Boulder Landscape and Design

We have appreciated the timely feedback from Boulder Landscape Design. Cody De Forge, Landscape Designer, was willing to hear our questions and provided his advice on our requests to revise certain aspects of the landscape project. The working crew were hard working. Each day they swept the area of debris and removed unused material. We are satisfied with the design layout and supervision. Looking forward to installing the plants in the spring.

Considering a front and backyard xeriscape project, I asked a neighbor about his experience with BLD and their designer Catherine. He was 110% happy with his project's outcome so we moved forwad with BLD. Catherine was a delight to work with, we were very impressed with her expertise and suggestions, her customer care and can-do attitude. BLD completed the project on-time and on-budget, their team worked together beautifully. The sub that BLD arranged for, to install a sidewalk from the driveway to the backyard, was equally professional. In follow-up, Catherine arranged for same day service today to blow-out/winterize our newly-installed drip system. Happy ...... happy customers !

My husband and I recently had all the grass in our front yard replaced with rock, mulch and xeric plants. We chose Boulder Landscape Design for this project. Their pricing was competitive and the landscape design was beautiful. They did the job in a very timely and professional manner. When I changed my mind about one aspect of the design they took out rock and moved things around no problem. Our design manager, Samantha, was extremely responsive and friendly, either checking in via text or e-mail frequently. We love how the project turned out and I would definitely recommend them.

Samantha - our landscape designer, and the entire Boulder Landscape and Design crew, did a phenomenal job transforming our yard. Samantha listened to our needs and desires and developed a plan within our budget, including identifying low-water species of plants (many native to the area) and sod to plant that would withstand dog traffic, rabbits, deer and other critters that frequent our space AND provide color and interest during all seasons, and creating a space for a beautiful, tiered vegetable garden. The hardscape and landscape team that implemented the plan was extremely hard-working, conscientious, considerate and tidy. I highly recommend Samantha and BLD!

Full design & landscaping of our back yard -- removal of deck, new stone patio & paths, all new plants, outdoor kitchen, etc. Loved the way everything came out and team was great to work with.

We had a section of our back yard that needed both landscaping and revised fencing. The original wrought iron fence, part of a dog run, provided a closed space for a dog, but nothing of joy for us, and it excluded ready access to part of our back yard. We needed a remodel to carry forward the xeriscaped theme of most of the rest of our landscaping, provide a nice place to sit and relax, and hide our backup generator. Renovation would include cutting away a portion of an iron fence, completing a property boundary wall, removing lots of concrete curbing, revising the irrigation system, bringing in lots of new rock, soil, and mulch, and featuring plantings that would be Colorado-hardy, low-water-requiring, and colorful thought the year. Samantha, our designer, came up with a beautiful plan that artfully took into account our needs, the blending of styles, and resource conservation. BLD's construction crew was amazing, hard working, professional, perfectionists. The plantings are beautiful. The new custom-built wooden wall, finished on both ours and our neighbor's, and looks great. We could not be more pleased with the project. The design process was relatively painless. Pricing was very reasonable, without any surprises. Everyone was wonderful to work with.

Boulder Landscape and Design transformed our front and back yards! Samantha Spenser, the designer, was a pleasure to work with, providing expert design advice and excellent customer service. One of the best parts is how often neighbors tell us how wonderful our yard looks. They ask about specific plants, of course, but they also ask about the designer. Samantha was attentive, prompt, and open to changing circumstances. After our initial design was finished for our back yard, we--unfortunately-- needed to cut down a large tree that was diseased. Since that changed the amount of shade and the visual aspect of the design, Samantha re-worked the design and it came out great. I totally recommend Boulder Landscape and Design.

BLD designed and landscaped our yard both back and front, including irrigation and lighting systme. They have done a perfect job, and I am so proud of being one of the most dedicate garden in our neighborhood. I would highly recommend Boulder Landscape & Design! I worked with BLD on a landscape design and installation for the entrances of my neighborhood in Longmont. Samantha Spencer was my landscape designer - she was great. She actually listened to the landscape committee about our ideas then helped to guide us to the final product. The new gardens are beautiful. To my surprise, Samantha was at the project daily checking on the progress and supervising the work when needed. The crew was punctual, professional and cleaned up after themselves everyday. I had a great experience with Boulder Landscape and Design.

The BLD crew tackled a very complex and labor intensive project to redesign and rework a large yard with steep grades and poor access. Design work was thoughtful with great guidance to what was feasible within the project budget and other trade offs. The crew during implementation was incredible, always on time, always very polite and cleaned up at the end of each day. They did not cut any corners and reworked anything that wasn't perfect of their own volition. Highly recommend them for large and complex projects.

We are beyond satisfied with BLD's re-work of our entire backyard, and fixing a drainage issue in our front yard. We worked with Catherine who heard our drainage concerns and our vision of how we wanted to use our space, and produced a design that was above our expectations. Once we decided to move forward, the whole process was straightforward, and the crew were extremely efficient and professional. I have absolutely no concerns or complaints. We are so happy with their work we plan to reach out to them to xeriscape our front yard.

Wow! Boulder Landscape and Design provided us with a completely reworked backyard that has become an extension of our living space, complete with walkways, gas fire pit, raised garden beds and plantings that match my photographer aesthetic! We had added a studio to the backyard and wanted a yard that was updated and worked for us and our actual outdoor living style. Catherine was an absolute delight to work with and took my dreams into a creative and beautifully executed plan. I now have plantings that will be a joy to photograph all year round. The entire team was professional, caring, and communicative and my husband and I now have a yard that we love and enjoy every moment we have to spend in it!

Our landscape designer, Catherine Wells, was able to incorporate our ideas into the most beautiful landscape design! We have a small backyard, but her plan enhances the open space and creek behind our home. I cannot wait for work to begin on this project, so we can enjoy what Catherine has created for us. We hired Boulder Landscape and Design (BLD) for a total backyard re-do and a front and side yard rehab with new plantings, ground cover, boulders etc. The back yard project included replacing old window well retaining walls, irrigation, stone edging, sod, tree/bush plantings, rock and mulch placement etc. I shopped around with four different landscape companies and had bids from several. BLD was the lowest bid by 5-10% and we really connected with our designer Catherine Wells who also supervised the entire installation process which took about a month. The design was great and the installation team was top-notch. They were really nice guys, professional, on-time, helpful, respectful, responsive, and they cleaned up at the end of every day. They couldn't have done a better job. Catherine (and her team) solved every problem that came up without any hesitation or friction. She was amazingly available and responsive. It was really an easy and fun process to see it all come together. We love the final product and we are getting lots of compliments from our neighbors. The retaining walls look great (really a surprising improvement over the old ones) and seem bombproof. Landscaping definitely seems expensive but when you see a crew of 4+ people working hard in your yard every weekday for a month+ you realize why. We give our highest recommendation to BLD and Catherine and thank them for the great job they did on our landscaping.

BLD is terrific. They've worked on 3 projects for us: installation of a french drain in our backyard, landscape redesign in our front and back, and further redesign of our back in conjunction with installing a flagstone patio. They're responsive, friendly, conscientious, and very professional. In each project, in addition to delivering an excellent end product (our patio is fabulous!), they would diligently clean and maintain the worksite (i.e., our property) to make the work as painless as possible for us. Catherine, or Cat, is one of BLD's designers, and she's been amazing. She's communicative, patient and totally invested in our projects and beautifying our outdoor spaces. She and BLD are our "go to" for exterior landscape work. And Chuy, a crew lead, is Mr. Everything. Call them!

Great experience working with Catherine and the full team - they gave us great design options, worked with us to decide the scope, and did a fantastic redo of our whole yard. The crew was fast and friendly and they've checked in a few times since to make sure we know how to handle surprise freezes with our new sprinkler system. Highly recommend working with this team.

Catherine Wells was just a delight to work with. She was incredibly thoughtful in her designs and her designs completely reflected our vision. We could not be happier with how the landscaping on our exterior remodel turned out. We will continue to work with Catherine and Boulder Landscape & Design!

BLD came out to give me design options for the back yard of our new home. Jamie, the owner was amazing and very responsive. They provided me with a couple of great options for us to work with and even did a couple of design options for the front yard as well which was more than I expected. I will absolutely work with BLD in the future and trust Jamie to handle whatever future projects we have.
