I don't know where to start to express how extremely pleased I am with how David transformed my backyard to a well thought out and beautifully designed oasis that brings me so much happiness when I step out my back door. David turned a dangerous and sloping backyard that had concrete walls that were unfinished into a well thought out two-tiered garden with a large blue stone patio, sitting walls, raised planting beds, gorgeous Juliet landings and stairs to a lower level bordered by hydrangeas, rhododendrons, ivy and grasses. On top of that he chose indigenous rocks, stones and plants that are native to Connecticut and created stairs and bordered then with rock gardens that are planted with ferns and other perennials. He also designed a new blue stone entrance to my basement and removed an unsightly bilco door that was leaking into the basement. Everything needed to be correctly graded which was done leaving me with a dry easy accessible basement. An outdoor shower was installed and an area was put in for a gas grill and stepping stones were placed in that area making a pathway to the front yard. The entrance to the front of the house was also completely redesigned by David making it much more welcoming and inviting. A new driveway and parking area with new drainage was designed and constructed. Fences, gates and new lighting was done in the front as well. David was wonderful to work with! From design and execution of my project he was so attentive and saw that everything was done to my satisfaction. I can honestly say that my property turned out to be so much better than expected. I would highly recommend David for your landscape design project of any scope and scale. He is totally commited to seeing that you are completely satisfied focusing on every detail imaginable.

David had a vision for our unruly landscape that he calls "the tundra." We are up on a hill with not much dirt or room to do what we wanted. Through his artistic ability, expert guidance and reliable subs, this dream is now a reality. Where we had a mostly decorative pool, we now have a 45' lap-pool and hot tub. Where we had an ungainly 70's "rock feature," we now have an effortless garden with room to breathe, hang out and play. Our yard is now a showstopper. Thanks so much, David!

David Schiffer of DMS Site Designs designed our outdoor stone patio which includes an outdoor kitchen area as well as a double sided gas fire place which is between our seating and dining areas . I originally met with David and expressed what we were looking for. He took away the items I indicated we wanted to be include and created an outdoor space that surpassed my wildest dreams. The area he created is more then an outdoor patio it feels as though we added an extra room. We love it ! David also helped pick out not only every fixture but the outdoor furnishings as well.

David helped us design the new hardscape for an exterior house renovation and then helped us come up with the planting plan for our new layout. He had good ideas and was willing to work within our budget. He was very helpful in the selection process and installation of all of the plantings as well.

David has done (and continues to do) a superb job. I did not have a single project that needed doing. Instead, I needed someone who could do anything and everything to bring out my homes inner beauty. David has patiently helped me with everything from shutters to garden design. He has impeccable taste, great vision and will do the dirty-work of holding everybody accountable. He responds quickly to questions, keeps to deadlines and is always prompt. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of plants and I have learned a great deal from him. I would recommend DMSsitedesign to anyone. All this talent is not cheap but the results are worth it.

Hired David to redesign the landscaping in the front of our house, and reconfigure an existing pathway into a gravel driveway. We were extremely pleased with his professionalism, attention to detail, and timely turn-around. He also found a way to reuse the unsightly existing plants, opposed to throwing them away. The transformation speaks for itself.

David brought the outside of our house up to date including new garage doors, an arbor, driveway, choose paint colors, new shutters and did a beautiful job landscaping the property.He is creative and most important he is great to work with, a total professional.

David is a truly gifted Landscape Architect. He designed a classic, low maintenance English boxwood landscape that is so beautiful - people knock on the door to tell us and ask for contact information. The landscaping and irrigation contractors he recommended are so competent and professional as well. Overall, the best money we have spent on our home!

David did an absolutely amazing job transforming the landscaping of our home. He listened carefully to what we wanted and exceeded our expectations. We are constantly getting positive comments about our yard from both friends and complete strangers. In fact, the person responsible for our lawn service took a photo of our backyard as he was so impressed that he wanted to show it to others. In addition, David always returns your calls and answers your questions on a timely basis and is a pleasure to work with. I recommend him highly and have already done so.

DMSsitedesign did a fabulous job designing and overseeing the installation of all of the landscaping around our new pool and cabana area. David and his staff were sensitive to our needs and budget. His expertise extends far beyond landscaping, he is a true design professional as is evidenced by his work. We continue to get compliments, even from friends who have been to the house many times. The work DMSsitedesign did looks beautiful in every season. I plan to use them again when we redesign the front of our home and landscaping. David Schiffer's vision for our project completely satisfied all of our expectations and totally exceeded them.
