“After 20 years, our landscaping was looking dated. Family Tree Nursery recommended Laura Stack of CREATIVE OUTDOOR SPACES to provide some inspiration. From our first consultation, we knew Laura’s creativity would bring a fresh and bold look to our yard. Laura’s design expanded the front bed, added a flagstone path, rebuilt the stone walls, and she suggested plant material to accent our redesigned front entry. One of the things we really appreciated about Laura was her recommendation to repurpose some of our current bushes in several newly designed beds in the backyard. Laura addressed drainage issues in the backyard with Missouri River rock beds which melded into the natural lines of the yard. One of our favorite additions were large unique sandstone rocks to create visual interest and focal points in the beds. The beds in the backyard were expanded to complement the newly installed colored stamped concrete patio. Laura brought in new plant materials which added a variety of textures, color, and height. One of Laura’s great suggestions was the addition of a partial fence in the backyard which provides both visual interest and hides firewood and garden supplies. Laura’s design added evergreen trees and bushes which embrace the firepit area and will also hide the back fence when fully grown. Laura asked us to accompany her to select all the plant materials and featured stones fully engaging us in the process. Joel Bockelman’s COMPLETE OUTDOOR EXPRESSIONS, LLC team did an incredible job installing the plant material, building stone walls, placing the flagstone and rocks just the way we wanted them, and grading and sodding. Their patience and attention to detail was phenomenal. Laura's designs always considered the view from 360 degrees. Wherever you look from any angle brings interest and inspiration. We highly appreciate Laura’s creativity, knowledge, problem solving, and transparency of the budget and spend.”
