Commented: What plant is the eggplant colored spikes?The eggplant colored plant is Cordyline. I believe the cultivar is Festival Burgundy.

Commented: Deck stain color and brandWe used an exterior black stain on cedar. The work was done by a local paint contractor so I don't have specifics on the brand name used.

Commented: Deck Stain or Paint?This project is stained cedar wood. A vertical stained surface with a black stain only needs to be re-stained every three or four years to maintain color.
