Equinox Landscape

Equinox did an excellent job landscaping my home. I had just moved into a new home on .5 of an acre, I wanted to turn the mostly weeded yard into a sanctuary and a great place to entertain. I wanted a drought tolerant garden, a place to grow flowers and vegetables, a place to sit by a fire pit, a nice patio for dining, and they even came up with a secret room we created we call "the moon garden". I am a designer and avid gardner, so I was not their "normal" client (smile), I wanted to be part of the design process. There were changes along the way and they graciously worked with me. The team that worked here for almost 4 plus months were upbeat, they often sang while they worked! I now have a "Rain Garden" in the front of my house that takes the water off the roof, down a rain chain and into a swell, it is oh so beautiful when it rains. Also at night the lighting is spectacular and dramatic in an understated way. I LOVE my new landscape! On the business side of things I had never worked with a contract like they have, I would make sure you understand and read it carefully. If your project is large you may want to check to see where you stand 1/2 way through, to make sure you are still in your budget. If you want a company that cares about what they do and the environment these are your people.

Six years ago we bought an older home that needed new landscaping. After interviewing several contractors, we asked Equinox to do the work. During construction they suggested ways we could reduce water use, improve the soil and provide habitat for local fauna. We subsequently asked them to maintain the yard and the results have been spectacular. The crew is always friendly and open to questions. The crew leader is very knowledgeable about maintaining the natural native garden look I requested. There have been challenges, but the crew leader doesn't give up until I'm happy. They continue to help us improve the spaces, and the plants and animals have thrived. Our water usage and maintenance requirements are minimal, and our living space is all we hoped for. We couldn't be happier!

Patrick Picard and his company are the best. We originally hired them to bring our small, brand-new-home-dirt backyard to life and they built a lush garden and patio system that had three distinct rooms, a water feature, a spiral brick patio, 19 trees, a hot tub, and well, it was perfect. If a plant died, they came and replaced it. The work was performed on schedule, and with great precision and imagination. So when we moved and had to ready our new large place for our daughter's wedding, we hired Equinox again. Same pleasure working with them. Same astounding results. Thanks Patrick and company. We're about to move again. You'll see us again.

Equinox is a solid company. They are dependable, follow direction, give clear feedback and offer a broad range of services from general landscape maintenance to full blown design and installation. We have been a customer for about 2 years and, while they are on the expensive side for general maintenance, they are competitive on the design and installation side and don't nickel and dime on every little detail change during a project.

I hired Equinox to replace my grass front yard with drought tolerant landscaping that features lots of edible plants. I love the design and they were very responsive and easy to work with. Patrick provided excellent recommendations that accommodated my budget and style preferences. Very happy with the service Equinox provided.

The work done by Patrick and his team at Equinox Landscape brightens every single day of my life. I love the design, almost entirely suggested by Patrick. I love the quality of the materials and the wokrmanship. We had to modify the project a couple of times while in progress: costs went up too fast once we realized how hard it was to do any digging into the hillside. I also realized I wanted more of a finished look in one area than I had previously indicated. A drought set in and I became concerned about water rationing making it impossible to keep all the projected trees alive. A bobcat attacked my chickens and I changed the design for the coop. So it was an adventure, and in the end there were many changes. The end result though, makes me smile every day. Please work closely with the team to make sure the cost does not go over budget, but keep in mind that this is not just about how everything looks, but also how meaningful it is to you in the end.
