Nick and his team did an excellent job of transforming our unfinished backyard into a space that is calming, comfortable, and low maintenance. Nick was able to match and extend our existing patio to better utilize our space. His team installed artificial turf that is high quality and safe for my toddler to play on. They planted a beautiful array of flowers, grasses, and bushes with my existing plants mixed in. They installed an irrigation system and topped the flower beds with mixed river rock that is not only visually pleasing but also functions to keep the soil in place. Nick’s finishing touch was the placement of a gorgeous Japanese Maple that brings the entire space together. I highly recommend Green City Design to anyone interested in revamping an outdoor space.

My wife and I bought our dream home in Jersey City and to finish it off, we wanted to have the front and backyard, patio, and roof deck have beautiful landscaping. We had GreenCity and another landscaper with a big reputation walk through the home with us. Nick came to the home and made sure to note every detail of what we were looking for while the other landscaper had us hold up an iPad and walk through the areas virtually. We ended up choosing GreenCity and the attention to detail was perfect and the crew was caring throughout the project, whether it was taking off their shoes when walking through the home (without us asking) to making sure every square inch of the project was to our liking. The final result is out of this world and when they finished on schedule, we were sad to see them go only because we enjoyed having them on site so much. I’d hire GreenCity again with no hesitation in the future for any landscaping project need I had in the future and there are no negatives I can think of from the start of the project to the end. Nick and his team did an amazing job on our rooftop! Nick came to assess our space and gave us a ton of recommendations and was very flexible. After reviewing and revising our plans, the team did a great job in execution - always very professional, polite, and clean! We couldn’t be happier with our new rooftop getaway!

Nick & his team designed our backyard for us in Downtown Jersey City from something which was non functional to a beautiful, child and pet friendly place. He was very proactive right from the first correspondence and paid attention to all details. His team was very courteous of our space and always treated it with respect and care. The entire work was carried out by them walking through the house but they left no damage. He always kept our budget constraints in mind while designing the space and was never pushy. The project consisted of hauling tons of dirt, mud and paver materials outside and bringing in new pavers, turf, laying out plants and planters. They installed a beautiful fountain for the space too. We loved working with Green City Design on our Hoboken roof-deck. Nick and his team were engaged and responsive throughout the process, including a detailed design phase, careful installation and great customer service along the way. We worked with Nick for our garden project in UWS in NYC. Nick was very easy to work with. The best landscaping design & build firm/contractor in NYC / Hudson County for urban. Would highly recommend as someone who has OCD over the tiniest of details not being paid attention to, Green City delivered. Top-tier attention to detail, on-site all the time, knows where to buy affordable furnishing that has great quality, and understands the importance of lighting and mood.

We worked with Nick in summer 2020, he designed and helped us to select landscaping for our front and backyard. It looks AMAZING. I liked it right away but really came to appreciate all the thoughtful selections this summer (2021). Throughout the summer we always had something new blooming and changing. From textured grasses to native perennials around our patio and pergola, there is so much to take in. We had butterflies visiting all summer and even saw a rare hummingbird moth. I knew nothing about plants so I would have never been able to pick what he did. He totally understood the vibe I was going for too. Can't recommend enough!

Nick and his team did an incredible job completely transforming our terrace. We had an empty drab terrace that is now lush, beautiful and a really pretty place to spend time. Nick was extremely helpful and professional. The space was well designed, his work was detailed and exceptional.

GREENCITY built a deck platform that allowed me to store my outdoor cushions and other items so they wouldn't get wet. They also planted my entire roof deck. I am so happy with the final product! Will post more pictures when the weather clears up - but everything came out great. We ran into some challenges: 1. making the deck waterproof, and 2. accounting for the wind. Nick was able to figure out how to handle both - cushions and electronics are dry and all the containers are still standing (even after the most recent hurricane). I can be a tough customer - Nick was thoughtful and communicated with me throughout the process and made sure everything was done right. High quality.
