Dalat Landscape Design & Furnishings is led by Dat Pham, who is known for mixing classical and tropical gardens with modern materials and unique furnishings. His acclaimed work is inspired by the lush gardens of his hometown Dalat, Vietnam, Hollywood Regency, Contemporary California Modernism and frequent travels to Italy, Spain, Mexico. His gardens have been featured in Garden Design Magazine, the Wall Street Journal, California Home and Garden, and Sunset Magazine. "My approach to each garden is unique, working in a vernacular as varied as the places my wanderlust has taken me: from formal Italianate gardens, to minimal modern Zen, metaphysical gardens based on the four classical elements of air, water, fire and earth, to a roof garden grounded in addressing very real water drought issues. Gardens are both an aesthetic and a conceptual challenge, but always has to make sense to real, human experiences."

I could go on and on about how terrific I think Dat is. I'm not peach in terms of being satisfied, but I love, I mean love, love, love the work we did together. I go out in my garden and feel that he totally got what I wanted and made it happen, and at a way more reasonable price than lots of other people I spoke with. I have a roofdeck in S.F., not big, but not small either, and I'm a fantastic about tropicals. Unfortunately I don't live in Brazil and it's pretty windy so we had to figure out ways to make it work. Amazingly it does, and actually was at Crystal Palace in Golden Gate over the weekend, and felt they had nothing on us. Dat has wonderful knowledge of plants, suppliers, is a pleasure to work with, as are his guys, and most of all the whole process was fun. Can't say enough good things.
