Legacy Landscape

John and Marty have been great people to work with. From the very beginning " idea " phase of our front yard re-design all the way though its completion, they were easy to talk to, and were most open to the collaborative process. Our goal was to replace a tired water thirsty landscape which was mostly lawn and hedges with something that was easier to maintain and would enhance the curb appeal of the house. Among the challenges faced were the sloped, shallow and relatively long dimensions of the space. After a few short months, we have a yard that far exceeds our expectations. The design, and the high quality of the work from the entire crew have yielded a final product that truly enhances the architecture of the home. Throughout the project, we witnessed high levels of knowledge and expertise, all of which contributed to a very positive and rewarding experience for us. We would not hesitate working with them again in the future!

We are extremely pleased with our newly landscaped front yard. The brick porch and walkway are a work of art. The flagstone steps leading to the side yard look amazing. John and his crew were very easy and accommodating to work with. We have lived in our home since 1981. We have completed two additions, several small projects and landscaped the backyard. This was our most positive experience. We have received several compliments from friends and neighbors.

They did beautiful work on our front yard. The hardscape of pavers and flagstone turned out just how I wanted it. Their suggestions on lighting accent the yard perfectly.

Best of the best! We highly recommend Legacy Landscape! They far exceeded our expectations, from design creation to project execution as planned. They helped us avoid mistakes and costly solutions thanks to their experience, honesty, and guidance. We had been wanting to landscape our property (nearly an acre) since we bought our home in July 2013. We were looking at removing a ton of concrete, trucking in several hundred cubic yards of soil, and replacing the vegetation and trees in our front and rear gardens with California native drought-resistant plants, installing irrigation systems, creating stone pathways and a pergola by the pool. We had interviewed several architects and landscape professionals, including some recommended by friends and colleagues, but none left us satisfied. Finally, in July 2014 we read about Legacy Landscape and their high ratings in Houzz. John and Marty met with us, heard us out and made great suggestions. John and his excellent team opened our eyes to what it was like to deal with consummate professionals. Marty kept us informed of how the project was advancing and kept a strict accounting of costs and alternatives. They met with us as needed or as we reached project milestones. It has been a year and a half of transformation that has given us a home to be proud of. We could not be more pleased!

I had a great experience working with John and Marty! They helped me with a small landscaping project on my yard (mainly replacing existing plants and installing gravel) and I'm very pleased with the results. Also, not only are Marty and John very personable and knowledgeable about gardening and landscaping, but they were always available and willing to help me with all of my concerns, doubts, etc. I highly recommend them!

We had a limited budget this year, but grand plans for the future. We have a new construction home with an odd-shaped backyard. Due to the drought, we wanted a drought resistant landscape that still provided a great look and texture. John and Marty designed our long-term plan, and phased the installation according to our budget needs. John provided his expertise both in the type of plants we should use in a low water environment, and created a look that still provided lots of visual interest. And, Marty regularly communicated to ensure the project stuck to budget. In the end, we are extremely pleased with the design, workmanship, and very appreciative of Legacy Landscape's professionalism.

Legacy Landscaping created a great landscaping plan for our front yard and backyard. They met with us several times to understand our desires and then developed plans with options to bring our visions to life. They also worked with us to keep the improvements within our budget and provided knowledgeable guidance in finalizing the plans. Our neighbors often stop to admire the plantings and artificial grass in the front yard. The fountain and rill in the back yard have given us the tranquil space we were seeking. The drought tolerant plans quickly attracted many birds and provided a nice spectrum of color and textures. These improvements blend nicely with our existing patio area. Marty and John were a pleasure to work with. They provided quality services an a very timely manner for a fair cost. We highly recommend them to others.

We had an exceptional experience working with Legacy Landscape to design a full xeriscape front yard landscape. We worked directly with the owners throughout the process -- everything was delivered on-time, on-budget and the front yard landscape is beautiful. One of the owners, Marty Lodge, worked closely with me to put the landscape design together -- paying particular attention to incorporating a design that was exactly to my specifications. The other owner, John Lodge, was on-site with his team every day throughout the installation, and has been available for follow up counseling on landscape maintenance. The team at Legacy is exceptionally professional and I would highly recommend.

Legacy Landscaping helped us turn our backyard into a functional outdoor space that we now enjoy on a daily basis. They did a great job working with us to create the look, feel and functionality that would work best for our family. With their help, our backyard went from an overgrown jungle to an outdoor entertaining oasis. John and Marty did a great job helping us work within our budget and put together a beautiful backyard that is easy for us to maintain. The lines of communication could be a bit clearer, but overall we are very happy with their service, as well as their work.

John Lodge did the original landscaping for our 3/4 acre 13 years ago. He listened to our wants and needs and did a wonderful job. Earlier this year, our yard needed a lot of trimming and some repair for our pond, waterfall, and lighting. John and Marty responded to our needs promptly and fit us in almost immediately. They are extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of landscaping and are a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend them.
