Lotus Gardenscapes & Bloom Garden Center

After they canceled 4 or 5 appointments, I gave up. Pretty poor treatment in my opinion, especially since they charge $100 just for the privilege of making an appointment.

We engaged Lotus for a big landscaping remodel, which entailed considerable excavation, regrading, creating a supporting wall with stone, revising all the downspouts, creating a drywell/rain garden, and then installing two patios--all before plant installation. We finally have the backyard we dreamed of, our front yard is totally updated too. Special thanks to Alex, the hardscape foreman, but the whole team from Traven on down is great.

We had Lotus do a very large hardscape project for us fall 2018. Plans were drawn up for sandstone retaining walls, crushed granite seating area, naturalized fire pit, and bluestone viewing patio. Wade and his crew worked with us throughout. It was amazing to watch the installation crew as they maneuvered the large stones into place like pieces in a puzzle! Very professional and quality work all around. Very happy with the result & look forward to working on surrounding landscape with them this spring. Highly recommend Lotus to friends.

Traven and his crew have helped me beautify the landscape around my home for years. They work within my budget to come up with options that are creative and aesthetically pleasing, and can be added to over time. The designs have been low maintenance and have received many compliments. It makes me smile when I come home to see the winding sidewalk with rock garden and lovely bushes (that smell so nice in the spring) to welcome me and my visitors. They built a rock wall in the back yard with a connecting tiered garden in which I grow herbs. I will continue to hire Traven and his crew for future landscaping projects. They are honest, reliable, creative, and good collaborators. Highly recommend!

Gavin and the Lotus team professionally managed our fall cleanup, including dividing perennials, cutting back grasses, and removing unwanted plants and leaves. They were effective in determining what needed to be done, and efficient in carrying out the work. Our gardens were well prepared for their winter sleep!

Landscape Designer Nicole Lloyd and the Lotus team have transformed our home, taking the time to understand our vision while applying her professional, artistic approach to design that led to the laying of stonework that strengthens and accentuates the sloping terrain and the orchestration of a stunning array of native plantings whose colors, textures, and dimensions add richness and depth.

We hired Wade Lehmann and his crew from Lotus Gardenscapes to put in a boxwood hedge and also to replace a beloved old tree that finally died in the very cold winter of two years ago. Wade was a huge help in working out how we should proceed, first figuring out what plants to use for the hedge and then for the tree. For the tree, we wanted a tree native to the region, and Wade suggested a Hawthorne, which we would never have thought of on our own. We really appreciate Wade's thoughtfulness and the beautiful work of his crew. And we plan to contact him for work in the future.

We hired Lotus Gardenscapes to develop a landscaping planning for our Burns Park home. We met their landscape designer, Wade Lehman, at our home to survey our existing landscape. Wade was terrific, he is professional, personable and knowledgeable. He developed a very thoughtful and attractive plan for our outdoor spaces, including new plantings, patio and deck. He carefully listened to our ideas and incorporated them into his plans. We've gone on to hire Lotus for the first phase of our project - transplant several plants and install a new planting bed. The workers where terrific in all respects. We look forward to working with Lotus again next spring and summer to replace our patio and deck. The fees for all of their services are very reasonable.

Our landscaping re-do was a massive project, which we did in two stages, last fall, and the rest this summer. The hardscape and construction aspect of it dominated and included the re-do of an existing retaining wall, new pavers for the driveway, improved walkway, and new stairway to the front door from street level where none had existed, a new side retaining wall and path running the length of the property from front to back, a new deck with small mirror image bluestone patios on each side, a drainage reservoir, and replacing an old irrigation system. In addition, the garden beds in front were expanded and improved, and new planting areas established along one side and in back. Poised and professional designer Lauren immediately came up with a beautiful, graceful design for the front that solved the egress problems there on her first attempt, with no modifications required. Dave and Danny did all of the work in front. They were a joy to work with and the meticulous end result completely positively changed the presentation of the house to the street, and made us feel that much more confident about signing the much bigger contract for the second part of the job. For that, site manager Scott and his crew came on board. In Scott, we had a highly talented craftsman whose knowledge was impressive. He was responsible for dealing with drainage and grading, and all else that entailed transitioning our design from paper to 3D reality. The work was made even more complicated by the fact that it was on an urban lot, with limited access. We cannot say enough good things about all of the on-site crew members. I could set my watch by Scott's arrival each morning, and all worked hard all day, every day (Dave and Danny into the end-of-season cold, and Scott et al in unrelenting record-setting heat this summer). To a one, they were courteous, willing to answer questions and keep us informed. It is worth mentioning that many of them have been with Lotus for a number of years. In a business where turnover is high, we think this speaks well of the company, and we definitely felt that it was of benefit to us as clients. There are so many more positive things that could be said about the Lotus team, but suffice it to say, we think you're the best. And Lauren, it couldn't have happened without your beautiful plan as the blueprint. Our project was a year plus in the planning and prep before we even found Lotus, clearing the property of old plantings, buckthorn and stump removal, switching out a redundant deck door for a window, and working with an architect to design the deck. Still, we despaired of finding someone to help us realize our vision. Disappointing contact with two other landscapers who clearly didn't have the capability to take it on meant that it wasn't with particularly high hopes that I filled out the on-line survey for Lotus when they were recommended by husband's co-worker. Traven contacted me the next business day, and scheduled a planning meeting only a few days off so that we could do the first phase before the weather changed. As soon as we signed the contract, in both instances, things started happening on-site when scheduled, and kept on until the work was finished. Traven's presence was less once the work began,( understandably since he was off running his very busy company in its high season), but he was always accessible to us if any issue arose, and has responded to a couple of post-job issues that will be revisited in the spring. In Lotus, we found a full-service company whose range is wide, and in particular, we think does unique and artistic stone and hardscape work. We wish them every continued success. Their motto is "Love Your Landscape", and now, we do!

We had a great experience with Lotus. They listened to put ideas and added their own ideas and expertise to create something we really loved and was exactly what we wanted. They were also respectful of our budget and helped us plan a multi-year project so we could do the whole thing in smaller pieces, which is what we had wanted to do. Plus, Traven and the rest of the staff were super friendly and easy to work with! Would highly recommend them and would definitely use them again--in fact, we are planning on it!

Everyone at Lotus was great to work with from the initial planning, to design, to preparation, to completion of the project; they held our hands the whole time. I highly recommend working with them!

What a great experience. I used Lotus/Bloom to update the landscaping at my place of business. I had no idea what to expect for budgeting nor a strong vision for what would work aesthetically and functionally for our space, but Wade was so helpful! He was prompt to meet for an initial consultation and presented me with a great design. We completed the project in the late fall, so I am excited to see his design intent come to life, once the spring is here again!
