Jackie did a great job translating our desire for a natural, woodlands feel into a beautiful landscape for our yard. She created a perfect design providing a sense of privacy balanced with soft borders along our back deck. Jackie is easy to work with, and we totally clicked with her aesthetic.

Jackie helped up design a very large landscape project that included significant grading, hardscape, a beautiful deck, many new plantings, transplanting existing material, and lighting. From the very beginning, Jackie was committed to preserving our old world feel. Jackie is a true professional. She has an incredible eye and works very hard to design beautiful, natural, thoughtful spaces. The beauty is in the details, whether it it the type of stone she selected, the pattern for the walk way, the adjustments of the lights or the placement of a particular tree or shrub. While designing, we spent many hours with Jackie where she listened to our concerns and goals, and offered her recommendations. We worked together to create very detailed bid documents which made that difficult part of the project run smoothly. When our landscapers began, Jackie was involved in every decision and if something didn't look quite right she made sure that it was corrected to her satisfaction. She was on site, available and truly dedicated to our project. Jackie included us too and was open to our suggestions. I spent many hours with her and our contractors when the trees, shrubs and plantings were placed. This effort in the field led to an amazingly beautiful, lush, mature landscape in both our front and back yards. Jackie advocates for her clients in a strong, respectful manner. She truly cares about the project and demands excellence across the board. That's why we have such a beautiful yard now!

Jacalyn created a landscape master plan for our house, and worked with us to implement the first phase. She was wonderful through every step of the process. We loved her vision (she has impeccable taste); the process she used to walk us through the design (she is incredibly organized); and the care she took to work within our budget. We could not be happier - it all looks better than we ever imagined!

We had the most amazing experience with Jackie. I had seen her sign by a neighbor's yard that I've always admired and called Jackie out of the blue. I had a vision of what I was looking for, but not the skillset to know how to articulate and implement the relaxed yet balanced and beautiful yard Jackie was able to create. Jackie has been a true pleasure to work with! She redesigned our back garden, working around some mature plantings and a patio that we wanted to keep. We chose her because she has a very naturalistic approach to landscape design, which is what we wanted. She added a lovely stone path along the back of our house, bordered by ferns and moss, and another path leading to our garden shed. She also re-worked several perennial beds. She has a great eye, and I trust her explicitly. In addition, she has been a strong advocate for us when dealing with the landscape company we hired to do the work; keeping them on task in a firm but respectful way. We are already talking to her about planning our next project. I really can't imagine using anyone but Jackie!

We hired Jackie to design and manage our back yard and terrace. Her design solutions were innovative. She embraced our desire for a modern yet natural solution that requires little maintenance. Jackie carefully balanced how we wanted use the space with the reality of the site conditions. Our project had some technical components including regrading the site and supporting water drainage. Jackie did an excellent job managing the contractors. She was actively involved until we were satisfied with project closeout. She has a great attention to detail and demands the best from her project team. Two years later, she continues to check in and is available if we have questions or need support.

My wife and I have known Jacalyn Gould socially, and when we were preparing to sell our house in Wayland after living there 20 years and move to Cape Cod, we engaged her to spruce up our house and do some design sketches for work on our smaller, and more rustic Cape Cod house. Jacky is a no-drama professional, who reads the terrain supremely well. She has a real talent for combining classical design principles with a modern sensibility and owner tastes, and has very competent resources which she manages well for quality, budget and timeline. While these were two relatively small projects, we could not be happier with the work.

We hired Jackie to make a very ugly back yard into a space we would love and she did. She used her expertise to tackle a project with multiple grading and structural issues. Besides having strong creative talents, she also is extremely flexible and accomodating to work with, making changes as needed and being sensitive to the clients concerns (financial and otherwise) while always keeping an eye towards the integrity of her project. She develops very detailed plans , picks contractors that she respects and follows the project through to completion remaining dedicated to the needs of her clients even in areas that should/might be the contractors.
