DDLA Design Landscape Architecture

Lance is incredibly talented. His landscape design is unique, well thought out and stunning. He has very cutting edge software that can show the design in a 3D setting so that you have a very good idea what the project will look like. I highly recommend him.

DDLA is incredible. They are far and away the most professional and knowledgable landscape team we have ever worked with. They have excellent designs and ideas, and are quick to make any changes. They provided options at all price points, and offered expert opinions as to what would look best but did not put any pressure on us. It is obvious their only goal is to make sure the homeowner is happy with the result. They have tremendous pride in their work and are quick to fix any issues, plus they are also fun, friendly, and easy to work with!

We had an opportunity to work with Lance and DDLA on two occasions. Once when designing a new landscape for a home we were building and again when we moved and needed to rework the existing hardscape and landscape. In both cases Lance brought great design ideas to the project and helped us stay within budget when evaluating different design elements and materials. He made introductions to multiple high quality contractors to do the installation and maintained close communication with them to ensure that our vision was achieved on time and to our satisfaction. Lance Dickinson was our contact at DDLA for the landscape design on our new home. Lance was great to work with and did a really great job for us. He had a lot of great ideas but was also very good at incorporating and listening to things that we wanted. We had several items that we added such as a pool and awning that were not part of the original design before we bought the house. Lance came up with the design for these ideas and helped to make them fit into our overall project. I would highly recommend using DDLA and Lance to anyone looking for a Landscape Architect.

We interviewed several landscape architects for the construction of our custom home in North Dallas. DDLA (Lance Dickinson) won our business "hands down" ! Since were were trying to achieve a landscape that complimented the architectural style of the house (transitional/contemporary) and control the drainage of the lot, it was important to have a partner that was a good listener in addition to contributing creative ideas to our vision. From the first meeting it was evident we had chosen the right person. We provided Lance lots of photos from other projects, plants, and design features we liked. Within a few weeks he presented a detailed landscaping plan that had amazingly incorporated our ideas and his many suggestions. From that original plan we made only minor changes to the final product. He also prepared a computer model of our house with exterior and interior views of the landscape plan in both day and night--really helpful to visualize the landscape in conjunction with the house. Lance has a great eye for scale and design but his strongest skills are listening to the clients desires.

My husband and I worked with Lance on a complete renovation of our backyard and patio area. He was wonderful to work with and his design talent is incredible. His use of 3D renderings allowed us to see the end result before we started construction. He recommended professional and equally talented team members to work on all aspects of the project. Lance also helped us work on the budget so the most important dollars were spent where they would have the most impact. I can't say enough about his creative skills and professionalism. We love our backyard!

Our experience with Lance Dickinson of DDLA Design met every expectation we had for our project. From the thorough initial consultation, through the CAD design and the oversight during construction and then the final decorative consult, all aspects of the project met and exceeded our dreams. Lance had initially designed and perfectly implemented the landscape of our front yard and he then exceeded what we desired in our backyard project.
