Gelderman Landscape Services

We are so dissappointed in all aspects of our project except for the hardscaping, which was mostly subcontracted out to another company. Unfortunately, the Senior person involved with Sales at this company is also the same individual in charge of Design and Implementation...and Contracts etc. Sadly, our design wishes never got implemented properly, and that was even with 3 so-called designers minimally involved at one time or another. Two years later, I still feel sick to my stomach about how much we spent on a garden that never came close to our wishes. A few examples of problems we have are: -Many of my old perenniels are coming in through and between the new plantings . I spent 25 hrs pulling and digging up last year and see more again this year that were missed or returned. We payed a hefty price for 3-4 ft. of new soil replacement in the beds apparently - so this should never happen. -After one year their perenniels were already being crowded by others. Theoretically, your garden should be at it's peak at year 7 or so I thought. -Our desire of having privacy screening/plantings were never incorporated. This is probably due to the fact that the project took 5-6 months to complete instead of 2 and everything got rushed at the end because winter was coming. The privacy was the main reason for initially having the landscape done. -Many of our plants were not planted deep enough and have either died or are not doing well ((some I have been able to fix). When I showed this to the individual in question, he said to just keep on covering up the top with more plant material etc.? -Minor pricing disputes regarding some verbal discussions caused them (him) to not complete our project and walk away with empty spots and immature plantings that died the first year not being replaced. PLEASE make sure you get everything in writing....every last detail. In the end we spent much more than was estimated and proposed, and ended up with much less than expected on the Softscaping side of things. The trees and shrubs I had always wanted I never got and I am saddened every time I walk out to the back because that was something we had looked forward to for years.

We recently moved into our community this past summer and Gelderland Landscape services do all of the lawns and gardens each week. Many of our friends and visitors have commented on how beautiful the landscaping is and all the grounds are very well maintained. Every time I pass any of the workers, they are super polite and courteous. I would like to send a special shout out to Nelson, Joshua and Michael, for going above and beyond in helping me out with a special request last week. They were very polite and more than willing to help out. Thank you all very much.

The Gelderman crew, under Chris Mace's supervision, arrived here on the agreed upon date and finished the job on schedule and within the agreed upon budget. When I was unsure of certain elements the men took the time to explain and educate me about what issues needed to be considered in making decisions. Gelderman did a great job with my backyard/side yard renovation. A complete transformation and we love the work. We also put in new underground sprinklers and they were able to install everything. We are now going to do the front yard and have already contacted Gelderman with the project to start in the spring.

I have used Gelderman Landscape Services for two large landscaping projects in the past three years. These projects included landscaping and planting, the installation of large areas of interlocking stone, construction of fencing and a gazebo, and the installation of inground sprinklers. All parts of both projects were completed on time and on budget, and all phases of each project, from planning and design to construction, were handled and managed extremely professionally. Gelderman's design service and job planning were comprehensive, and included scale drawings, and detailed budgets. Their work crews were courteous, experienced, and very professional, and they ensured that the work site was cleaned up at the end of each day. The Company also followed up after completion of the projects to ensure everything was completed as agreed, and that there were no outstanding issues. I would highly recommend Gelderman Landscape services to anyone that is undertaking a landscaping project. Their professionalism, and their dedication to quality is second to none.

I used Gelderman Landscape services for the first time to build out my outdoor space, complete new design with travetine, lounge space and plants. I was very pleased with the quality of workmanship and service. Very professional, on schedule and on budget. Very good customer service, I had an issue with some moving stones on the side and Chris came the next day and fixed it right away. I will definitely be using Gelderman Landscape service for future projects.

I’m thrilled with the design and implementation of my landscaping project and I would hire Chris Mace and his team in future. They were punctual, friendly and cleaned up each day before leaving the job site. One of the plants died within 2 months of installation ( it happens) and I came home to find it had been replaced.
