Karl is experienced and very knowledgeable about trees and plants. He is easy to work with and asked us questions about the type of trees or plants we wanted to incorporate into our landscape design. He worked within our budget to select the plantings. He is responsive to questions, is thorough, and goes the extra mile to be sure the client is satisfied.

I've worked with Karl on multiple projects. He has the best "vision" of any designer I've met. He is a professional. With his years and years of experience, I'd highly recommend him for any landscape design project.

Karl transformed our backyard. After many years of neglect, our backyard was beyond salvation in my opinion, but Karl performed a miracle. We no longer close the blinds to hide the view, but throw them open. We spent more time in our backyard this summer than the combined total of the last 10 years. Karl, thank you for giving us our summers back.

We used Karl to design a landscape plan for our front, back, and side yards. Karl came over to inspect the yard and sat with us to get a feel for what we had in mind and what our our budget was. He returned to go over the plan with us to see if we wanted to make any changes. Because the project was so big, he helped us divide it into 3 phases to make it more affordable. We have finished 2 of the 3 phases so far. We have gotten many compliments on the areas that have been completed. Several friends have told us it looks like a park.! We are looking forward to finishing the third phase in the coming year. Karl was very professional, and we have been enjoying our beautiful yard. His rates were very reasonable, too. I would definitely recommend him for landscape design.

Karl has done commercial work for me over several different companies and projects. He has always been thorough, professional and creative in his approach. He has a good awareness of the "bottom line", and puts his clients' interest first and foremost.

We've used Karl Krogstad to design landscape for two homes now. The most recent was in spring of 2019. We continue to receive compliments and many stop to take pictures. Karl meets with the homeowner to learn of their desires. Sketches are always on point. So exciting to see ideas come to life. We would recommend him again and again.

I have really enjoyed working with Karl! He did a comprehensive patio and landscaping design for our backyard. His designs included a 600 s.f. paver patio with seating walls, a pergola, dry creek beds, and an enclosed sun porch. Karl was also able to address several major drainage issues in our yard in his design. He was very patient with us throughout the design process, as we took quite a while to mull over decisions and had several revision requests. Once we started phase 1 of construction, he was on site to make sure all went as planned. He was responsive and communicative throughout the process. We have recently completed the patio, and the pergola and creek beds are currently under construction. We'll be tackling the landscaping and porch in phase 2. I am happy to have his guidance as we navigate this huge undertaking and will definitely be using him for more projects in the future!
