When a foundation repair company left huge piles of dirt on both sides of our house, I called Michelle at Flourish. They had previously designed and installed a beautiful garden plan for our home several years ago. Michelle came by and did her magic again; a few weeks later the team made the yard beautiful again. Michelle takes a thoughtful and holistic approach to her work. She considered the design aesthetics of the house both external and internal, my personal style, as well as addressing the functional challenges of my backyard to create a low maintenance sanctuary. I was also impressed by the small details Michelle incorporated such illuminating the trees to leverage them as “art.” The strategic placement of lighting transformed the area into a premium experience – all while staying under budget. When I first met Michelle, it was instantly obvious that she was motivated by her passion for design and plants vs. trying to upsell me something I didn’t need nor want. Finally, Michelle’s holistic approach also includes after the transformation was complete; Michelle provided advice and links on how to decorate the space and where to find the items. Overall, it was such a pleasure working with Michelle. I strongly recommend her services and I hope to use her again for another project.

Michelle did an outstanding job listening to our ideas, then designing and building gardens on all sides of our home. She solved a difficult problem we had with an area around the patio that left standing water after large rainfalls; now a "river" of pebbles drains away the excess water from the house. Her team works hard and the finished project is beautiful. It's a pleasure to be outside, even in the heat of summer.

My wife and I began our journey to remodel our patio back in August of 2020 and sent a few feelers out to area designers. Michelle was the first one to return my phone call and after speaking with her we stopped looking for other designers. Her demeaner is calm and caring and she listens above anythign else. Our asks were slightly outside the norm and she took our "english garden" idea and ran with it. We had delays with another contractor that prohibited Michelle and her team from starting on time, she was flexible with those delays and was ready once we were. She continuously was at our site before, during and even after installation. She has checked in with us after installation on several occassions to check on our progress and plans to visit again once things have blossomed. We have enjoyed working with Michelle and her whole team. She is warm and friendly and brings creative ideas to the process. Michelle worked with us to expand our vision for the landscaping project. She provided us with a portfolio of different pictures to help us first identify a “style” and then to select the specific plants we wanted to include in our design. Michelle is also very authentic in her commitment to make sure we are going to be happy with the finished outcome. While she makes suggestions, she is never pushy and was flexible enough to change her design "on the fly" to accommodate an additional tree we decided to add to our landscape design after the initial planting. Michelle is responsive when those seemingly always-present, but unexpected questions come up with any large project. She answered questions for us on the phone during the daily ongoing work and has stopped out to our home to check the progress or to answer questions. Michelle put us in contact with other resources to complete our project, namely, for our front entrance planters and for our backyard deck replacement. So far, we have been pleased with the service these others have provided and we appreciate Michelle's network and connections.

Flourish takes customer service to a whole new level. Michelle, the owner listened to our needs and came up with a design plan that exceeded our expectations. She advised us that about color contrasts, deer resistant plants that were both beautiful and low maintenance. I was impressed by her quality of work and her attention to detail. My neighbors and wow’ed with how my landscape looks now. I would definitely recommend Flourish to family and friends and would definitely hire them again. They are terrific. My Husband and I throughly enjoyed working with Michelle Anderson. She listened to what we envisioned for our yard and provided an absolutely beautiful detailed plan that is going to help us make our vision a reality. My Wife & I contacted Michelle at Flourish in October of this year to begin a complete makeover of our front yard landscaping and design. Eva Villalobos has a wonderful botanical background which gave us a great palette to work from. It is hard for me to believe that I only met Michelle Anderson 6 months ago. She is one of those people that you want to meet early in your professional life and then build into her. Flourish looked at our space, sent photos of options and helped us choose the perfect tree. They sent the landscaper to plant and the service beginning to end was perfect. We would use them again.

We retained Fourish, and specifically Michelle Anderson, to plan a complete renovation of out front and backyard landscaping including the removal and rebuild of stone walls, the patio and a fountain. Michelle was simply outstanding. Her plan was creative, captured our thoughts as to how we wanted the yards to "feel", developed an all season color palate, and included specially designed water and fire features. Michelle kept in contact with the landscaper, was present for all major installations, tweaked the plans as appropriate, and most importantly genuinely cared for our project and our family. I can't recommend her highly enough.

We have had the opportunity to work with Michelle and the ladies of Flourish on numerous occasions, and I am always impressed with the professionalism and creative design insight they bring to the table. I called Flourish Landscape upon recommendation from a work colleague, and my husband and I were immediately thrilled to be working with Michelle. We had been frustrated with the lack of response from a few other designers when trying to rebuild the walkway, porch, and plantings in our front yard. As two working parents, we had little time for meetings, multiple discussions, and long processes. Michelle was professional, responsive, and simply "got it". She listened to our desires and and quickly turned around a design that met our budget. She emailed her design diagram and plant recommendations, complete with full color photos of what the plants would look like throughout the seasons as they grow. This allowed us to review the design and plantings on our own time, ask questions via email, and finalize the plan quickly. Once finalized, she took charge getting the job done, deploying her team to begin the tear-out, hardscape, irrigation, and plantings. She met them at our house and guided the process, checking in with us via email along the way to ensure satisfaction and provide job and timing updates. We love the finished product and can't wait to watch our plants fill in.

Michelle Andersen worked to re-landscape my side and back yards into a low maintenance, coherent whole. She's very creative and visionary, able to take my concerns and objectives and turn them into a plan which was successfully implemented in August and September. She was always responsive, friendly and good to work with. I made a few request during the implementation and she successfully accommodated them. I would hire her again.

We had a backyard patio project and landscaping completed by Flourish Landscaping and Interior design. We were very happy with the beautiful design that reflected the needs we had for the space. Michelle did an excellent job of taking into account what we planned to use the space for, using some of our ideas and expanding those ideas into a very functional and truly beautiful space. The installation took longer than expected with just a few minor bumps along the road but I am very pleased with the outcome and look forward to using the space for years to come.

We absolutely LOVE our backyard! Michelle laid out a plan that I had only dreamed of and brought it to life! We now have a gazebo to house our hot tub, a pergola with wisteria to relax under, a fire pit to hang out around , steps to walk down (instead of slide down) the hill leading into our yard, plants and tress that will provide shade and color throughout the seasons and top it off with a beautiful waterfall/pond to wash away your worries! Simply paradise in my once barren backyard! Everyone involved were very professional, knowledgeable, and fun to have around, all were as excited about the progect as we were. We found Michelle at Flourish through one of her interns, completely by chance. We were looking specifically for a landscape designer who would be comfortable providing a landscape design as well as plant recommendations, while we would do the actual landscape labor ourselves. Michelle was an excellent choice. We wanted an attractive, low-maintenance, and deer-resistant landscape, and Michelle delivered a fantastic design that we have partially implemented. She has continued to stay in touch and advise on plant spacing, and alternate planting options. We couldn't be more pleased with the service and follow up that Michelle provided. And our neighbors are thrilled that our previous 40 year old landscaping has been updated with something so appealing!

Michelle Andersen, through her company, Flourish, oversaw every aspect of renovating our gardens, and working on the exterior of our house. She acted as the contractor and found us a painter for the house's trim (the house is three stories and a hundred years old - it was a large job), and a pointer to repair the brickwork. She planned our new gardens and completely re-did the front and back yard. She worked with us and had discussions with us at our house, to see what the property was like and find out our garden preferences. She then presented us with a detailed list of projects and plantings that we could do, along with a carefully drawn schematic of the proposed garden areas. She then oversaw the tearing out of the old, overgrown plants, and the installation of the new ones, along with a new irrigation system. In addition, she had our cracked and broken walkway replaced, and new tiles and wrought iron handrails added to a cracked entry terrace. The yards and gardens were transformed. Our house has fresh, new appearance. Her plant choices were intelligent and innovative: favoring native and shade-loving plants, as appropriate for our property, giving our home a very sophisticated appearance.

Michelle designed and completed several projects for us. The designs were very creative and kept true to our sustainable requirements.

We have a highly visible, steep hillside on the front of our property. Over the last few years we have had a minimum of four landscape companies either do a bit of work or give us estimates well above our budget. That was before we found Flourish Landscape & Interior Design. Michelle has been a refreshing change to the typical landscaper. She was most concerned with our needs and work well with our budget constraints. As we worked through various designs and concerns, she was genuine in her thoughtfulness and had a vast array of ideas to choose from. We especially liked the usage of native plants and nothing outlandish in keeping with the overall neighborhood appeal. As the project progressed, we were inspired to add more area to the original plan, as well as other features to help us maintain the plantings with minimal fuss. The team she pulled together for the actual installation was very easy to work with, even though we kept throwing twists and turns at them. They were all very professional. As we look around the yard this coming year, we imagine where else can she perform her magic. We highly recommend her company.

I hired the Flourish team to explore the landscape possibilities for an empty lot adjacent to my property and they did a great job. They were clear about the work they planned to complete and detail-oriented. They worked closely with my wife and I to understand our needs, lifestyle and expectations. Michelle did a holiday decor presentation and workshop in my home. She brought beautiful natural greens and other items to help each of us create a beautiful wreath. She provided us with wonderful information as well as individual help. I highly recommend Michelle as a speaker and designer.
