Deborah is a licensed Landscape Architect and Professional Planner who also holds a degree in plant science. Our firm employs a select group of Landscape Architects and support personnel. By acting as a prime professional or as part of an interdisciplinary team, Deborah Cerbone Associates, Inc. will fulfill your specific land-use needs. We offer expertise in site selection feasibility studies, land-use and master planning, site planning, urban design, park and recreation design, residential and estate design, historic preservation and restoration, planning and zoning approvals, and horticulturally sound planting design. Our office utilizes AutoCAD, which allows us convenient and efficient coordination with other project professionals. I would respectfully have to disagree with whoever gave a bad review. We hired Deborah and her team to design an entire landscape after combining two properties, both having a few spectacular old trees but not much else in the way of landscaping. This became a 4 acre property when combined that needed a consistent look and to feel as one property that had always been together. It was large, flat and uninteresting. We asked her to create a sense of warmth and character befitting its historic in-town Princeton location and boy did she deliver! We are still in awe of what a fabulous job she did of creating spaces and ‘rooms’ using borders of trees and beautiful flowering shrubs, boxwoods, perennials, grasses and ferns. We collaborated on the type of gardens we like, shared Pinterest photos and she designed the most fabulous gardens with a white and purple color palette. It’s simply stunning. No one enters the walls of our property without commenting on its beauty. I would recommend Deborah any day of the week. In addition to her creative talent, she is easy to work with, doesn’t overpower you with ego as many creative professionals do and is genuinely a warm and kind person. I wish all our contractors were as flexible and invested in the final results as she is. She designs from the heart and it shows.

Deb and her team were incredible. From the initial design phase, she listened to what we liked and what we would like our dream outdoor experience to be like. She even came up with ideas that we would never consider and ultimately went with. Deb and her team were even there when the plants and trees came in, so they can be inspected before planting; a true first class experience! Now, 5 years later, the property is maturing beautifully; nothing overgrown and messy, just perfect. We give Deborah Cerbone Associates our highest recommendation and wouldn't do another project without her!

I have had the pleasure of maintaining some of the beautifully designed gardens that Deb Cerbone and her team designed. The balance of stone work and amazing plant choices make Deb's designs unique yet natural and well matched to the setting. We see many gardens that are designed for the short term with plants that may initially look good, but quickly become too big or not compatible in the space they are in. Not so with Deb's designs. We recently build a home in New Jersey and hired Deb Cerbone Associates as our landscape architects. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Deb and her team of landscape planners. They designed a landscape that incorporated the plantings that were our favorites as well as suggested scrubs and trees that would do well in our yard. The overall result is magnificent. They were very professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with, They designed a fabulous landscape for us including an outdoor living room complete with a fireplace, hot tub and outdoor kitchen. We also had them design and plant bulbs for us. They did and excellent job and we have something blooming in the garden throughout the spring and summer months. We would highly recommend Deborah Cerbone and Associates.

Deborah Cerbone was wonderful and easy to work with. We turned a rotting deck into a beautiful multi-level patio complete with kitchen and fire place. Statile and Todd did the demolition, electrical, plumbing and construction. Deborah was involved from the first conceptual meetings through to the final plantings. I appreciated that she listened to our ideas but that she brought her wealth of design experience to bear to suggest changes that we couldn't have thought of ourselves. Often, such as when we were designing the fireplace, she gave us several choices of designs. She has great taste and is creative. Her office even helped us find and order our teak patio furniture. All of the people I dealt with at Deborah Cerbone Associates were pleasant, knowledgeable and timely. I would highly recommend the firm.
