“In March of 2016 we started our journey to add outdoor living space to our home. We interviewed several companies in Las Vegas and determined Proficient Patios would be the partner for us to develop our dream living area. The process began with several visits from Matt who photographed our yard and spent time with us determining our desired outcome. We did not want a square designed entertainment space for our yard. We wanted a patio cover with curves and privacy wall, pavers with multiple designs and patterns, an eighty foot sitting wall with a custom fire feature representing fourteen feet of the length, planters to highlight existing trees, turf to provide accents of green separating the functional areas and LED lighting on our landscaping and in the pavers The design process was a pleasure as we were able to see pictures of our space with multiple designs to choose from and the ability to sit with the designer and create our project. This far exceeded seeing a design on paper as we could even place people and furniture to determine the functionality. Our direction was simply design us something that has not been done before. It is easy to say that Proficient Patios exceeded our expectations. In May we began our project knowing it would take between eight to ten weeks. Anyone who has ever done construction on their home knows that however long a project takes it is always too long as you anticipate your new surroundings. Our advice to homeowners is to be home during these projects. The need for adjustments and changes can and do occur and ultimately it is the homeowner’s responsibility to ensure the project gets finished to their desires. Our start day arrived and we embarked on the journey to our new space. As expected we had several challenges along the way as expected with any project. We were pleased with the fact that Matt or Jessica was always there to answer our calls or emails and resolutions were addressed and corrected. By being home during this process they were able to suggest changes to our original plan which enhanced our project. We had several crews working on our project with demolition team, landscapers, and plumbers for the gas line, patio cover installers, painters, electricians and supervisors. It was a pleasure to have all of them at our home as their level of professionalism and skill sets were second to none. After thirteen weeks our project was completed and was done so on budget. While it took a few weeks longer than we expected the end results were definitely worth the wait. We now have a beautiful living area extension to our home. Starting with the brilliant and creative design that Matt provided for us, to the outstanding entertainment area that we have today, we are so pleased. We are thoroughly enjoying it and love entertaining family and friends in our new space. We receive many compliments from neighbors, and vendors who see our new backyard area.
