After years of admiring our neighbors yard that LandPatterns installed and maintains, we decided to contact them for our yard. We have lived in our home for 23 years and originally approached LandPatterns this past spring to help us with problem areas in our yard and weekly maintenance. After meeting with Marc Funderburk, President of LandPatterns, we decided to incorporate his design ideas and to hire his company for maintenance. I could not be happier! Everyone associated with LandPatterns is professional, knowledgeable and dependable. We love the design and redesign ideas Marc offered. He was able to move existing plant material and incorporate new ones that made the yard look new and updated. It finally made sense! The drainage problem we have had for years on our front walk way is no longer an issue. We can now walk around our yard and enjoy it rather than feeling frustrated with all that needed to be done. His maintenance personnel are the best! Alex, Rudy, and crew are meticulous and detail oriented. I wish we hadn't waited so long to approach this company and we can recommend them highly and without reservation!

Land Patterns has completed the transformation of our modest older home that is located in a neighborhood in transition. We updated the house with modern high-end windows and front entry and the landscaping is the perfect final touch. The architects at Land Patterns have responded with patience and professionalism to every one of our requests and the project was kept on budget and expertly executed. We have retained them to now do the same for our backyard and pool.

As an architect, I have been lucky to work with Marc and his team for over 20 years on a professional basis. We have collaborated on various types of commercial projects throughout this time, but I recently had them do both my office building and residence. I consider both incredible solutions to not only the aesthetics, but to issues regarding water usage as well. They were able to take my vague descriptions of the general size, shape, and color I was looking for and complete the vision. Looking forward to many more years of successful projects.

Marc runs his company with a high degree of professionalism. His employees work expertly. Both management and staff are always courteous. Projects are well thought out, completed timely and expertly. Having moved from Oklahoma City and a beautiful, lush backyard, to a newly-built home in the Dallas area, presented a real challenge, as we wanted to duplicate the peaceful, serene environment of our Oklahoma backyard. I got on Houzz.com and found LandPatterns, Inc., read the good reviews and contacted landscape architect, Marc Funderburk, who came to our home for a consultation. Plans were drawn up to our specifications for our backyard oasis and the work began. It took three months to complete the project and I cannot begin to express how very happy we are with our backyard! The in-house crew who worked for LandPatterns, and the subcontractors were highly professional. I have nothing but praise in all aspects for this landscape company. They built two waterfalls with a running creek bed, a bridge, three large patio areas to entertain friends and family, and three ponds for fish. LandPatterns left no stone unturned on this job and they made sure we were satisfied as the job progressed. Since completion, we have thoroughly enjoyed backyard entertaining, and have received rave compliments from everyone who has seen it. It truly is a backyard oasis! Jason was very pleasant to work with and tired to provide everything in the manner that I requested. The work was done according to plan and very quickly.

We contracted with LandPatterns for a complete landscape renovation of a newly acquired home. The home is located in a well establish golf course community with mature trees and well manicured lawns. Our challenge for Marc was to eliminate the lawn completely along with the majority of the shrubs and high maintanence trees, and replace with a Xeriscape. During our initial meeting with Marc it was obvious he was in tune with our thoughts, and after a couple of minor adjustments to the original concept we had a project. The LandPattterns crew were very professional and I cannot say enough good things about them. They always cleaned up at the end of each day...including sweeping/blowing off the neighbors driveways. Their equipment is in excellent condition and well maintained so there was no need to worry about oil and grease stains being left on the driveway. As expected we lost a few plants over the summer months but everything was replaced. There were even a few plantings that Marc felt weren't doing as good as "he expected" and so he transplanted several and brought in additional plants that he felt would do better in those areas. They did! Overall we are very pleased with the project and would highly recommend Marc and is team to anyone looking for a professional landscape architect.

I hired LandPatterns, Inc. to prepare a landscape design for my home. I worked with Jason Lackey on this project. My wife and I knew going into the design process that we would not be able to complete the landscape in one chunk, so we decided to prepare the design and complete the infrastructure of the landscaping (i.e. French drain, irrigation). Jason communicated well during the design process and listened carefully to our opinions and tastes. We are happy with the design he prepared for us and look forward to the project's completion. The installation of the French drain and irrigation system went quickly with no hang ups. The crew showed up early in the morning and worked hard all day. There was a moment at the end of the day when all the trenches were dug and all the piping was laid, the crews were wrapping up, and I noticed that they had missed a section of drip irrigation around some foundation pillars. Jason immediately recognized the oversight and corrected the problem the next morning. I am very happy with the quality of product and the level of service.

We engaged LandPatterns, Inc. to design the front landscape for our newly renovated home. The LandPatterns team worked with us to develope a design that beautifully completes the exterior of our home. The professionals at LandPatterns listened to us to understand the overall feel we wanted and were able to create a design that articulates that. Our home is a contemporary design, clean and crisp, but with a warm, enviting, almost resort feel to it. LandPatterns created design that maintains the clean, architectural lines of the sturcture but also is warm and inviting with lots of warm colors, palm trees, crepe myrtles, coral yuccas, and grasses. The landscape begins at the street, inviting you and escorting you all the way to the front entry. We are totally in love with our landscape design and consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have found LandPatterns, Inc.

We hired Marc to design our dream backyard. Our house is situated on an acre so there was a lot of room to work with. The first time we walked around the property we just started rattling off stuff we wanted and the styles we liked. What Marc came back with was amazing. He designed a pool and cabana that included a kitchen and bathroom. Being complete novices, Marc took the time to thoroughly review each step of his plans and then tweak them several times (without complaint) to get them exactly how we wanted them. Marc has also gone above and beyond in the whole process. We did not hire him as the general contractor because my husband works from home and I stay at home so we felt that we could oversee the projects. However that has not stopped him from stopping by several times to check on the project and point out things that would have probably missed. We still have the irrigation and landscaping to complete and even without that I can assure you that Marc and his team have created our dream!

After a disappointing experience with a different landscaper the previous year, we were a bit disillusioned with the thought of starting another project. But our yard, both front and back, was uninspiring and obviously in decline. Marc sat down with us and after a discussion and brainstorming session, developed plans that rekindled our excitement about what our yard could be. This was an iterative process, and Marc took them time integrate our sometimes fluid idea along the way. Throughout all stages of the project (including landscaping, hardscaping, and fencing, front and back) Clay was constantly involved managing the various teams. With a project this size there will always be hiccups, but the measure is how well these are handled. We couldn't be happier with the process and result.

Marc designed the landscaping for our house when we built it 8 years ago, and he did a beautiful job. I wouldn't have changed a thing about the design and have been very pleased. I chose not to use them, however, for my weekly maintenance after we moved in. I'd been using Raymundo and his crew at my old house, and I felt a loyalty to him. In addition, his prices were half of what LandPatterns charged. However, all they did was mow the lawn and blow leaves. My husband fertilized and I pulled weeds, but it never looked very good. Fast forward 6 years. My husband and I divorced, I stayed in the house, and I realized I wouldn't be able to do all of the work myself. I hired LandPatterns to do my weekly maintenance, and almost immediately my yard was transformed. I quickly regretted my decision to try to save money earlier. Whereas the old crew would blow in (pun intended) and out in about 15 mins., the LandPatterns crew spends at least an hour. They pull the weeds out of every single pot, all parts of the garden, and fertilize to perfection. My yard has never looked more beautiful, and I have received so many compliments. Clay is a joy to work with, and whenever I have a question, he's on my doorstep. You can't go wrong with LandPatterns!

Our 30-year old landscaping was overdue for a makeover when we found LandPatterns. Marc listened to our likes and dislikes before designing a completely new front landscape for us. He showed infinite patience as we changed our minds or were undecided. Both Marc and Clay responded to our every call, completing the project much quicker than I had anticipated. The result is a delightful blend of grasses, flowering shrubs, and paved walkway that offer as nice a view from inside our low windows as from the street.

Jason and Marc were wonderful to work with. They involved us from the very first stages of planning until the project was complete. They were detail oriented, flexible and open to our ideas and opinions, and provided design plans in a timely and very professional manner. We would highly recommend LandPatterns to our friends and family for their professionalism, flexibility and creativity.

LandPatterns removed existing landscaping, installed an irrigation system and new plant material. They also redid a patio, removing brick pavers and poorly sited planters, installing flagstone paving and constructing a new planter. I thought Jason Lackey, the landscape architect, was excellent--his plan accomplished all I wanted. Their work crews were professional, reliable, and very industrious. I would use them again and I unhesitatingly recommend them.

Marc and Clay and their crew designed and installed a truly beautiful outcome for our home. They totally transformed our back yard into a wonderful living area complete with outdoor kitchen and small pool and they greatly improved the curb appeal of our front yard as well. 2014: We have recently updated some of our plantings and landscape features for better resource usage given our area drought issues and Marc and his crew completed it beautifully. We have also continued to use LandPatterns, Inc. for our weekly maintenance with wonderful results.

We enjoyed working with Marc on a very complicated architectural design for an outdoor kitchen. We are excited about the plans and currently working on the budget. I feel like Marc's attention to detail will allow our contractor to be successful in completing the project around a Juniper Tree. More to come. Laura MacNeil
