I have known Richard and team for 20+ years. He designed and installed the landscape around my home and listened to what I had envisioned. He is a very talented and knowledgeable designer with vision! I wish I had a photo to show you the "before" and "after" but I have since left Connecticut and relocated to North Carolina. I tried to get Richard to come to NC to design my landscape at my new home!! He is a fair and honest man of integrity who will wow you with his ideas!

Richard does it all. From design to installation to maintenance. His designs custom made to the type and style of your home. HIs crew are hard workers and very reliable. Always on time and delivers exactly what he said he would. We always get such great comments from our neighbors on how beautiful our gardens and landscaping are. We recently hired Richard and his team to do our front walkway and not only were they fast, they were very reasonably priced. They did such a great job, that we are having them back this spring to do the opposite side of the walk. They went above and beyond and even took the extra effort to clean up some other debris we had in and around our walkway. I highly recommend them.

Richard Schipul and his crew have been tending to and maintaining our gardens for the past few years. I find him to be dependable, responsive, and highly creative. This is backed up with an impressive depth of gardening knowledge, both practical and technical. He's a great designer. I’ve learned to stop trying to impose my own design ideas on Richard. His are better, so I now turn things over to him completely and let his creative juices flow. I am always surprised and delighted with his choices.. Our neighbors often stop by to tell us how much they enjoy the seasonal plantings Richard installs at the entrance to our property. After several years, he knows our garden well,, and is always a step ahead of us in maintaining it. With Richard in charge, we can be worry free, knowing that things will be cared for in our absence.

My husband and I have used this company on more than one occasion. Rich is a great listener with a wealth of knowledge in his field. He is honest, reliable and even compassionate(he worked around a nest of baby bunnies and returned to finish the job when the left!) We love the design and plants he chose for our home.

Richard has truly given us a backyard which is "paradise" all year round. I highly recommend him. We have worked with him for many years, and expect the relationship to continue for many more.

Rich has an incredible mastery of Landscape Design. We hired him in 2018 to design a plan for our property that focused on using native, sustainable plants, and the end result was incredible. The installation has taken place in phases based on our budget, and we are constantly getting comments about our property since the project began. I can't recommend him highly enough!

We have utilized Designing Eden several times on our property. Richard is a man of his word. The work is always done on time and done right the first time. He is a creative designer and his work is always impeccable. He is one of the few landscape architects in CT. He will always work within the budget we establish before the job commences. Richard has a wonderful eye for design. I was looking for low maintenance landscaping that was natural to the area and would look beautiful, and he understood my needs perfectly. His prices were very reasonable as well! I was thrilled with the results and will continue to use Designing Eden for landscaping projects going forward!

We recently moved to CT from the East End of Long Island and Rich came to the rescue. We did not have a monster job but what he suggested and implemented was certainly a 5 Star project. We are so glad we decided to work with Rich and I plan to keep adding to our initial plan. Rich is so helpful and informative, job was done on time and whenever I have a question he is there for me.
