I used George to design and contract out the work for my entire backyard. I also used Jonathan for the finish landscaping of the backyard. This was a complete remodel of the backyard. Tear out the old, design and construct from the ground up. What a pleasure to deal with George. The project was like adding an addition to the back of the house with installation of rotating pergola / Equinox. The features we included were 3 wall fountains, gas fireplace, outdoor kitchen area. George is a class act and honest to the core. I’d recommend him to anyone willing to spend the money on something that will last and you will be very proud of. I’ll attach a few photos of the finished product.

The entire Allin Landscaping team is amazing!! From design to completion - they made the daunting experience of creating our backyard project possible. They have the ability to see the end goal and worked with us so we could see it as well. They are patient during the design and planning process, willing to modify and produce several versions of plans so that we could be confident in what we were trying to accomplish. Decisions regarding hardscape, pool type and finishes, and landscape materials are expensive. We love our new porch and outdoor kitchen, and working with George and his crew was a pleasure. We had been wanting a dry creek bed put in this area of our yard for so long that when Jonathan worked his magic we found ourselves staring at it like it was a mirage. It was so beautifully done it was hard to believe it was a reality. To Jonathon I said, "this is awesome" and he humbly replied, "I've done a lot of these". Well, it shows. Jonathan knows what he's doing and works hard to get it done.

George was a pleasure to work with. What started as an empty lawn transformed into a beautifully integrated outdoor extension of our home that we will enjoy year round. It includes an outdoor kitchen with concrete countertops and high end appliances; a pergola with retractable canopies and built-in gas heaters and fire table; a large stone patio for al fresco dining and all landscaping and lighting. George was our "one- stop- shop" as our landscape designer and GC for hardscaping. He pulled together a quality team for the structure, stonework and utilities. He was communicative, creative, knowledgeable, and professional every step of the way and turned my vision into a reality. Beautiful finished back yard, just as planned. Landscaping, patio deck extension with pavers, natural gas stone fire pit, flagstone steps, lighting, & electrical outlets. George was a pleasure to work with. He and those working with him were knowledgeable and experienced. He created a good design drawing, and detailed itemized cost estimate so it was clear what the scope included. He was patient with us as we modified the design and added design elements over several months. Communication was excellent so that there were no surprises. Final cost and end product were exactly as quoted. They obtained building permits as needed, He kept us informed of any delays in the construction dates, due to weather & delays in other projects. Plants were healthy and all are thriving except a few small ones that didn't survive the winter. We got exactly what we wanted at a competitive price and without any hassle. We're glad we chose Allin Landscaping and recommend them to others.

I would definitely recommend Allin Landscaping. George and his crew was a pleasure to work with. They were professional and their work is impeccable. The communication was excellent, their prices are great, and the crew is amazing. They delivered everything they promised and did so in a timely manner. I am more than pleased with my backyard transformation! The hard scaling and landscaping is exactly what I wanted.

George was very helpful throughout the project. He made sure he understood our goals, and helped us select the right trees to give us privacy year round in our backyard. We chose 12 hemlocks and 2 magnolias. George coordinated with the neighbors' foreman, who was building a new house for them, to secure access through their property, which saved us a lot of money since it would be difficult to access our back yard otherwise. George took the trees from a mountainside halfway to Chattanooga. He even let us select a few of the trees we liked by texting us photographs while he was out there. Installation went smoothly. George worked with me for a long time to get the trees positioned just right so they would block the most view from several of the rooms of our house. It was time well spent. The trees started growing soon after they were planted. George gave us tips on watering and feeding along the way. He also staked all the trees to protect them from falling over. Unfortunately, despite our conscientious watering and feeding, one of the hemlocks died; another is looking weak. The one that died was the most important blocker for where we look out every morning. I am quite disappointed and not sure what to do about this. The other trees look pretty robust. George also installed new drainpipes from our downspouts, carrying the water all the way to a creek on our property. Previously, the water had dumped right into the middle of our yard in several places. It looks much better with the pipes completely buried now. The crew did a great job of preserving grass where they could, or replanting it where they could not. We enjoyed working with George. He seemed genuinely concerned with the project's outcome throughout.

Excellent company! Created our dream backyard, very flexible and easy to work with. It's rare now-a-days, to find a company that is willing to work with you and not just worry about their company needs. We had to reschedule our project and George was flexible, understanding, and supportive. You can bet we'll be calling Allin Landscaping when it's backyard go time.

Our experience with Allin Landscaping was exceptional. We completely redesigned our rear yard. He was very helpful in providing the design suggestions, plans and top shelf contractors working in the area to perform the work. You really can trust him to get things right. The project took several months to complete due to various trades involved, was started in January 2017, completed in March and cost about $35,000.

George Allin transformed my new home’s landscaping and saved me from an immense amount of anxiety! My husband and I recently purchased a home in Middle Tennessee while we were still living out of state. There were a number of landscape improvements we wanted to make before we moved, including installing fencing and a driveway gate, reshaping the entrance topography with a substantial amount of cleaning and clearing of brush and trees, installing a stone border to define the entry and installing sod. I interviewed a few landscapers on the phone and George seemed like a perfect fit. I came to town and met with two of the candidates, but there was no question George was the one. He had great ideas, beautiful photos of other projects he had worked on and a very reassuring personality. He promised he would be on site managing everything, which was critical because I was going to be 4,000 miles away. I am a person who tends to micromanage, so not being here was going to be hard for me. For the next few months George and I refined the design and he gave me various options at different price ranges. Once we settled on the final design and the work started, George was out here for all of the work and would send me lots of pictures and Skype with me to keep me updated. He would consult with me on detail questions because he knew how important the small things are to me. Bottom line, when I drove down the driveway for the first time once we moved, I was elated. Everything was perfect. The reshaping of the topography, a huge undertaking, was better than I could have ever envisioned. The fencing was beautiful, and all of the details were spot on. We still have the planting portion of the project to complete, but I am confident that will work out as amazingly as everything else (and that’s the really fun part too). Although I feel like this is a glowing review, it really doesn’t capture the depth of my appreciation for all that George has done to create our sanctuary here. At my previous home I lived through two significant landscape improvement projects, and they were way more stressful than this one, which should have been more difficult because I was not able to be here for it. But, George made it a breeze.

We have a grand living area in our backyard thanks to Allin Landscaping. From the get-go, George brought his vision and creativity and worked with us each step of the way to come up with our final design together. It was a painless planning process. His team of professionals led by Taylor Hobbs walked us through each phase of the construction - from laying down the base deck, creating the cabinetry, building out the gorgeous privacy panels, to hand staining - these guys know what they're doing as evidenced by the results in the photos you see. We are so pleased and can't wait for Phase II of our project - the covering.

From start to finish George Allin was the ultimate expert while being patient, understanding and personable. During our first meeting as we walked my backyard I expressed to George what I envisioned in turning my previously rectangular typical back patio into a woodland retreat. While I was thinking inside the box, George wasn't. It is important to note that we collaborated. George listened attentively to my objective for the yard and he dished imaginative on-point ideas. George's nature is such that your ideas are as valuable as his. After our first meeting, we met a week or so later with the plan that George drew up and his "stone man" Craig Blackmer of Titan Landscaping. I was so pleased and in wonder with the plan that George put together. He perfectly nailed my vision for the yard. The three of us collaborated on the stone and materials and the desired style for the upper sitting area and lower patio and fire pit. (My backyard slopes from the home's level down to a large yard.) After that meeting George and Craig came up with an estimate. Meanwhile, given the impression the fellas left on me (I was knocked out!) I asked for an additional estimate for a pea gravel patio and walkway with a short boulder wall running alongside. After all of the boring business stuff, I eagerly awaited the start of the project. Weeks before the project was to start, George, Craig and I met at a stone yard to select flagstone, fieldstone steps, and pea gravel. The three of us went shopping in order to choose the precise stone! It was raining while we were there and Craig and George were as patient as can be while we colloborated and I counted on their experience and good taste. I was so excited to,get the project started! After demoilition of the existing patio, George physically marked out the dimensions of the new upper and lower patios (including the fieldstone steps connecting the two) and firepit with my involvement and acceptance. He thoroughly communicated to the build team the dimensions and measurements. I should mention that at this point I had a change of heart moving from three boulder-walled tiers to two. Craig said "easy, no problem" and made suggestions that were perfect. I also added a bubbling boulder fountain along the way. These guys are flexible and problem-solvers. After several weeks of expert hardscaping by Craig's team, including several visits by George and Craig, I have the most excellent woodland patio. I would not change a thing. The finished product is beyond my expectations. On top of that, George has offered on a number of occasions to accompany me a nursery to select plants, hedges and vines for the patio. He has also given me a list of plants that will suit the woodland style and sun versus shade. George is simply awesome. I feel very lucky to have found him. A call or text to either George or Craig was always answered. And promptly. When I couldn't reach Craig about a build-related item, George was always available to fill-in. Bravo, five stars, A+.

George put together a plan for my backyard that included hot tub, deck, lighting, hardscaping and landscaping. He was very patient as together we modified the plan to work in my price range and get what I wanted. He managed the entire process and kept me informed along the way. The final product far exceeded my expectations. It is beautiful and better than I ever imagined.

George was very helpful in putting my backyard landscaping ideas into a computer illustrated format. He had a unique idea for a water feature which came out great! He was also very helpful in helping us at a nursery in selecting three different tree species we were looking for. He came to the job site while it was being done by Titan Landscaping, who also did an excellent job. I would highly recommend George to help with any landscaping ideas.

I knew George Allin would be my landscaper the minute I met him. Call it a gut feeling and I'm happy to say, my instincts were absolutely correct! We sat down that morning and mapped out a design and poured over various trees, bushes, and flowers that would be appropriate for our yard, with consideration of sun, shade, etc. A few days later we went shopping at a few different nurseries and picked out our selections. George and his team were so professional, on time, courteous, and dependable. He has since dropped by several times to check on things, called me with his concerns, and continues to direct us on watering and maintenance needs. I will absolutely work with Allin Landscaping again!
