We would highly recommend working with Kimberly Mercurio. The landscaping portion of our home in Harwich, MA turned out to be as substantial as the house project itself as we started with essentially a blank slate and the desire for a pool and outdoor area to enjoy for three seasons of the year. Kimberly's restrained style was a perfect fit for what we had hoped the yard could become. She blended existing plants and trees with new plantings as well as nuanced, but stunning stone work (note the wild thyme joints between the pudding stones!). A dry grouted stone wall turned out to be the centerpiece of the yard and will remain for many many decades. She created privacy in areas where it seemed difficult to achieve and yet there is plenty of living, lounging and swimming space too. Kimberly's style and technique are timeless and she is a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend.

Kimberly undertook a major landscape project for us in Cape Cod over the course of about 1 1/2 years. The original configuration of our property presented material challenges and required a design that allowed for much more efficient usage of the entire yard. It also necessitated a design that offered the option to build a pool in the future. Everything about the project was connected, no one part could be worked on without planning and working toward the next section. Ultimately it involved bringing in material amounts of soil, regrading most all the property, ensuring there was proper drainage and the building of three architecturally beautiful stone retainer walls. Kimberly regularly communicated with us and the contractor, discussing the most cost efficient approaches, presenting alternatives and ensuring the project was successfully completed within budget and generally in the time frame suggested - given COVID-related delays outside everyone's control. She also worked with us to select and place plantings. We highly recommend Kimberly. She was a professional, very knowledgeable, highly skilled, easy to work with, listened to our desires for the property and delivered her services at a very reasonable cost. We would use her services again without hesitation if the need arose.

Kimberley did an exquisite job on our project on Cape Cod. We put in a pool close to the road (not ideal but no choice), and Kimberley landscaped it so that no one knows it’s there! It’s beautiful, practical and functional. Kimberly’s style is low key, but she is responsive, was sensitive to our views, and over-all a delight to work with. You are lucky if you can get on her schedule!

I am a landscape contractor and have worked together with Kimberly over the last 6 years. She is truly an artist! She takes simple materials and utilizes them in unique ways. Her designs compliment the architecture of each house and blends it into the existing site and the environment that surrounds it. Kim works on ocean front properties, the country side, suburbia or right in the heart of the city. She has done lots of projects with conservation and specializes in naturalized plantings. We went to Kim with a list of wishes including hardscape and plantings, and have been delighted with the results. The hardscape, a patio, walkways, walls and a greenhouse are all of beautiful quality, but best of all Kim’s design minimizes some awkward aspects of our house and outbuildings. The driveway was recontoured and now looks graceful and planned instead of impromptu. A meadow plot and a number of new garden beds are now in place. As a plant lover and avid gardener, I appreciated Kim’s knowledge and responsiveness to my many requests. We’ve enjoyed seeing things begin to thrive and look forward to watching the gardens blossom next year.

Kimberly was a pleasure to work with and is highly knowledgeable in all facets of landscape design, and especially in incorporating beneficial native plantings to support local wildlife and ecosystems. Our project involved returning over an acre of heavily overgrown land, full of aggressive, invasive undergrowth, back to a healthy and manageable state that is full of native plantings that are both beautiful and beneficial! Kimberly was great a taking any of our ideas or desires and giving excellent feedback and providing plenty of related articles and images. These were all incorporated into a cohesive and well crafted master landscape plan. She was also a great help in getting through the town's Conservation Committee and worked seamlessly with our landscape contractor. I would definitely use Kimberly again for any future projects and give her my highest recommendations for anyone looking for a top notch Landscape Architect!

Kimberly Mercurio has an excellent sense for landscape design -- clean lines, elegant style, and great taste. Kimberly does great work with hardscape (stone etc) as well as plant materials. She takes particular care to select top notch plants and has an especially good eye for selecting gorgeous trees. In addition, she is a pleasure to work with -- thoughtful, detail oriented and collaborative! Kimberly works in the Boston area and also on Cape Cod and the Islands.

Kim was a pleasure to work with. We wanted something green and calming on a relatively small lot. While I have strong tastes, I don't know how to translate them into gardening terms. Kim was great at understanding aesthetic and maintenance goals and giving us creative options. She then oversaw installation with a caring and steady presence. I live in an old colonial in the country in New Hampshire. My lot has a great lay of the land from old fashioned good siting but the property otherwise has needed help. Kimberly has worked with me several times to bring structure and beauty to my property. One of her first ideas for improvement was the creation of a naturalizing lily field on one side of the front of my property. She designed and oversaw the installation of this beautiful feature. Now, a mixed field of long blooming lilies overlooks the adjoining large field and is a welcoming structure that sets off the beauty of the front of my home. Kimberly has also worked with me in stages to transform the back of my property. I am a flower gardener but my gardens have lacked any incorporation with the "lay of the land." Kimberly has done several architectural interventions. Her abilities to listen and to work with me, a person who "has some ideas," have been amazing. I cannot conceive of making large changes in one's property without someone getting to know the person who lives there. Kimberly is great at this. And then! She brings concepts to projects that are beyond what I could ever have thought of or imagined. Landscape architecture is amazing because it provides form, structure, function, connection and stature in ways that are within the ken of the trained architect and way beyond mere "landscaping." Kimberly's gift is that she is an artist/designer who connects with people and is highly studied and experienced in her field. She is then able to produce works that transform our outdoor spaces in ways that are both elegant and personally pleasing. I highly recommend Kim as an extremely competent, careful, unbelievably attentive to detail, creative, personable and multi-talented person. She is a consummate professional who works miracles with her clients!

MsMercurio was hired to develope a master plan for our 7 acre parcel which was to be used for a 36,000. square foot office building that required regulatory approval from the Cape Cod Commission. Our goals were natural appearance, low cost maintaince, and a reasonable cost. Ms. Mercurio delivered on each of these goals. The Commission felt the plan met its goals. The installation went well. The cost was as agreed up front. The plantings remain hearty 8 years later and the maintaince was as promised. I would recommend Ms Mercuurio for any future project. Joel Crowell
