Harmony Design Northwest is the company that provided the design for my landscaping project. Everything went smoothly and in a timely manner. Lisa and Mel came up with a Very thoughtful and creative solution to a challenging privacy issue. A new subdivision is going in behind my home which used to be a beautiful grassy open area. I was going to lose all privacy for my backyard and a large covered entertainment area with fireplace, 1/2 circle sofa and eating area with BBQ. Due to the height of the new homes... a 6 foot fence wouldn't begin to create the screening effect required and due to the depth of my property evergreens would make my home and entertainment area too dark. So their design with flowering Magnolia's Dogwoods and Japanese Maples along with year around colorful plants and scrubs and adjusting soil levels... along with creating beautiful river rock and flagstone pathways ... It's going to be not only beautiful but achieve the objective of privacy with diffused light year around.

I had a great experience drawing up plans for my front & backyard makeover with Lisa and the Harmony Team. Lisa is very easy to collaborate with and knowledgeable about how to achieve my end goals for maximizing utility and aesthetics. I am embarking on a large investment so attention to details is my top priority. I had the basic concepts down, I needed help refining them to the final design. I'm very happy with her work and highly recommend her for your next landscape design projects.

I knew Lisa was the one to design our yard the first time I met her. She listened to what I wanted and created something that was more than I had imagined. She was very hands-on, coming by to check on progress and always available for my questions. We liked her design so much, that we have already hired her to finish out our backyard. We have owned several homes and are DIY'ers from the first one thirty years ago but our current property has an unbelievably steep slope with somewhat hidden giant boulders scattered underneath the house, garage and down to the backyard fence. I contacted Lisa based on previous client reviews because we could not decide where to start without a plan. Harmony Design NW is indeed everything positive in mine and previous reviews. From the very first phone call, Lisa was professional, actively listens and recaps when necessary to verify details, goes over the initial owner questionnaire with great care to respect all the factors in play, and then presented a plan that was not only competent, but gorgeous. Every step of the way was full of generously shared experience, on-target recommendations for the type of contractors needed, and tips for good ways to incorporate what was in our range of abilities with DIY phases. Starting from one initial meeting with pictures, to checking in with two phone calls for specifics, a summary walk-around meeting with a partner design architect and the presentation of the design that was then enhanced in response to our requests, she delivered a beautiful and workable design on time that conquered the math on our part of the mountain so we were able to begin this long-desired hardscaping with full confidence. The attached pictures are BEFORE and DURING because we won't be finished until late this year, and if possible I will post the AFTER pictures when complete. This was one of the best decisions of our entire renovation to work with Lisa and we will always be grateful for the chance to work with her.

Lisa did a fantastic job on the design for my home. I had a lot of ideas about the changes I wanted. For some things I knew exactly what I wanted and others just a vague idea. Lisa is a great listener. She incorporated the design elements that I wanted and helped me on the things I wasn't sure about. She gave me good options and was always available in email or sometimes a phone call to answer my questions. The design package was very professional. She also put me in touch with a contractor who has worked on some amazing projects. I'm looking forward to turning the design into reality in a few months.

We did a Fresh Ideas consulting session, and Lisa was great. She gave us great ideas, helped us make sense of our yard and it's potential. Gave us ideas of what we should / shouldn't attempt on our own. We felt very good with our decision to work with Lisa and have a better idea of how to proceed.
