“We hired Offshoots to completely redesign our front and back yards. We had an existing 20+ year old, 20X40 built in swimming pool and landscaping. We needed a major overhaul that include new pool deck, liner, stairs, hardscape and plantings. We never would have selected a grey pool liner (yes I said grey!) and it looks AMAZING! The natural landscaping is seamless and each planting transitions naturally from bed to bed. The natural stone fire pit and seating area are phenomenal. “We hired Elliott after talking with several potential landscape/design companies and interviewing 3 in person. He immediately stood out for his clear expertise, landscaping "eye", attention to our needs and goals, passion for his work, and wonderful manner. We had lived in our house for several years already so had a good sense of the strengths and challenges of our house plot and he was able to hone in on these immediately and offer solutions that made sense functionally and aesthetically. He and his team then conducted a detailed land survey, met with us to discuss options, and then he presented us with a plan that far exceeded our expectations. The plan took into account the unusual topography of our plot, provided space for all the functions we were looking for, and was just beautiful. He also reached out to our architect (this project was part of a overall house remodel plan) to integrate the indoor-outdoor flow, views, and functionality. We were so very impressed by his ability to meld the "big picture" elements with the specifics (like planting choices). The level of thought and work involved in the plan was far more than we had anticipated and we truly were blown away. He communicated every step of the way and also delivered to the timelines without any issues. Ultimately, we decided to move closer in to town (for reasons related to our work commute) and did not go forward with the installation of the project. However, we can say that we have worked with an architect and a number of contractors over the years, and by far, we feel that Elliot delivered the absolute highest value for our money, and beyond that, working with Elliot has been the most positive and enjoyable experience we have had.
