Woodburn & Company Landscape Architecture, LLC
Patio Designers in Dover
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsSeptember 2, 2021
“Woodburn & Associates designed the landscape for my recently-renovated home in Southern Maine and it is spectacular! I renovated a waterfront shingled cottage & wanted a design that would reflect the history and character of the house. It does that perfectly with stone walls, terraces, loads of hydrangeas and other “cottage” plantings plus lovely landscape lighting that glows in the evenings. I could not be happier with my choice of Woodburn & Associates.”

“Peter understands and appreciates the local Maine environment, what will grow well here and how to maximize the natural environment. We live on a Quarry and he designed a plan for us that would show off the rock formations with plantings that will thrive in our environment. We wanted to do the plantings ourselves over time to save money and get our hands in the dirt. He drew up plans that we have started implementing and each step adds so much to our view and enjoyment of our beautiful setting. Peter was easy to work with (even during COVID), listened well to what effect we wanted, and gave us ideas that we would never have thought of on our own.”

“Ted designed our garden over 20 years ago, and has tweaked it a few times since. His original design is still perfect, and is beauitifully suited to our 1848 house. The latest project(October 2020) was to create a small garden on the last part of the property that had never been addressed, a scrubby space under some hemlocks that only had trash cans and a generator. The hemlocks were trimmed up, the ground regraded, the generator concealed behind arborvitae, the area grassed and the beds planted with ferns, astilbe, climbing hydranga, a serviceberry tree and enkianthus. We were also able to repurpose some of the historic granite slabs from our property our property. His crew is very profession and the job was well-organized.”
