Chauncey absolutely hit it out of the park with our backyard remodel. My wife and I sat down with him and told him what we were thinking, he then presented us with this beautifully detailed watercolor plan and we went for it. We couldn't be any happier with the outcome! Chauncey has an amazing eye for colors and textures that really sets his work apart. We'll definitely work with Chauncey again on future projects.

We became interested in Chauncy's work when we saw an example of it at a "tour of gardens" location, and were impressed. We were lucky to contact him when he had a spot in his schedule to take on our project. Ours involved a clay laden southern slope on which we had had a hard time getting any thing to grow. He provided us with a detailed plan including a pretty water color rendering. He went to work in July and finished on schedule and on budget. The diversity of plantings with colors that flowed together very artistically looked great immediately and still looks good in the dead of winter. We can't wait to see it all in bloom in spring! Chauncey has an impressive knowledge of local plants, is easy to work with and met our budget and deadline. Fifth Season has taken us to Seventh Heaven! Within five days our overgrown, mundane landscaping was effortlessly removed and replaced with a flowing pallet of color and texture, like an artistic rendering on canvas. We are so pleased with the results-the choice of plants, scale and color to complement the existing stonework on our home. The cost for such a transformation was well below what we had expected to pay. Chauncey was professional, listened to what we wanted, and exceeded our expectations. We had previously hired Fifth Season to re-do another house in Eugene and were so happy with the results. Once the house plans were completed on our new house, Chauncey put together a plan that matched our wishes for easy maintenance and still reflected our wishes for lots of color and an Asian inspired ambiance. He not only designed the plan but did a lot of preliminary excavation, soil preparation and moved in about 100 large rocks to line a path that meanders down a hill. One of Chauncey's strengths is his ability to listen and then create a plan that marries his clients' wishes with his own expertise and knowledge. He is always on time, always prepared and he gets our highest recommendation.
