio for entertaining, a gravel pathway to the tool shed, and a variety of tall grasses, bushes and plants integrated with the hardscaping. I received tons of compliments from family, friends, and neighbors! It was a total transformation and I have enjoyed entertaining and maintaining it for several years now. Karleen stayed in touch after the installation, making sure to educate me on preparing for the cold months (e.g., cutting the grasses back) and what to do in the Spring. “Four Seasons Designer, Dena Serrato, met with me on several occasions at office and my home to envision possibilities for front walk and wall, and complete back yard design and plantings. Once the design was accepted she recommended materials, plantings, etc. All coordinated with views from windows, seasonal color changes, and more. This was a major job including more than 10 trees, dozens of bushes and dozens more perennial plantings plus flagstone patios, brick walls, and brick walks. Excellent service and very customer-oriented. The crew that did the installation was fantastic. Arrived on time daily. Worked without idling. Cleaned thoroughly each day so all public walks and passages on the property were spic and span. Work was completed on time and according to specifications. I have done major landscaping projects at previous homes. My experienced assessment is that Four Seasons Garden Center & Custom Landscape company and all the staff and contractors who worked on this project are First Class.”
