Luis and his team did a great job with the design and execution, making sure to get my input and providing suggestions so that things would look cohesive and put together. They were efficient and completed the project in a very timely manner, which was great. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience with Form and Function and would recommend! I’m very happy with the end result and spend much more time looking at and enjoying my backyard now

I was extremely pleased with Luis Macias and his team. They were very experienced craftsmen. I had new stones set in, new steps, new lighting, and new handrails. I am extremely pleased with how everything turned out. The team showed up on time do to a full days work, every day. When I had any questions or concerns, Luis and Jose (foreman) address them immediately. I would definitely recommend.

We purchased a new build and needed help with our backyard landscaping. After over a dozen of bids, we decided to go with Form and Function Landscapes. Even at our first meeting, we felt very comfortable with Luis. He was honest from the get go. We gave Luis a list of things we were hoping for in our new backyard. He made them all happen! We were also grateful for his suggestions and opinions. The whole process from beginning to end was easy. Luis responded to us in a timely manner, often answering our numerous questions. In addition, Luis' and his team were respectful of our property. They always cleaned up after leaving our home. We are so happy with our new backyard and we can't wait to use it!

Form and Function Landscapes recently completed an entire backyard remodel for us. From start to finish, the entire team was amazing. I hired Luis and his crew to finish my bare yard with freshly completed in ground pool. He is one of the most professional business owners I have met, landscaping or otherwise. They take pride in their work and doing things the right way. There is a genius carpenter in the crew as well who was able to come up with some very creative and aesthetically pleasing solutions. Hire them and you will not regret it.

Form & Function did a complete overhaul of my back, front and side yard, and I couldn't be happier. The project was really extensive; I did everything from landscaping to hardscaping and a new fence. I've also never done a renovation before and have only heard horror stories about contractors, so I was hesitant to jump in. All of that said, I was pleasantly surprised at every turn working with Form & Function. Luis was incredibly mindful of balancing my budget with what I wanted, and gave smart recommendations along the way. His team was also fantastic. We ran up against tough weather, but they still managed to keep the timeline on track and they were a delight to have around. The yard looks absolutely wonderful and I've gotten so many compliments on it. It was a such a great experience, from the planning to execution, and even now the team is following up asking about the plants and if I have any questions. I will always go to Form & Function for any outdoor work I need done and will recommend them heartily to everyone and anyone.

Luis and his team, did a great job in removing a beat up retaining wall and fencing that was old and falling down, it was definitely an eye sore. Luis and his team built a retaining wall per sketches I had and installed new fencing all around. We are very happy with the work they did. Thank you Form and Function.

Form and Function Landscapes exceeded my expectations on my yard ( softscape)redesign. Luis is knowledgeable, professional, responsive and very easy to work with during a project. He is a good communicator and explained the entire job prior to starting on site. His work crew was excellent and they were equally professional and knowledgeable. They ensured my home was safe by keeping all work areas as organized while they worked. I have not experienced any quality issues since the job was completed. I highly recommend Form and Function if you are considering enhancing or improving your outdoor space. You will not be disappointed!

Luis and his team are top notch professionals who focus on quality. I have had the good fortune to work with him on several projects to improve my home and backyard in San Francisco. The first was a fairly complicated deck rebuild followed by my request to build a series of planters from an architect's drawings. They did such a great job on those I asked them to replace all my exterior siding and even add a window which looks marvelous. I can't recommend Form and Function Landscapes enough. My experience with Luis is he has always been fair and honest. I know I can trust him and his team of landscapers, carpenters, plumbers and electricians to do a good job.
