Arcadia Gardens, LLC

Arcadia Gardens just recently completed a total yard landscaping for our new home in downtown St. Joseph, MI. From beginning (late 2018) to the end (mid 2019), we could not be happier. I contacted their office and was set up with an appointment with Todd to met and discuss options, which was while the house building was going on. He provided some very insightful information and ideas, which was beneficial because our house was being built on the bluff and we knew that maintaining the integrity of the bluff was very important. Todd discussed keeping the natural growth in place to an extent was important. While it was clear their Company was busy, he found time to do a preliminary clean-up of the area in the Fall and install some turf in the backyard so when we were finally able to move in (early 2019) our dog would have some yard for her "needs". Then we worked through the winter with Corinne to design a nice plan that fit not only the lot but the house style and colors. Corinne was very professional, creative and flexible. Throughout the winter she fielded several questions and changes, coming back with great options and alternatives. She even sought the advice of her supplier on a tricky space that needed something showy but the spot wasn't very large. We asked for some extra options and she came through with fantastic ideas. We met with Corinne several times to discuss our thoughts and concerns about the yard and she was always enthusiastic and professional. Then the job started and I've never worked with a more highly professional group of workers. Oscar, Benito, Matt, Chris and Rafael worked at our house on and off over a period of 4 days and they explained the work they were doing and what to expect. We had hardscaping and landscaping done, and they each did their jobs to perfection. They usually arrived around 7:30a and didn't leave until the days work was done, which was often after 5p. In addition to their friendly and professional attitudes, there was no loud music being played, no loud talking (which I am sure the neighbors appreciated since they started at 7:30a), and no foul language. Having just experienced working with various sub-contractors on our house building, which all did the aforementioned, this was a fresh and welcomed experience. So if you are looking for true professionals with only your satisfaction in mind, Arcadia Gardens should be high on your list of prospective landscapers.

Arcadia Gardens did a complete makeover of our landscaping at our office. They lowered the grade of our front lawn four feet or so and changed the location of our current plants and added new plantings as well. They made numerous suggestions that we had not considered and three years removed we are still delighted! We are a financial planning practice and the exterior of our building is very important to us. We constantly receive compliments from clients and prospects on the appearance of our property. Arcadia Gardens is wonderful to work with and we are thrilled that we found them. My wife and I ultimately hired them to do work at our home as well. 5 Star rating for Arcadia Gardens from a repeat customer!

Beautiful design that incorporated both Anna's suggestions, as well as my ideas. She was a great listener. Created 4 large perennial garden beds and did lots of pre-planting renovation and clean-up (grinding stumps, resetting antique fencing, burying downspouts). Plantings have flourished over the past two years -- a testament to their health and Anna's recommendations. Planting week was the hottest of the season with temperatures in the 90's! Yet, the crew was always on time, good natured and hard working. They took pride in their work and even made some impromptu design suggestions that looked great. Occasionally, I have emailed Anna w/ a question about the care of a particular plant. She always responds quickly with great advice. It was a pleasure to work with Todd and Anna. Weeding is much less a chore when passers-by frequently stop to compliment the garden and/or to thank us for contributing to the streetscape of the neighborhood. I will always be grateful to Arcadia Garden for creating my favorite spot and making the whole process seamless and great fun.

Our newly built home presented a few challenges that Arcadia Gardens successfully overcame. 1) Our home is located 100+ miles from southwestern Michigan and 2) Our property had tons, literally tons of limestone "blocks" as well as other boulders that we wanted incorporated into our design. We were seeking a design for the landscape and hardscape including a patio and a large bonfire area. Anna was able to ask just the right questions to pinpoint our style from the types of plants and flowers, how much time we wanted to invest in maintaining the landscape to the smallest details such as the height of the fire pit. As promised, our design blueprints arrived in a timely manner and included plant names, measurements, different views, and more. We couldn't be happier with the plan created by Arcadia Gardens - our only regret is their business is located too far away for them to have done the installation!

Arcadia Gardens has been our landscaper for the last fifteen years at least. Started out with enhancing our landscape at our cottage with many projects after to a new home build on uncleared empty lot at our inland lake. Todd and Anna and crew never disappoint with their designs, hardscapes and knowledge of all plants and trees. Projects always done on schedule and in budget. Response is quick with any questions or problems we have. We entrust only them to maintain our landscape also. We were originally referred by a family member and they now have done four different properties in our family!

We are so pleased with the landscape design we received from Arcadia Gardens. My husband and I wanted something unique and beautiful. We actually PAID other landscape designers, then didn’t use their plans once we found Arcadia Gardens. Anna was very accommodating, We actually live in another state. We took pictures of our yard and sent her the plat. She created the unique design we were looking for. We made one trip to see her in person and discuss the plan and took it from there. Our yard is lovely because of her vision and flexibility. I would highly recommend Arcadia Gardens.

My wife and I now divide our time between Hyde Park in Chicago and a lovely house on Lake Michigan in unincorporated Berrien County. We have been enthusiastic customers/clients of Arcadia Gardens for more than 25 yrs. We depend on them for all of our landscaping and outdoor upkeep (except for the hundreds of bulbs we plant each year).
