After meeting with Jodie and discussing our wants and needs, she drew up plans to replace our tired front lawn with native plants.
The process was professional, timely and enjoyable. She was wonderful to work with and the resulting garden is amazing! The plants filled in so quickly with different bursts of color during each season. Totally low maintenance and the birds love it! Thank you Jodie!!!

Jodie Cook did an extensive hardscape and softscape design on our ½ acre property. We wanted to keep true to our theme of Spanish Colonial Revival, with accompanying California native plants that were indigenous to our exact location. She did an incredible job. Her communication was excellent to insure that we got exactly what we wanted. She was able to help us accurately visualize how her conceptual view would look upon completion. Jodie has an extraordinary and very artful eye for color and color combination and we believe that her knowledge of native landscape is unparalleled. We are simply thrilled with the beauty of our yard every day and night along with the wide variety of wildlife that it attracts. Jodie continues to follow up with suggestions. We highly recommend Jodie Cook for your natural landscape design.

Jodie is an absolute joy to work with. And the extent of her knowledge about our local plants and how best to care for them borders on encyclopedic. She is a treasure. She redesigned our yard to get rid of grass and replace with hardscape and native plants that don't require much water. Her design is beautiful and has truly transformed our home. The one downside is that she does get busy and overloaded at times, so a few things dropped through the cracks during our project but nothing that was all that much of a problem. We would hire her again in a heartbeat!

We employed Jodie to totally redesign our complete outside areas. She was extremely diligent in analyzing our requirements and prepared a detailed set of plans that optimized our view, together with an estimated cost.
After we engaged a contractor, Jodie was very attentive in making sure the project was on time and made any neccessary adjustments to meet our changing requirements and resolved an issues that developed. After all the hardscape was completed, she arranged the planting of the complete garden that is the envy of the neighbourhood and we are extremely happy with the final results
She is a very talented designer who has the ability to create a fantastic outdoor living area and I would highly recommend her for any project.

I had the best experience working with Jodie Cook. She redesigned our courtyard, and she was very patient with my numerous change requests. Very early on in the process, she showed me lots of pictures (plants and flowers, retaining wall materials, etc.) to get a feel for my likes and dislikes. She then drew up several hardscape designs to get my input before the final design was made. She shopped at numerous stone suppliers to not only get the right shade of flagstone but also at the most resonable price. We then shopped together for plants to ensure that what I liked could be incorporated into the project. She has tremendous knowledge of the plants - water and sun requirements, disease resistance, growth rate, etc. and it was so helpful to have her input. She also has a talent for grouping different plants together based on their sizes and colors. And the subcontractors she chose to do the work were excellent! The end result of her talent and knowledge is a beautiful courtyard - even more amazing than anything I could have ever imagined. I would highly recommend her to everyone!

Jodie was really great to work with when we remodeled our home and yard. She took the ideas that we had and really came up with an amazing design. The best part was she was very involved and worked directly with our contractor and landscape installer. She made sure they followed the plan, was there when adjustments needed to be made and was there when they finished. I could not be more happy with the job that she did and our yard and the spaces she created are amazing. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Jodie Cook designed and supervised a significant project for our custom hilltop, ocean-view home. The project began with a complete exterior demolition and encompassed hardscape, masonry, irrigation, planting and lighting elements. After evaluating several landscape architects and designers, Jodie’s depth of knowledge, sensitivity to our needs and desires, and her genuine enthusiasm for our project clearly distinguished her. Although we were not her only clients, she made us feel that our project was her top priority.
Her talents were quickly apparent after producing a water-wise, stunning, but subtly sophisticated design concept that was true to the architectural style of our home and our coastal environment. She melded form and function to create expanded uses and a cohesive flow to the property that had eluded us for 24 years. The results far exceeded our expectations.
Jodie was extraordinarily helpful and understanding, and her many suggestions and advice were offered with discretion and reassurance. Her attention to detail, as well as client service and satisfaction is rare. Moreover, we found her trustworthiness to be as notable as her creative skills and professionalism.
Jodie’s resourcefulness was invaluable, as she succeeded in locating specialized plantings and pricing unattainable from our contractor. Our budget was not modest, nor was it extravagant, but Jodie’s diligence permitted the project to finish under-budget. Additionally, she worked very well with our suppliers and contractor, winning their respect, while steadfastly safeguarding our interests.
Landscape improvement projects can be daunting, but Jodie made our experience enjoyable. She delivered everything that she promised, and more. We are pleased to recommend Jodie Cook Landscape Design.
