“InsideOut Design planned a beautiful courtyard and natural landscape including a rain garden for our home after a major remodeling project. We could not have been happier with the results. Our garden is so unique and beautiful while being easy to maintain due to the use of indigenous plants and landscaping materials. People who visit our home are in awe of our garden and say that you would never expect such a natural space in a suburban landscape. The rain garden is a wonderful addition which allowed us an environmentally friendly balance to our remodeling project which increased the area of our home's roof and hardscape. The InsideOut Design team were professional, knowledgeable, artistic and incredibly visionary. They were also friendly, flexible and easy to work with as we had to maintain a reasonable budget for the project. “Mr. Fischer was very prompt and extremely courteous when he came to our home to look at our back yard. Although our landscape job was not as large as many his company has done, he treated it as though it were. his sub-contractors were very clean, professional and polite, making sure the grounds were kept free of rubble and debris during the project. Mr. Fischer came every day, often more than once to spend time with his workers to see the job was being done to our specifications. I liked the fact that Mr. Fischer immediately "got it" when we discussed the landscape design project, the immediate goal and the long-term goal to get to the end result. We are now in phase II of our little project. Again, Mr. Fischer is treating it and us as if it were the White House Gardens he was tending. It was almost like putting him on auto-pilot. I told him I was from the Deep South and missed my native plantings in this colder climate. He immediately proposed plants that I was familiar with, that would work with the soil, temperature, and placement. He understood our limited budget and our plan for the overall look. When we finally planted sod, he came everyday to check on the grass to be sure it was getting enough water. He sent emails to remind us what to be watching for and how to prevent problems. If we weren't home, he'd leave a note for us, and then follow-up with a phone call. It is no wonder his employees have been with him for over 20 years and his name in the landscaping business is a household word in our area.”

“We hired Bevins & Company to do a complete yard redesign and installation. The mission for the back yard was to remove a tired paver patio and to create a lush private space for entertaining and relaxation. The addition of two large structural trellises, as well as a screen of evergreens, gave us the privacy we needed, as well as giving us the space to grow ornamental vines that could be changed from season to season. Large urns give us a pop of seasonal color, and planting spaces, anchored by boxwood and climbing hydrangeas, allow us to attract butterflies and hummingbirds with perennials and annuals. The mission for the front yard was to remove overgrown shrubbery and to create a more open landscape for a large annual and perennial bed. Bevins & Company removed some plantings, worked with the remaining plantings, and balanced those with the addition of ornamental trees and shrubs. They removed an existing concrete sidewalk, re-oriented it to create a better traffic flow, and replaced the concrete with beautiful bluestone. During both phases, Bevins & Company was respectful of our budget and our time. Bevins & Company kept in constant touch so we were always aware of the project's progress. I would certainly hire this company again, and have recommended Bevins & Company to others.”

“After moving from North Carolina to Kentucky I thought by moving to a bigger city I would lose all the personal touches associated "yard" work businesses. Being well located I decided to try Louisville Mulch out. The mulch selection was really good and the prices were as good as what I got in NC. While I was paying for my mulch I noticed that they trimmed trees. Two days later they were at my house doing a major tree trimming job (they cleaned up every piece of debris) and planting bushes. This group does great work for a good price and they are friendly. My go to place in Louisville.”
