Mary-Liz Campbell is a talented and thoughtful landscape architect. She is very easy to work with and has great vision on how to transform everything from pool areas to decorative gardens. Mary-Liz uses hardscapes that fit in naturally with the surrounding plantings. She works well with gardeners and other professionals. She has worked with us for four years on a variety of projects and continues to improve and help us with upkeep on our landscaping.

Mary-Liz was great to work with from beginning to end. She brings experience to the job and is honest about what she thinks will or won't work. She uses top notch contractors, and the execution of the project she designed was efficient, neat, and on-schedule. We were very pleased with the finished product. I can highly recommend her work!

Mary-Liz Campbell designed the landscape for my quarter acre yard area around my house and oversaw it's implementation. She took my ideas seriously when I wanted to save a tree or mentioned particular plants which i would like to have in the plan. The final result is amazing. I feel like I live in a House and Garden magazine in the summer when everything is in bloom. She is available for consultation when I have questions and recommended someone to help keep the place in shape as well as people to put in a sprinkler system. She also scaled back when my budget wasn't up to the full plan she had in mind so I can do it in stages and it still looks good.

Our property was nice but somewhat overgrown when a friend recommended Mary-Liz. She arrived and redesigned our property., Relocated some plantings and added others. We LOVE the outcome and are constantly complimented. We now have different colors and plants blooming all the time. We would HIGHLY recommend Mary -Liz. When I first saw Mary-Liz Campbell's website, I could hardly believe my luck. Her designs were not only beautiful, but they combined texture, color and hardscape so the results were even greater than the parts. And, believe me, the parts were great too! From the moment we talked to the seasons we worked together to the friendship and respect that have evolved, I was inspired by her creativity, vision and expertise. Our property, small, rocky, hilly and and divided among three different levels and bisected by a really long driveway was suffering from my many attempts to get it right. Mary-Liz and I talked about the harsh winters, our hope for green yearround, and my sense that we needed to fix the paths to the house so they weren't daunting but inviting. And so much more...we talked about what plants might look good in what season, what trees needed attention, where hedges might go, how I only wanted white and green, no bright colors on the back patio, and how the whole place needed a structure that made sense, that worked to connect the three separate areas, softened the hills and made the most of the rocks. She drew a plan, we discussed options, cost and time, and she started. We've worked together for less than five years, but the payoff was instant. My husband was also a huge fan--Saturdays on the front porch became his respite from a high pressure week--the garden was restful and stimulating and interesting all at once. Recently we sold our house, and the only pain I felt about downsizing was losing the garden. Coincidentally, our house sold in less than a week with the potential buyers being welcomed in early spring by gardens that were lovely, even before they bloomed. In the notes from potential buyers who wanted to persuade us to sell to them, a constant refrain was the garden. We always knew we had something special but were reminded when the UPS guy asked if we minded if he sat in the bench and looked at our garden for a few minutes. We didn't mind at all.
