From the moment we met Matthew, he listened to our ideas. He then executed on those in a very beautiful way…..but, let me start at the beginning. We met Matthew online based on the high ratings he received and we pursued a meeting. We then showed him the property. Our house was a complete demo, and he would be starting from an empty lot. He was as excited about the project as we were. Why do we recommend him? Matthew was very professional and brought a very hard working team. He delivered our garden quickly once he started, following a schedule exactly as planned. With so many contractors dragging things out, we were amazed by his command of the project and work ethic. Matthew has decades-long ties with growers, and brought onto our property very healthy and symmetrical specimens. Many of our trees were mature as we sought to design complete privacy from day one, and a sense that our garden has been here for years. He added to the magic with fieldstones and large boulders, making it a unique and tranquil place. A word on budget and time: Matthew worked within the agreed upon budget and time, which we found to be an extreme rarity in South Florida. The work ethic of Matthew and his team was incredible. They showed up as planned, always on time and always putting in a full day’s work. It is obvious they love their work and take pride in it. Part of our plan called for three 8,000-lb trees to be placed in the back of the house. Matthew arranged for the right equipment and had them installed without any issue. From the ground coverings to the grand pleached hedge, we today have a healthy and robust garden…..and we are now 90 days past installation. We could not be happier. Matthew is someone we will hire again, and highly recommend.

As another reviewer said, we paid and got a preliminary plan, but then we were ghosted. Did my best to decipher the plan, but not all plants were labeled in the plant key. Had to become an instant landscape architect myself to try and finish the project.

Matthew is a consummate landscape architect. He and his crew "gutted" my wrap-around piece of land and transformed it into a tropical garden for strolling, meditating, and dining outdoors. Since he is also a horticulturist, he skillfully preserved my valuable plants and trees while adding lush greenery for both shaded and sunny areas. Beautiful sculptured stepping stones, larger coral rock, and pavers created an outdoor entertainment space as well Equally impressive is Matthew's work ethic. He remained on the job and worked with his crew each day for two weeks straight. His crew were neat and highly skilled. He also follows up with regular e-mails to make sure all is well with the new plants. I highly recommend Matthew Giampietro for any unique outdoor gardens or fountains.

The highest praise I can give Matt is that he truly loves what he does! And it shows in the thoughtful, intentional design with high quality materials and trees/vegetation. He listened carefully to my vision for my house and then matched me with equal enthusiasm. He designed a garden that is like a separate reality right in my home. It feels so special to walk through it- unlike anything I have seen before. He gave a 100%- from the design to the actual implementation. He was with his workers doing the work. He is a perfectionist and that is a great thing because my garden escape is perfection.

Matt helped us create the landscape design and plan that dreams are made of. He was also able to help us achieve our goals within a reasonable budget. His creative skills are top notch and his willingness to allow full participation while working with our other vendors was very much appreciated. If you are looking for someone that knows more about plants than most and is able to take your rough ideas and make them truly blossom into something beyond what you might have even imagined? Then Matt is your guy!

Matthew designed and installed our front and back yards using relatively low maintenance, lush tropical foliage. He was a pleasure to work with and he made the project fun. Our new space is private, colorful and dog friendly. It's perfect and we love the results!

We interviewed several landscapers and choose Mathew., our judgement was right. Mathew is very knowledgeable, and has a vision of the projects at hand. He is talented beyond words and both my husband and I felt very confident in his suggestions for our project. His team of workers were on time and left each day with a minimum of clutter. Working with Matt has been an amazing experience and exceeded all of our expectations. We are first time single family home owners so garden design and install was very new to us. Matt took our European city park inspiration and turned it into a reality! Gravel walkways, an authentic bocce court, beautiful trees and ground cover, and elegant lighting. Can’t recommend enough!

Tried to work with him, but not responsive. Paid him and got plans, and then he disappeared. The project was never done.

Matt has been absolutely amazing from the start. I literally can't say enough good things about him, after going through other construction house project nightmares in south Florida, so many times - I feel like Matt is the good karma I've been waiting for, after all the suffering! Matt was completely responsive from day one; just super communicative, always showed up when he said he would, and was out there constantly through the process, overseeing and meticulously crafting and shaping everything. His design process is wonderful, and it was like he could see inside my head; the drawings and the final project were just exactly what I was looking for, and he "got me" from the first conversation we had. He was transparent about pricing, and costs, and brought in additional great help for the sprinkler system that was also very reasonably priced. Matt and his team executed exactly what he said they would, when he said they would, and how he said they would. My backyard is now the tropical zen oasis I have had in my head for years, and I am so glad I found Matt's company online, as I can't imagine anyone doing a better job. Worth every penny, and I cannot recommend him more highly - everyone I know who comes to my house is going to be knocked over by the transformation, just as I am, every time I step outside into my backyard. Matthew was fantastic to work with. He brought us great ideas and was able to execute on everything. My wife and I love the way our total landscaping project came out. We have received tons of great compliments from neighbors and friends. He delivered everything on time and on budget and was very flexible and always available to us throughout.
