J & S Landscape

We cannot recommend J&S landscaping enough! Working with J&S has been an absolutely fantastic experience! J&S landscaped an acre property for us. We worked with them through the landscape design process through to completion. They were professional, thorough, detailed, and detailed at every step in the process. During landscape design, we worked with them to design a landscape that included a pool, and supported three dogs, on a corner lot that had no existing landscaping. They worked with us through several iterations, bought up issues like yearly irrigation costs, and were able to help us budget out different scenarios and plans for the project, promptly, creatively, and without any "hard selling." We did our due diligence and even took the quote from J&S and shopped around for a better price - we didn't find anyone that could match with the level of service they were providing. When they actually started the work - they were courteous and conscientious. They made sure that things were kept clean and didn't upset our neighbors with messy roads or unreasonable noise. Their finished product is Exceptional. Their eye for detail amazing, and they did not try and nickel and dime over things -If it was a per unit cost and we wanted more units, they just put more in (like boulders). We encountered some issues with the city and permitting - and J&S worked with us to get the situation fixed and the city happy. We loved working directly with the owner throughout the project, and cannot speak highly enough of him and his company. One of the best professional experiences we've ever had. Thank you J&S!

We hired Kristin to help us come up with a plan for new larger front steps, walkway, driveway, and updated landscape. Kristin is really fun to work with, listened to what we wanted and what was important to us, and ultimately helped us create a plan for exactly what we had envisioned. She spoke so highly about her boss, Scott, and their company, J& S landscape, that we decided to meet with them once our plans were completed. We had met with a few other companies previously and immediately felt confidence in Scott and his calm demeanor and kindness. We hired J& S to execute our project and we couldn’t be happier that we did! The whole team from demo to concrete was a pleasure to work with. Everyone genuinely cared about our happiness with the final product and took the time and integrity with their jobs to ensure that happened. We had several neighbors comment on how quickly the whole process went , how the crew was there promptly every morning….and how much more contemporary our property looks as a result :) We look forward to working with everyone again in the spring (when the weather allows for planting) to complete the final touches on our project. 5-star review Superlatives are often questionable, but believe this one: J&S is the best landscaper my husband and I have worked with over many, many years of building new houses. Scott Haugland’s execution and management combined with his and Mike Woods’ design of our new home’s landscape plan was exceptional. The entire project was such a pleasure to experience as the crews arrived promptly, worked long hours and were clearly experienced and specialized in each area of their responsibility. From plants to hardscape to fencing to a bocce court, the work was done in a caring, accommodating, professional manner. Scott is an outstanding leader and gentleman, whose crew obviously respects his leadership. We really appreciated and recognized that Scott, who has been in the business since he was a teenager, was at our home every day bright and early to ensure crews, supplies and materials were arriving just as they were needed and planned. He continues to stop by to ensure the systems are working as appropriate. Scott and Mike were a pleasure to work with, and the various J&S crews were incredibly committed, polite and hard working. Their attention to detail is unsurpassed. We could not be happier with what we consider a beautiful enhancement to our new home and the neighborhood. J&S is simply the best.

We were very happy with the design Mike developed and the end result! The design was far and away the best one submitted from 4 different landscaping companies. Mike was able to take our suggestions and put them into a design that met our needs and wishes for an outdoor living space. We have been able to use our backyard for entertaining and play and always get compliments on the work.

We chose J&S Landscape to expand our Plant Select Demonstration Gardens. It was a large project that included removing existing debris, gravel and juniper bushes from an area in front of our office building. Grading and adding berms and boulders were also a part of the tasks they were asked to complete, along with A LOT of soil amendment. They did an AMAZING job transforming the space from start to finish. Every aspect of their work was professional and all of the work was completed during our business hours. The timeline was exactly as they said it would be. I would highly recommend them and they did such a fantastic job that we hired them back for another job that was equally as large.

Scott, Mike and crew were all terrific to work with. We wanted a design that was different than many and they accomodated us amazingly! The entire crew demonstrated professionalism and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for superb service!

We couldn't have been happier. Mike's design reflected his knowledge of plants that do well in our area, his talent for design, and genuine interest in what we wanted. The crew's workmanship was excellent and they were pleasant to work with - always being careful to cleanup each day. Once the project started, they came every day until the it was completed. Scott was always available to answer questions and there was followup by Scott and his crew that is rare nowadays. We will definitely use them again.

We chose J&S initially because the finished projects on their website were actually tasteful. Our project involved replacing a deteriorated and poorly designed patio and driveway with new. The old patio had concrete steps encroaching on two sides and had settled, creating cracks and uneven surfaces. The new patio was raised to near house floor level and added a stone seating wall, creating a functional terrace as well as a grounded and inviting transition to the rear yard. Everything was done with top quality, and most importantly all of their crew are good people, at all times concerned with how we liked what they did. We could not be more pleased with their work and the results. We'll send another photo this Spring when the landscaping fills in.

The owner is attentive to customers needs giving the highest level of customer service, while the crews are hardworking and genuinely care about the quality of the workmanship. On a large pool and spa project we worked with J&S Landscapes to create a unique outdoor environment for the clients which required specialized construction expertise in outdoor kitchens, outdoor structures, water elements, outdoor lighting, wall construction , stone work, motor work and irrigation .

Great design work & landscape maintenance. They are very good with water features. We have a very large yard. We have used J&S for over 12 years. Total satisfaction. Awesome people.

Scott and Mike and their whole crew did a fantastic job on this 2+ acre project. Great design, beautiful installation and ongoing maintenance and support created a beautiful environment. And SO easy to work with.

J&S Landscaping is the BEST! •In 1986 J&S Landscaping installed a fence around our ¾ acre corral up Sunshine Canyon; excellent job done on time and under bid. It never needed any repairs and would still be standing if not for the Four Mile Canyon Fire. •In 2001 J&S Landscaping landscaped my entire yard and installed a hot tub; fantastic job done in a short time and at a great price! •In 2007 I moved and J&S Landscaping again landscaped my entire yard. Pictures of it are in this publication under Boulder Shade Lovers Landscape, judge the outcome for yourself. •In 2015 I moved yet again and J&S Landscaping is about to landscape our entire property next month.
