Our experience with JMS Design Associates was a 10 out of 10. Our $250K+ project progressed exceptionally well, even with the many intricacies involved. The design was excellent, and Jeffrey Smith was an intent listener during this process. Working with Jeffrey and Salvador was always a pleasure. Their experience in this particular field was exhibited from beginning to end. JMS' interface with the three contractors selected for the job was outstanding. I couldn't be happier with this aspect of the project. All details were covered, and Jeffrey was always close by and available for any questions that surfaced. From design to implementation to dealing with the principals, JMS came alongside us with a great demeanor and worked with us as a true partner. Their work was outstanding.

JMS Designs did a beautiful job of helping me conceptualize what I needed, then translated the vision into professional drawings and plans. They were timely, no delays on the job, all plants were healthy and attractive, and the installation team was clean and fast. I was extremely pleased with the results, and with the process. The whole team, Jeff and Salvador and others, were pleasant and clear. I highly recommend them for anyone's home landscaping needs. Bonus: I get lots of compliments from my friends because I do alot of entertaining in my back garden...

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! First, Jeff Smith is an incredible, experienced landscape designer. He listened to every detail, educated us along the way, and crafted a gorgeous landscape plan. He was patient and flexible as we needed to reschedule the start date a couple times based on our other major renovations. He never complained and he was always very transparent about his other projects so we could find the best installation dates and times for everyone. Once he and his crew started, they had a great strategy in place. You could tell they had taken time to plan everything out in order to complete the job thoroughly with the least disruption to our lives. Jeff and his crew were attentive, efficient, and super easy to work with. They cleaned up after themselves every single day they were here. Our landscaping turned out better than our wildest dreams! Our neighbors are all very impressed and I will always recommend him to anyone in need of his services.

After seeing pictures of JMS Design Associates' work on Houzz, I met with Jeff Smith, and then toured several of their completed jobs in the area of my home. I was particularly interested in the fact that they could both design, and then contract for the realization of the proposed design. The job was ultimately done in two distinct and understandable phases: the design and then the construction and installation of the design. My 1948 Paul Lazlo designed home finally has an appropriate, flattering and water saving landscape; which grows more interesting almost each day. We (my wife and I, our neighbors, the occasional commenting architecture buff and the LADWP) are all very happy!

JMSDesign did a great job with my project. They are very knowledgable and professional. I really enjoyed working with them. My landscaping looks amazing!

JMS installed s spectacular garden in my backyard. It was done on budget and on schedule. Jeff was always ultra professional and at all times pleasant. I would readily hire the company again

Good team with good subs. Primary effort was a courtyard with a tile fountain. Flagstone and ground cover. Courtyard is beautiful with great plant selections. Project also included landscape lighting and sprinkling system both for the front and back. And pavers for four sets of steps/landings. Only drawback was the plant selection for the backyard which required working around existing trees. Most of which didn't work out. No problem with budgets or deadlines. It's been several years and we still take each others calls .

JMS Design Associates did a fabulous job landscaping and hardscaping our total property. From the choices of our plants and trees to the type of bricks we used for the driveway...Jeff and Sal did it all with great taste. They helped us keep with our English garden design theme and everything came out beautifully. We'd use them again!

We actually completed two different homes with JMS and had a wonderful experience with both. They bring a great deal of knowledge and creativity, both times giving us more than we could have imagined. They worked well with our ideas and questions and know how to manage a complex project and budget. They also had to deal with a challenging permit process and remained professional at all times.

We recently completed a major renovation/addition to our home in the Spaulding Square neighborhood of Los Angeles. Being a designer, the built portion of the project came naturally, the Landscape did not. We were fortunate to have had the assistance of JMS design! Jeff, Sal and their crew were fantastic!! They are a truly professional group, they executed the job perfectly! Our landscape continues to mature and our out of town guest always comment on the beautiful, tranquil setting we have. We highly recommend JMS design.

I can’t begin to tell you how much we love our new surroundings! JMS’s ability to pull this off, under the tight schedule was truly amazing. Cool, calm & collected was how they appeared, even as our schedule was tight! We really enjoy our pool, overlook to the Ocean, and new outdoor dinning areas, and gardens. Great job.

We came to JMS Design from a referral from our interior designer. We started this project with a dirt lot and everything was built from ground up. We wanted an east coast feeling to our landscape with areas that we could enjoy as well as space for the kids to play. This was achieved through the pool and knot garden areas. Also the entertainment pool house has been a big hit with the outdoor tv and adjacent barbecue being used regularly. The installation went smoothly and we enjoy the plantings and bluestone and brick paving.
