Beth and her team were terrific, and turned our Sherman Oaks backyard with an aged pool into a handsome retreat. Beth is very easy to work with, has great aesthetic instincts, and really created something that fit us and our house wonderfully. She paid clear attention to our needs and desires, and came up with and executed a beautiful plan that we are truly pleased with. When we had any specific concerns during the design and construction process, she listened to us with care and either enabled us to see her vision more clearly so we were comfortable, or took our concerns to heart without complaint and adjusted course. She’s smart, highly-talented, competent, and takes great pride in her work as does her crew. And her end-product is excellent. We highly recommend!

Beth is a phenomenal landscaper and person! She cares so deeply about her work and the environment and it shines through in her work. Beth and her crew quite simply have turned my home into the sanctuary I was hoping it would be. Not only did she provide a gorgeous back yard with new landscaping, irrigation, pavement, lighting, a fire pit(!) hooked up to its own supply of gas (no tanks to deal with!), a sectional surrounding that fabulous fire pit, a dining area for ten, and recommendations throughout that would keep the cost reasonable; she and the team also provide a maintenance service that keeps me from resenting the responsibilities of home ownership. On top of that, I casually mentioned the wet crawlspace and dampness inside my home and that I'd tried unsuccessfully to address it through a heating/ventilation/air conditioning expert. Beth recommended that they install a French drain surrounding much of the house to redirect any rainwater that approaches the house to a basin before, upon reaching its capacity, it continues to the street. A year later, the crawl space has been described as "dry as a bone." So she solved the biggest problem with the house for a very reasonable price. I feel like I have a new home--one that feels healthy and gorgeous. Thank you, Beth. You're wonderful.

WE LOVE OUR NEW YARD! We hired Beth because it was clear from viewing her previous work that she comes from an artist's viewpoint. She has a strong sense of texture, space, color and movement that is rarely seen in many other cookie cutter drought tolerant landscapes. Her work is ART, and both my husband and I are musicians so we very much appreciate her sensibilities. And she is a lot of FUN to work with! And having fun is FUN!

So glad that we found BE Landscape Design on Houzz. Beth is a wonderful landscaper designer who listened to our preferences. We wanted drought-tolerant, low-maintenance, and native plants that attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Beth provided designs and lists of plant, and made changes as needed to accommodate our exterior solar batteries and AC systems. Octavio and his installation crew were also terrific to work with, very efficient, and dependable. Beth was onsite regularly to ensure that the installation went smoothly. We love the easy drip irrigation and lighting systems. The outdoor "after-construction" zone has been transformed into everything we hoped for. Beth and her crew have our highest recommendations and we'll be using their maintenance services.

Working with Beth on the design process was such a pleasure. She really listened and understood the look and functionality we were going for and nailed it on her first design. From the initial design concept it was so easy to work with Beth to fine tune. She has a great design sense and really understands what plants will do well and will be easy to maintain. Her construction crew and foreman Octavia were great. During the construction they were very accommodating with our kids and dogs. I was blown away by the quality of the work and how smoothly the construction process went. They even finished a week early. Beth takes real pride and integrity in her work and it shows. I can not say enough about the great experience we had working with Beth. We absolutely love our new front yard!

From beginning to end, we could not have had a better experience! We had a very dated pool area that needed a facelift as well as new gated entry. As soon as Beth walked in, she had a vision to add a long planter that would serve as a wall to the pool and revitalize the space. The decking was changed from eighties ugly brown to modern, sleek concrete. To say her crew was excellent would be an understatement. Every day they were right on time and did tremendous work at a fast pace. Both Beth and Octavio were on site every day, making sure all the details were taken care of. Beth was excellent at communication, making sure the project was just as we wanted it. As a bonus, they even finished ahead of schedule. The end result is so beautiful, modern and exactly what we wanted. Beth is so talented and we trusted all her ideas. If you're looking for landscape design, just stop looking and hire her!

Beth and her crew were a delight. She had creative ideas that fulfilled our wish for a beautiful refuge in our backyard. Lots of native plants, blooming colors, and good use of space. The crew was thorough, responsive, and timely. It was clear they took pride in their work. We've received so many compliments from our visitors!

Beth and her team were a joy to work and did incredible work. My wife and I only knew that our backyard was a scorched, south facing hellscape and everything we had tried there had failed and died. We gave Beth some inspiration photos and what she came up with was better than anything we could have dreamed. Her team built some indestructible benches and she made a serious effort to re-use things we already had (like pavers and our original fence) which I appreciated. Our backyard is a beautiful space that we actually enjoy.

Beth Edelstein did an incredible job completing a very long journey we had with our property. We decided to remove everything from our property, old walls that were falling over, a drive way and literally everything but the house. We brought Beth in, or maybe it was more like she took mercy on us and agreed to help, after a very challenging experience with a different contractor. We were not an easy client. We had most of our hardscape complete (walls, driveway, gates) when Beth came in to help us figure out how we were going to complete our property. We were somewhat clueless (well, maybe not my wife, but I definitely was) as to what our "vision" was. This is where Beth's expertise came in. She designed and installed an absolutely gorgeous yard for us. We wanted drought tolerant landscaping, but also something that wasn't a desert. Beth's vision for our yard along with suggestions from us, was truly a work of art. It's been about 4 months or so since the install and it is really looking amazing as the plants fill in. There was also quite a bit of unfinished work from the previous contractor. Most notably a drainage issue in one corner of the property that I thought was going to be exceptionally challenging to work out, however Beth and her AMAZING crew not only solved the issue, but did so with attention to detail which I really appreciated. One side of our house was also not really finished by the first contractor and Beth's crew came in and built a tile pathway and patio that has made this side of our home, my favorite place to spend time. For 14 years, I never even used this space, now, I love it. Beth's thoughtful design process, attention to detail, and patience with our questions and requests made the process collaborative and successful. I am grateful that Beth was above all patient with us. Personally, I was really over the entire project because of the experience with the hardscape contractor. Beth gave me hope that our property was going to look amazing and she delivered. I think it's also important to mention Beth was only working on our project when it was underway and her crew was professional, respectful, and worked their asses off to make sure we were happy. Lastly, Beth stayed within budget on the original job. We did change and add some elements, and Beth provided change orders and invoices promptly so there were no surprises down the road. Her communication through out the entire process was clear and to the point. I would absolutely recommend Beth Edelstein for landscape design and install. We have had people compliment our yard nearly every day since Beth completed the job. We are 100% satisfied with the results BE Landscape Design provided. Thanks Beth!

Beth Edelstein and her team did an outstanding job clearing and re-designing the back garden of our home. Solved some drainage and other problems as well. Included watering system and lighting, and veggie garden boxes. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful experience with Beth. We really appreciate how willing she was to work with us even though we intended to do much of the work ourselves. Her crew installed a beautiful slate pathway to the house and installed a great irrigation system, and she prepared a landscape design for us to work from. She even told us about what turned out to be a wonderful nursery that met almost all of our needs. We are really pleased with the final results (and so are our neighbors!), and while we can take a lot of satisfaction from our own efforts, we know it would not have turned our so beautifully without her help and support. Plus, she's just a great person, and I enjoyed the time we spent with her.

I’m delighted with the beautiful low water garden created by BE landscape design for my home in Sherman Oaks, California. BE Landscape Design’s principal Beth Edelstein, was directly involved in every stage of the project and was a dream to work with. She willingly met every challenge I put before her, such as preserving my late father‘s roses and his orange tree, doing something with the remains of a sidewalk I had previously replaced, planting a hedge to completely shield a neighbor’s out of neighborhood character front yard fence and a last minute request for a path through the garden. She creatively used the chunks of sidewalk to create a retaining wall to raise the garden and level it. She then selected plants to provide year round color to draw birds and butterflies, all in the context of conserving water. In,the backyard, Ms. Edelstein designed a pergola to replace and older deteriorated patio cover and a redwood cladding for an old brick wall which turned an eyesore into a warm focal point for the garden. In consultation, she created a pallet of green, white and blue throughout the backyard, with roses, crêpe myrtles, lavender, wisteria and star jasmine. The front and back yards are different yet completely harmonious. These are gardens are a pleasure to live with. I can’t give any but the highest recommendation to BE Landscape Design. They are a pleasure to work with In design, implementation and with available maintenance plans, which I used.

Her work totally improved my property in ways I hadn't even imagined, (yay) but even more than that, she made the whole process a joy - and who says that about a construction project?! We worked with Beth of BE Landscape design in putting together a landscape plan for our property currently under extensive renovation. We had very little overall vision for the landscape, and Beth was great at teasing out our preferences and coming up with a core design. From there, Beth was extremely responsive to our opinions and feelings, reworking her design to fit our constraints, while simultaneously letting us know what she thought would or would not work well. We are extra appreciative of her attentiveness to the requirements of our neighborhood's HOA. She was very understanding of the difficulties involved, and the deadlines we were under, to make sure the process was as painless as possible. Beth re-planted and installed all-new irrigation in both my back and front yards. Her team also added stucco to 2 existing retaining walls. Other than having to deal with a small rain delay, the work was done on time and as promised. Her crew is fantastic - friendly, conscientious and was very careful to clean up every night at the end of their work day. Communication was also great - Beth answered all my questions and made sure to walk the job with me weekly. I’m happy to have worked with her.

We recently hired Beth to landscape our backyard after we saw the beautiful job she did for good friends of ours. We were not disappointed! Beth is a gifted artist who works not with canvas, paints, and brushes, but with plants, wood, and stone. During the California drought, like many other homeowners, I wanted to get rid of my front lawn and put in some sort of garden. I wasn’t particular about the end result. Any old drought-resistant plants would have been fine. I mainly wanted to save water. I hired Beth based on the knowledge she demonstrated and her obvious enthusiasm for what she does. Her cost estimate was reasonable and within my budget, and her design drawing looked impressive, so I went ahead with the project. My front garden, when finished, turned out to be far, far better than anything I ever imagined. There are several other front gardens on my block (not designed by Beth), but everyone tells me that mine is the handsomest and best designed. I fully agree, and I couldn’t be more delighted with it. My next home project is to hire Beth to work her creative magic on the backyard.

I can't say enough good things about Beth and her team. We purchased a home with a very dated backyard that we were frankly embarrassed of. It was a big dirty job and instead of turning her time and attention towards an easier, more glamorous opportunity, Beth rolled up her sleeves and designed the heck out of our space. She's an ideas machine and her taste is impeccable. She patiently listened to our needs and stayed budget conscientious. She guided us towards solutions that met our concerns while also maintaining the ultimate vision of the design. When it came time to bring the vision to life, her foreman Octavio, worked diligently to make sure every detail was perfect. We had a lot of tricky angles and a lesser team would have taken shortcuts. But not Octavio. If something wasn't done right the first time, he made sure it was corrected until it was perfect. Plus, he's a really nice and respectful person. We're completely in love with the final outcome. Partnering with Beth was one of the best decisions we made.

The time came for us to do a complete re-landscaping of our home. We had enjoyed 15 years of basic lawn, some perimeter plants, and a small patio. It was time to invest in really developing the space to it’s potential both in function and in beauty. We chose BE Landscape Design after meeting with Beth, and being impressed that she had the combination of good ideas, considered budget, and exceptional quality in her work. Having recently finished the landscape, we could not be more satisfied with both the outcome and the process. We extended a patio with flagstone that continued out to a beautiful fire pit. She worked with a few of the existing trees to develop a curving landscape with a new lawn in the center. We then added a pergola (wooden trellis) over a portion of our patio which she designed. We also laid flagstone on our entire front walk along with a flagstone mailbox and new front landscape. The team which provides all the work are truly exceptional in both their timely and personal care for their work…as well as the quality of work. Everything came out stunning…and within budget. Beth is your dream landscaper. She makes you feel like you are her only client, extremely responsive to emails & texts. She is smart, creative, accommodating, and thorough. Her crew came Mon-Sat without fail and worked until 6 for three weeks. These guys are amazing and can do anything. They are hardworking, respectful, and neat. Such a huge contrast to our other contractor whose crew disappeared for weeks at a time and left the place pretty messy at the end of the day. Don't skip the lighting -- Beth is an artist and the lighting brings it all together.

Beth is fabulous. She thinks outside the box when designing. I love looking at my garden. The colors varied from greens, blues, purples, and some hints of red. All the plants were draught tolerant. One of the any things I love about Beth is that she is present and fastidious about each detail. I would hire her again in a heart beat and I definitely recommend her.
