Our family is in love with the beautiful outdoor space Stephanie and the Curtis Horticulture team designed and installed for us. It is beautiful, functional, and worth every penny. Every member of the team was professional, friendly, and great to work with. Beautiful work takes time and costs money, but I’m so glad we made the investment. I tell my friends that it feels like the atmosphere of a 5-star hotel in wine country, but kid-friendly and in my own backyard here in San Jose. I hope to enjoy our magical garden long-term, but if we ever move, we will hire Stephanie and the Curtis Horticulture team again.

We had an existing cement cistern on our property that we wanted to convert into a functioning water feature with rain water collection and a waterfall. For months I tried to find someone for this unique project, but no one knew how to handle it. Stephanie and Glenn were the only landscapers around who would take on the project. They helped us visualize, design and install everything we needed to create a backyard paradise. They were patient, knowledgeable and responsive from start to finish. I still can't believe we have such a beautiful backyard oasis! Thank you Glenn and Stephanie!

In mid 2018 I hired Curtis Horticulture to remove my entire back yard (4200 sq ft, with full grown hedges and trees, plus lots of concrete) and replace it with new concrete work and new landscaping. It was a big project and cost accordingly. Summary – more or less in order of time: Design process: Efficient and detailed. Began with a conceptual design and finished with a scale drawing (1 inch to 8 feet) showing where all the plants and concrete work would go. Good consideration of our requirements large and small. Speed and effectiveness – demolition of old yard and installation of new yard – concrete work, drip watering system and plantings: five stars. The crew showed up when expected and worked hard and well. There were no meaningful delays. Communication during installation: five stars. The on-the-job supervisor was there often and always kept us informed. Communication after installation: three stars. A big landscaping project is not “done” in the same way that a new roof is done. After the plants go in they have to take hold and flourish; plants that die have to be replaced; the watering system has to be improved based on experience. This work did get done but communication about when it would be done and how was only adequate. Results now, 18 months after installation: Five stars. As the trees, shrubs, and flowers grow out and up we’ve become more and more pleased with the way the yard looks. We’ve received many compliments from friends. We're expecting it will look better and better as the trees grow up.

Stephanie and team were amesome and delivered a wonderful design for our backyard,. Some things we really liked about working with her was that she - listened well, took our input on goals / desires for our backyard - respected our budget - was knowledgable about plants: colors, textures, light/water tolerances, etc - created distinct spaces and 'rooms' in our yard that we thoroughly enjoy - was very pleasant and communicated well Highly recommend!!!

We hired Curtis Horticulture because our front yard was in dire need of a make-over. It was a big project, and we could not be happier with the results and the service provided by Stephanie, Glenn and their entire team. From design concept to selecting materials, the demolition and construction, and even their post completion follow up there was excellent communication, execution, and professionalism throughout. You can tell that Stephanie and their team take real pride and care in how each of their projects turn out. Another thing that we really appreciated about their company is that everything is done in-house, they don't hire subs. They started on time, and completed on time. At our initial consultation, Stephanie informed us about our local water district's landscape rebate program which we could take advantage of, since we were taking out the old lawn and putting in a new drought tolerant landscape. Glenn and Stephanie helped us submit the necessary paperwork and understood the plant requirements to comply, and in the end it saved us thousands of dollars. Stephanie and Glenn came up with a couple different design options for us and then used our feedback on everything from the plant list to lighting plan to create something that's unique, thoughtful, and that we are so proud of. Neighbors stop to tell us how much they like our yard. The new paver driveway is beautifully done. They built a long hand-stacked stone wall along the front of the yard, and also did two poured concrete walls that add a more contemporary touch to the design. There's a nice mix of different ground materials and coverings, so there's enough greenery to blend with the mulch and stone, even without a lawn. We give Curtis Horticulture, Inc. our highest recommendation!

Curtis Horticulture is amazing! They took my construction debris filled backyard, and turned into a park like space filled with drought tolerant, low maintenance plants. Stephanie Curtis listened to my conflicting desires for lots of color and fragrance along with water conservation and low maintenance, and managed to deliver a dream garden. There is always something in bloom, a new pleasure to discover at every turn, and hummingbird and butterflies love the new garden. I saw their process of transforming rocks and debris from the ground up and have been very impressed by their professionalism, courtesy and follow up!
