“Ruth has been wonderful! We hired her to help us redesign our backyard including hardscape and landscape for our mid-century home we bought two years ago. “Garden Architecture worked with my wife and I to redesign everything outside the walls of our house. The work included a driveway, walks, two entrances, patio, pond, firepit, retaining walls, stormwater management (two rain gardens and an underground surge tank), site lighting and plantings. I am an architect so brought some of my own ideas to the project, good and bad. Kirsten was a great collaborator and a delight to work with. She is knowledgeable about the technical aspects of the work and a creative designer, for our project doing everything from addressing tricky grading and drainage problems to creating a beautiful environment in which we now happily spend as much time as possible.”

“Donald Pell designed my court yard with paths and circles of flagstone and fountains.the planting s are beautiful . People always asked what the plants are because they are not commonly used plants. We also had him do three other gardens for us. All with plants and trees I have never seen before. His employees do a wonderful job. They clean up everything and take it with them. They are very knowledgeable of the environment and the perfect plant for the location . We are very pleased with his work and highly recommend him. Some of the gardens are over three years old and are still beautiful !”

“We hired David for design and construction work for a full front yard renovation. The job entailed some complex issues associated with water drainage and unusual grading. David managed solutions for both of them with great skill. They were detailed in their description of the work effort, timely in the delivery of the project, and friendly and courteous throughout. The job contained both hardscaping and softscaping, both of which still look great four years post project. I highly recommend David and his services.”

“We are more than pleased with the work Martin did for us. We had just added a circular driveway to the front of the house and had 3 areas that required landscaping. I had a few ideas but I’ve never had a green thumb so wanted to get professional help. He responded quickly and was able to come by the next day. He not only listened to my ideas but helped expand them. He also was able to evaluate the soil and gave recommendations to improve it that we still use annually.
