We are very happy with Great Oaks. Our first meeting was with Geoff Fornari, Director of Design/Sales. He took our requests, ideas, and questions back to his design team and they came up with a beautiful and creative landscape plan that we modified slightly and agreed to. All meetings were clear and easy. The Great Oaks team is excellent to work with. The project was a breeze and fun for us. Everyday, all day the workmen were there and they were all very respectful and hardworking. It was wonderful to see the transition of our property. We look forward to doing more projects with them.

Geoff and team are extremely knowledgeable and professional - and the best in the business with their landscsaping and hardscaping! Our backyard is an oasis and absolutely stunning thanks to the professionals at Great Oaks, and the plantings they selected to frame our pool area; along with the hardscaping and stone and pavers that encompass our entire back yard. We worked with Jason Ambruster to obtain a beautiful back yard with major landscaping, full deck, patio, firepit, and Pergola structure in our back yard. Jason was our first contact at Great oaks and he was involved during the design phase, the installation phase and even in the follow up final stage to ensure the project met our expectations. Jason worked with us on our front yard project. I had some very specific requests (include a fountain, a hidden vegetable garden, a cottage-style area of flowers, a place for visitors to park) and he gracefully and encouragingly incorporated my goals into an overall cohesive design. He was knowledgeable about plants that would do well in our location and that deer would avoid. The team that did the work did an outstanding job -- yard projects are messy and they swept and cleaned up everyday. I had neighbors coming by to tell us how impressed they were. We also had some minors repairs/touch-ups after project completion, and the team came by and did this work well. Highly, highly recommend!

I was very pleased with the work done by Great Oaks. Jason is great to work with and we're happy with the transformation of this newly usable outdoor area of our home. Work included many, many new retaining walls, multiple patios, walkways, plantings and irrigation.

We selected the Great Oaks Landscape team after viewing their professional work in several places in our town . Our new patio is magnificent and we use it daily to entertain our family and friends. Great Oaks had wonderful vision that is almost complete but we have been so impressed with every phase of the project. We hired two companies that we thought were the best and paid for the designs but ultimately chose great Oaks.

Geoff from Great Oaks provided excellent service to design an extensive backyard renovation. We looked at two other firms but felt very comfortable with the prompt service and excellent design work that Geoff provided. From a cost perspective, Great Oaks was comparable to the other quotes but provided a detailed cost estimate and design for no charge. The landscape work was completed in a timely manner and Geoff was available to review the project status and make any adjustments that we wanted. Great Oaks provided a one year warranty on the plants and stood by the warranty with no questions to replace damaged plants the next year. We were so pleased with the work we hired Great Oaks to landscape our front yard and were equally pleased with the results.

We built a home in South Lyon and spent a number of months researching landscaping companies to find the right combination of quality and cost. I narrowed my list down to 5 companies and met with them to have a design done. From the very first meeting to the end of the project Geoff and Great Oaks met my high standards. Geoff and I seemed to understand each other from the start and were always on the same page. He kept me posted during every stage and was constantly overlooking the project to make sure it was done to a high standard. There were a few bumps along the way, many of which weren't Great Oaks fault, but Geoff was always there to help provide a solution. Two years later if something goes wrong Geoff will stop by to take care of it, many times at no cost. I can honestly say that they genuinely want to deliver a project that you are more than satisfied with and they don't nickel and dime you along the way. Geoff has stopped by my house now a few times since the project was complete to help me with maintaining the landscaping and giving me helpful ideas. Every time I text or email Geoff I get a response in a timely manner and I truly appreciate that. I would highly recommend Geoff and Great Oaks based on my experience and feel confident that I made the right choice.

We interviewed 3 landscape companies for design and landscape installation at our new home. We choose Great Oaks because Geoff really listened to our wants and meet them all. We continue to get comments from neighbors that we have the nicest landscaping in the neighborhood. They are very professional and do a great job.

Great Oaks Landscape Associates designed and installed all of the landscaping around our home over the past few years including a pool and spa, pool decking, water feature, fire table, sitting wall, retaining walls, ornamental hedging, decorative walkways, and numerous landscaping beds. In addition, they lit the space beautifully so it can also be enjoyed after the sun goes down. It is an attractive plan all around with consideration for our entertaining needs and ease of maintenance. We appreciate the attention given to the variety of plantings and the balance of color from season to season. Their construction crews were hard working, courteous, and respectful as were the project management staff. We love how Great Oaks transformed our yard into a retreat and can’t wait to spend the coming seasons enjoying this beautiful space with family and friends. The worst landscaping company I have ever dealt with. They did our entire front yard and introduced foxtail weed . Within 2 years, we had to re do the entire project. I contacted them when I first noticed it but got no response . Would not recommend.

We have hired Great Oaks Landscape for multiple commercial and residential projects, both large and small scale, over the past couple years and have always been pleased with the results. We will continue doing business with this competitive, professional and prompt organization.

After reviewing estimates from 5 companies we decided to choose Great Oaks. They were not the cheapest nor the most expensive but the entire process was handled so professionally. We were very impressed with their nursery and the selection of plants and trees but more importantly were guided through our wants and needs for each section of our yard. They covered blooming cycle, ease of maintenance and placement. We ran through multiple designs and layouts and were actually able to pick the exact plant and tree that was going to go where in the design. It was something we had never done before and Great Oaks made the process easy, hassle-free and educational. They really know what they are doing. For our project we had a large retaining wall installed made out of boulders, multiple trees and flower beds, sod and a fully automated irrigation system. It's been a year and a half and the support we received in the time after installation was fantastic. By no means of our own Great Oaks came out to see how everything was holding up the following summer. They had found that a couple of plants were not doing as well as they should and they adjusted the irrigation and replaced what was needed to keep our yard looking beautiful - at no cost! The quality of service, plant-life and experience at Great Oaks is superior and I would recommend them to anyone looking to get their landscaping job done right, on-time and within budget.

I hired them to design my backyard. They added a patio with a kitchen and in ground fire pit. They used bluestone stepping stones to create a walkway from my house to the patio which really brought the house together. Great Job!!!

Great Oaks Landscape designed and installed my landscaping for two of my properties and did an amazing job. The start to finish process took a lot less time then I expected. They also finished both of jobs under budget and really made them standout. At my primary residence they created a man-made pond and added a beautiful fountain. My wife and I are were blown away with our landscape.

They gave me multiple conceptual designs and I was very picky about each minor detail and they would always say "This is your home, we'll keep revising it until it feels like your home" Great customer service. I hired Great Oaks to design and install my landscape as soon as they renovated my neighbors property and it sold for 10% more then its asking price. They are so helpful and respectful. They took the time to educate me about what they were planning, installing, the process, and just about landscape architecture in general. I learned so much from them and they created a breathtaking outdoor living space which I use everyday. It made my house something I was proud to show off. I now have friends and family over because they turned my backyard into a entertaining living area which is simply beautiful and I can fit 3 times as many people as I used to be able too. I Never could have imagined a big landscaping company woud care so much about 1 individual homeowner but they really do. They still contact me to make sure it's still as perfect as the day it was installed.
