True to her dedication to creating beautiful natural garden sanctuaries, Jessica and her crew gave me so many enjoyable vistas from raised vegetable and fruit tree garden, to rose gardens, to beautiful ornamental and native grasses. All have amazing seasonal color changes. Everything was handled very professionally. Jessica's knowledge of plant selection goes beyond the usual. She works with the topography, the house architecural style and maybe most importantly the character and desires of her client. Masterful!

The Green Goddess Garden Team has been taking excellent care of all our garden needs for the last 15 years. The work has included everything from generating the plans to implementation and all necessary maintenance work. The Green Goddess Garden Team did this for our previous home and now for our current home. Everyone on the Team is friendly, professional and a pleasure to work with. Jessica Thompson has an amazing knowledge of plants and microclimates and an ability to see how it all comes together. Jessica at Green Goddess designed and installed a completely new backyard landscape. Where there was once a green lawn and spherically trimmed bushes there is an exuberant array of plantings that thrive in our climate. Three separate ‘rooms’ were created - one for dining, one for viewing a mountain vista and one for viewing a lush garden from the french doors at the back of the house. Her team expertly cares for everything year round. We couldn’t be happier.

Green Goddess Gardens designed and installed an entirely new landscape in our backyard four years ago. It was mostly a lawn with some bushes. We now have three separate yet cohesive spaces: a lush space anchored by fruits trees with a swale to capture rain, a lovely grilling and eating area plus a peaceful retreat with a view of the mountains. Great care was taken to make sure all the plantings were plants that will thrive in our our dry climate. Green Goddess has been caring for our landscape since the installation. They are expert at the bi-weekly and annual tasks that need to be done. They are also responsive to our requests.

Green Goddess has been the designer and provided the maintenance crew of my 2 acre property for the 4 years I have owned land lived on the estate. Maintenance for the property includes everything from lighting and irrigation to planting and pruning of plants and trees. They do very thoughtful, expert work that I place full confidence in. Additionally, they do stone work and stone wall building that is second to none.

My wife and I recently moved to Ojai from midtown NYC. Needless to say we knew little (well maybe nothing) about landscaping or taking care of a garden. Upon a recommendation we decided to ask Jessica and the Green Goddess Gardens Team to help us completely landscape our front yard and organize, enhance and simplify our back yard. The team also put compost and mulch down throughout and planted a new tree to go with the new landscaping in our front yard. Jessica is a pleasure to work with. The Green Goddess team were a pleasure to work with as well. Jessica is knowledgeable, communicates well, is a good listener and took the time to educate my wife and I about what the team was doing and how we could continue to take care of the gardens. Now, several weeks after the initial planting, and with all the plants growing nicely, we are thrilled with the work. One other point is that the team leaves for the day with everything absolutely cleaned up . . . The mark of good workers. Jessica stopped by a couple of days after the work had been completed to make sure that all was doing well . . . Which it was. After seeing her work and the outcome of her work, we are extremely happy and can recommend her and the team without hesitation. Not only have our gardens grown but, thanks to Jessica sharing knowledge, we have as well.

Jessica brings a unique perspective to the work she does. It includes a profound and detailed knowledge of the living materials that are part of her designs. Environmental, regional climate and maintenance issues all get due consideration in her designs. She has a focus that is clear and imaginative whether the spaces she is asked to work in are vast or small. She demonstrates the patience and recognition of not leaving the small and unseen for granted. Jessica and her team have been a joy to work with and one who is willing to put the client’s needs first while stretching the client’s vision and knowledge by her enthusiastic and incredible vision.

Green Goddess crew are terrific workers. They are quiet, no radios, no blowers, and they initiate work like looking for palm tree babies and mole and gopher tunnels. Often they come back days later and trap the sites. They keep up on yard work like I would myself. The best part of having them come to the property is that they come and as a team work the yard. Cleaning up, cutting, fertilizing, and they take my suggestions on top of their usual plan. One day the crew head noticed a branch in the pepper tree that was snapped in a storm but had not fallen. It was a danger to us. They did what they could with the branch at the time, alerting us, and then the next time they came with heavy equipment to disposed of it. I was grateful for the warning and for the labor. Jessica Johnston leads the business with expertise and creative skill. I am grateful for her and her crew for the care and the skill to keep our yard healthy at this time of dire drought.

I have been very happy with this company over all. They are honest , affordable, knowledgeable. We are in the middle of a drought here in California and have been impressed with there ability to work within this environment , be conscious of our water conservation but still maintain my lawn.

Green Goddess Gardens has worked for us for several years now. The owner, Jessica Thompson, helped us bring a 100 year old property back to its glory days and designed new gardens, walls, walkways, gates and such. Her team now maintains the property and does a top notch job always attending to the little details. We were having trouble finding enough time to keep up with the yard work. Not looking for a "mow and blow" company, we were looking for more. Green Goddess not only fills this need but we also hired them to help with the redesign of our yard. I love to garden and Jessica was very easy to work with to incorporate specific ideas I had.
