GreenScapes Landscape Architects and Contractors

GreenScapes completed a very successful backyard renovation for us in October 2015. Our project involved tearing out an old deck and patio area, and replacing with a new deck, patio, pergola, firepit, new trees, and new planting beds. GreenScapes began the project as a subcontractor, and after the project was abruptly cancelled by the original general contractor just 2 weeks in, GreenScapes assumed the contract, which they were under no obligation to do. We could not have been more thankful that GreenScapes agreed to do this. It was a difficult situation that involved a lot of complexity and give-take in reconciling the work still to be completed against our original contract while finding a new subcontractor to complete the carpentry work. GreenScapes under the leadership of lead architect Kyle Adams was able to keep the financial side of the project within our original parameters while completing the work as specified with a new sub as part of the arrangement. Kyle was outstanding to work with and remains our partner in ongoing considerations and possibilities for our landscape design. From the beginning he showed a huge commitment to the quality and outcomes of the work, as if it had been his project from day 1. As usual with these projects, there were a lot of details and curveballs, and a few change orders to be addressed as the work progressed. And Kyle was always there and in close contact with us about the progress of the work. Kyle even attended to some of the detail work himself. The crew from GreenScapes especially the crew leads Humberto and Lee were very friendly and we enjoyed having them around. Even several months after the project was completed, we are in close contact with Kyle about the project to ensure that everything is as it should be after settling and winter. We would hire GreenScapes again in a heartbeat and remain grateful that they rescued our project and drove it to a great outcome.

We were completing a kitchen renovation with Dave Fox and decided to redo our outdoor patio area. We were introduced to Marc Aubry and GreenScapes through Dave Fox. Marc was wonderful to work with and he helped us through all phases of the design and build processes. Our project manager. Curtis, was terrific as well. We wanted a large waterfall, lots of stone, natural plantings, and a paver patio with cobbled walkway to our deck. Marc and Curtis fulfilled all of our 'wants' and we now have a spectacular outdoor space! We had total confidence in GreenScapes and everyone working on our project. Marc and Curtis were super to work with- would highly recommend them!

We have used GreenScapes for a major patio and fire pit construction and for redesigning landscape beds. They are very professional and do a wonderful job. It is so nice to have a good estimate at the beginning of a project and to know that your finished bill we be just what you are expecting!

I had the opportunity to work with the team from GreenScapes on my front patio which is very old and was in need for expert attention. The expert professional team that reconstructed the front patio did so with expertise and skill. They brought the stone work back to its beauty and made the entrance to our home the elegant patio it had once been. Every day they cleaned up everything and had me check their work almost daily. I would ONLY use GreenScapes in the future.

My husband and I have lived in Muirfield for about 20 years. People in our neighborhood take landscaping seriously and we been thrilled with the results we have gotten with Bill Gerhardt and Greenscapes! From our original, modest landscape plan to the overhaul we perfected to host our son's outdoor graduation party, Greenscapes has been thoughtful, creative, helpful and resourceful! Every spring, we call in a panic (often at the last minute!) for our pre-Memorial Tournament clean-up and they have always been timely and delivered a beautiful result. This year, we had a special request for unique stone replacement on our front steps. Marc Aubry with Greenscapes searched all over the nation for the stone we needed. Not only did he find the stone but he had it delivered and installed before our important deadline. It is also noteworthy that this summer a friend asked if she could throw a "garden party" baby shower for one of her friends in our backyard! Greenscapes uses only the best and healthiest plant materials. Their staff is knowledgeable, hardworking and efficient. We give Greenscapes the highest possible recommendation!

We have had the pleasure of working with Bill and his team on a number of occasions. One project of note that comes immediately to mind is the outdoor cooking space he created at the Franklin Park Conservatory. Its a beautiful project. We appreciated the opportunity to contribute to its success.
