“GLD not only completely designed my front and back yard, they maintain it on a regular basis. They respond quickly when I contact them. They go above and beyond. I would recommend GLD to anyone that wants the WOW yard. I want to say to the last person that sent in a review and complained: You are an idiot. I have known the owner of this company for years and he has ALWAYS done a fantastic job. He explains what will work and what will not. I know he explained things to you. Your problem is you did not ask the real boss (your wife) before you said to go ahead with the planting. When she did not like it you made up some crap to save face with her or we know who wears the pants. Bottomline it was YOUR FAULT and NOT this company. So to anyone that read his comment please disregard as he has no class or commonsense.”

“We used Live Oak Manors for a complete overhaul of our back yard landscaping and hardscaping, including the installation of synthetic turf. The project was completed in December 2017 and we are extremely happy with the end result. What was once a muddy, sad excuse for a sloping back yard which only the dog set foot in is now a beautifully terraced level green backyard with clean landscaping that the whole family is enjoying. We worked directly with Garon Thelen, owner of Live Oak Manors, and found him and his entire team to be very professional. They provided us with a detailed estimate which aligned perfectly with the final cost of the project, with the exception of a few change orders which we requested. In addition to the backyard hardscaping and landscaping, we also used Live Oak Manors for the installation of an irrigation system in the front of the house which they were able to install in one day and are currently working with them to install exterior lighting. The whole project was done quickly, very professionally and on budget - which is why we continue to use Live Oak Manors.”

“John was great! Our front yard was an unorganized jungle that completely blocked our home. We asked John to design a yard that complemented the 1920's prairie style, and the result speaks for itself. The angles of the home are contrasted with the large decorative boulders and wavy long grass, and the home is surrounded by Japanese maples that provide color contrast. I am sure that John could explain all the nuance that comes together so beautifully, but for me it is just a job well done and a wonderful result. John also designed L-shaped raised bed gardens behind the home and planted a lush array of flowering plants that really make the home stand out. Thanks, John!”
