Little Creek Landscaping

We completed a second project with Little Creek landscaping this year. We had a retaining wall with stairs put in and were very impressed with the work that was done. Greg, John and Jared were great to deal with. When I was unhappy with a part of how the wall looked, they changed it without question. Due to the materials used this was not an easy fix. I would and have recommend them to others and will use them again for future projects.

Very unprofessional and poor customer service. After Little creek landscaping started work on our yard (shrub removal & digging around 9 sprinkler heads) June 7, 2021 the business development manager met with us at our yard after 3 pm to discuss the scope of work- he informed us the retaining wall was not included in our quote. The wall was in the drawings and edited by us before the final estimate. I had a conversation with Greg regarding the retaining wall before work was started he could not recall the conversation. That evening an estimate was made $25,000 for the retaining wall. We ask them to do everything else ie edging, removal of rocks and part of sod ($17,000) except the retaining wall. They just wanted to do the retaining wall and leave everything else. Back and forth email June 7-19. When we ask Greg to meet in person to discuss this he no longer wanted to work for us.

Little Creek Landscaping LTD did a very professional job on the hardscaping of the side and rear locations of our property. The approach to the contract was the better than you can imagine i.e. the Presentation & Quoting was efficient and on time. When it came to the actual construction period the efficiency continued. I was impressed with the company from the very start. They wore matching blue T-shirts which identified who they were with and had the slogan on the back of the shirts that said “Ask a landscape designer.” That further increased my confidence in the product that they produced. But most of all, I was impressed by the quality of the work that was accomplished. They did what was promised, on time and on schedule. All through the process they consulted with me to get my opinion and often they referred to their supervisor who was aware of every detail. When there was a slight glitch (there are always the little things that come up) they were quick to fix it. They completed their work and did the cleanup as well. They left the site spotless! I would give them my top recommendation. They did A+ on our work!

In searching for a landscaper in the summer of 2016 my wife and I began to get a little bit jaded at the process when we were interviewing prospective contractors. After meeting with two other companies we finally met with Greg at Little Creek to landscape our front yard. Immediately we chose to go with his company as he was professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly not condescending like the other companies we had encountered. Greg coordinated and executed beautiful work. Each step along the way the workers would check to ensure that we were pleased with the work that was being done and ensured that our vision was being brought to life, which it was. Also, the workers were always kind and interactive with my children, and they kept wanting to go outside to visit with the workers. This summer we decided to get some more landscaping work done. With our grass in the backyard lacking the necessary topsoil necessary to thrive we wanted to re-sod and add some plants. Without hesitation we immediately called Little Creek as we were extremely pleased with the whole process from the year before. This time I dealt with Will, and he paralleled all of the professional qualities that we had seen in Greg from the year before. Unfortunately, once the beautiful work had been completed we received an abundance of rain, which drowned the new plants. While this is typically and uninsurable and unpredictable event, Will felt bad for our luck and without prompting or pleading from me, offered to replace them free of charge. I can’t say enough good things about our experience and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone that needs to have any landscape work done.

My girlfriend and I met one of the Little Creek Landscaping landscape architects, Will, at the Home and Garden show in March of this year. We met several landscaping companies at the show, but what impressed us about Will and Little Creek Landscaping was their breadth of knowledge about all aspects of softscaping and hardscaping. He was polite, informative, confident, but not pushy. We had several consultations with other landscaping companies from the show, including Little Creek Landscaping, but we were still the most impressed with Will and his team. We met a few more times and worked together on a design plan for our whole property, using elements of my original designs into Will's plan. He adhered to our budget, and offered many different options that would give us the biggest bang for our buck. Little Creek Landscaping's associated nursery, Sherwood Nurseries, had nearly all of the trees and perennials that we incorporated into our plan, with only a few that had to be sourced from other nurseries. By having their own nursery, all the plants were cheaper than those sourced elsewhere. When the Little Creek employees arrived, they were all polite and approachable and it was fun to get to know all of them over the week they were on-site. Will and the crew worked well, despite recurrent inclement weather, and adapted well to any changes that had to be made as the project progressed. Issues that arose with the patio and planting arrangement were dealt with quickly, as Will refused to leave us unhappy with any aspects of the project. He repeatedly told us that us being unhappy about their work was unacceptable and that they would do everything they could to fix any issues we may have had. In the end, all garbage was taken away and the sidewalks, roads, and neighbouring yards were cleaned, leaving no signs of the construction that had been their prior. We now have a patio, a walkway, sod, 9 trees, and a bazillion perennials! It's been several weeks since completion, and everything is growing like crazy and we even received a Starbucks gift card from our developer for having such an attractive yard! All told, we were persistently impressed with the knowledge base and workmanship of everyone from Little Creek Landscaping.

I can’t even begin to say enough great things about these guys. I was personally referred to them through a friend of mine when my company was looking to update our landscape out front of the office and I was completely blown away with the extent of the services they provide. Just to start Greg was amazing to deal with when I explained the situation I was dealing with and was beyond accommodating to my needs. Then I was introduced to Will, the company’s amazingly talented designer who came in and personally made sure we didn’t feel like just another paycheque. From dealing with Shannon in the office who is absolutely fantastic herself to their awesome and respectful driver Jon. Since the start, we have called them for absolutely EVERYTHING. To date and repetitively used, Landscaping, Snow Removal, lot sanding, Gravel deliveries, Power Sweeping our entire property and soo much more. With a recently discovered nursery they have which we are excited to check out this season. To everyone who’s reading this thing, if you want personable, quality, efficiency and an extremely hard working group of individuals, you need to call these guys. I start and finish by saying again.. WORTH EVERY PENNY SPENT!

We chose Little Creek to finish the landscaping on the last tier of yard last fall. We knew from our initial meeting with Greg that Little Creek would be our choice. The design team and installation crew were very professional and accommodating from start to finish. We are very happy with the finished design and would recommend Little Creek to anyone looking to get landscaping done.

My wife and I initially signed a contract with the company but cancelled after mulling over a few details, it wasn’t a right fit. I wouldn’t be leaving a bad review but my hand is forced as shortly after cancelling we received a passive aggressive text by the estimator who was clearly disgruntled we declined little creeks services . This company has STILL not given us our deposit Of $3400. I have called and texted Gerald multiple times asking for our money back but have only been met with excuses. Little creek has broken their own contract as it clearly states they are to transfer deposits back after 15 days of being notified of a cancellation. There are no excuses with how this was handled . We will be contacting the better business bureau as well as the Alberta consumer affairs office . Do not use this company Corey

Started with a planning meeting and full design (~$1800) from Will. Goal was to correct grading issues on two sides of the house, install brick work, a water feature and some small carpentry projects (stairs and landing to a door plus two arbours). The design was for the whole lot but we started with a portion so that I could decide if I would use them for the remaining. The best part was the brick work, that is holding up after a year, and water feature. Otherwise, poor attention to detail and more concerned with getting paid (only 10% of project cost was left at the end, so little incentive to complete the job to the satisfaction of the client). We are still picking out deck screws that were liberally dispersed in the bark mulch. The carpentry work is DIY quality with large splits in 6x6 cedar from over torquing screws. Started planting perennials this season and it is clear that under the bark mulch, the soil is not smoothly graded (large cavities that make it hard to plant at the same depth) and missing the top soil that was in the contract. If you hire them you will have to watch them closely or expect they will cut corners to finish the job and substitute products without telling you ahead of time (e.g. stone veneers on arbours).

This company was selected based on competitive price and reputation. They completed a revamp project of a weed-infested garden with shrubbery approx. 800 sq. ft. It was a mess, inundated with weeds and was no longer maintainable. The final product was clean, professional and the attention to detail was obvious. They completed the project on time and on budget. This job came with a detailed specification for depth of removal, weed control, type of wood chips, and other details. This job was completed to our specifications. These are professionals you can hire with confidence. They take pride in their work.

Little Creek has always done a very good job for us. From being very competitive on pricing to getting the job done. And when issues arise as they sometimes do, the Little Creek team quickly reacts to resolving the issue. They are always willing to adapt as needed to suit our needs.

Thanks to Little Creek Landscaping, we were able to extend our driveway with pavers to allow us more parking, as well as some necessary grading. This is something we've been waiting to do for quite a while. We have had a few other companies agree to show up, but never had results. Little Creek Landscaping came within our budget with quality and friendly service. A down to earth and realistic company. We're very happy and would highly recommend them and/or use their services again.
