Dale Design, Inc. Landscape Architecture is a Boston-based design firm with a mission to work closely with discerning clients to create outdoor environments that invite activity, reward the senses, while realizing a client’s programmatic desires. We strive to resolve and enhancing the daily connections between interior and exterior spaces. Our design philosophy calls for the fresh interpretation of classic, timeless principles of order and proportion to create meaningful and elegant spaces for our clients. Whether the project is a Beacon Hill courtyard garden or a multi-acre Southborough estate, our aim is to create environments that enhance their surroundings, inspire their inhabitants, and awaken the imagination —all while responding to an articulated financial plan.

Dennis is a highly experienced landscape architect who listens to his clients needs and solves them. Not only that but he solves them in creative ways and makes sure that the things you didn't even think about are also taken care of. Highly recommend him.

Dennis designed our backyard patio and our front yard walkway. He was a pleasure to work with on this project, carefully listening to our needs and wants, and designing a landscape that met them. In addition, he was very responsive to feedback both from us and our contractor, ensuring that the project moved smoothly from start to finish. The result is a patio that has become a focal point for summer gatherings and a favorite place for family dinners, as well as a front entry that looks fantastic but is amazingly easy to maintain. We really enjoyed getting to meet and work with Dennis, and wholeheartedly recommend him.

Dennis did a fantastic job designing and implementing entirely new landscaping for a significant portion of our property. The project included the installation of a long wooden fence providing privacy from a busy through-street, several new granite stairways tying previously separated portions of our property together, a new stone patio, a rock garden, several trees, and multiple other plantings. Throughout the process, Dennis was thoughtful, creative, and patient working with my wife and me (we had never been through a project like this before). He listens well and is able to effectively translate between the vision that we created for our property and the ultimate buildable plan for the contractors implementing our design. As a result, the end product was even better than we had envisioned. I highly recommend Dale Design.
