I’ve never written a negative review before, but I felt compelled to do so after working with this contractor. Two years ago, Angela installed a bluestone patio, deck, and garden at our home in Sudbury. After just two winters, the bluestone patio is already crumbling—half the stones are deteriorating to the point where the surface is unusable. We never used salt or a metal shovel on it. We reached out to Angela, and her response was, “I’ve never seen that before. Unfortunately, there is no warranty on the stone, so the best I can do is suggest you buy more stone.” That’s it. No responsibility, no solution—just a ruined patio after less than two years, despite a significant investment. There were other serious issues during the project. While preparing the site, her crew tore up our sprinkler system. They then planted the garden over it and insisted the sprinklers were in a different area. When we turned on the system, nothing worked. We brought in a sprinkler company, who confirmed the lines had been destroyed. They had to dig up the new garden to cap the damaged system, which cost a fortune. We also had to replant the garden ourselves, and many of the original plants didn’t survive due to the disruption. When we asked Angela about it, she blamed the sprinkler company and said they weren’t “thoughtful people.” Unfortunately, I cannot recommend working with this contractor. I strongly suggest finding someone more professional and accountable.

We have collaborated with Angela and her team on many challenging long-term projects in Weston and are always impressed with her level of detail and completeness. I have known Angelia for close to twenty years after she designed the landscape for our home in Concord, MA. She was a delight to work with and offered several possible designs for our property to get us focused. Angela is a top-tier landscaping designer and a top-top-tier wetland management specialist. Long story short, I was new to the area and got into some troubles with the local wetland regulations. She has continually gone above and beyond what we originally brought her on board to do. Her skill set is vast and seemingly never-ending. It feels incredibly reassuring to know that she takes her job extremely seriously. She always returns calls and emails promptly. She is both creative AND organized. She always shows up on time. She is not only outstanding in the field of landscape design, but she is also excellent at navigating what are often daunting regulatory and governmental processes. She is diplomatic, often helping to bridge differences among development team members. She is both a consummate professional... and a great person. So in short, I am incredibly grateful for all that Angela has done for our family!

Angela was phenomenal to work with on our new patio in Sudbury. She is extremely knowledgeable about conservation rules/regulations and helped to guide us through every step of a complicated process involving a septic tank and wetlands. She understood our vision and worked with us for over a year to make it happen! The process was so smooth for us given that we trusted her completely and she was an excellent communicator. We are so grateful!

We have just finished an extensive backyard renovation with Minglewood. Angela and her team helped us transform an overgrown and underutilized foundation bed into a prime, outdoor dining and living terrace. She helped us reuse existing materials to blend old and new spaces and she worked seamlessly with our installer, particularly when questions arose about complicated design details. She was respectful of our budget and cost conscious, careful to consult us and suggest alternative solutions when components came back higher than expected. She is a great communicator and answers emails and texts promptly. I enjoyed collaborating immensely and appreciated that she was eager to include me in plant selection, planning a trip to the nursery together. She respected our vision and goals and kept them at the center of her design. The resulting plant beds and stonework blend perfectly amongst the existing plantings and pre existing patio. Angela exceeded our expectations tenfold and we are beyond thrilled with the result. We look forward to working with Minglewood, LLC on our next project!

We really enjoyed working with Angela. She brought a thoughtful and creative flare for design, along with patience and curiosity about our goals, and the end result was a terrific design for our new backyard. We have been working with Minglewood on successive updates to our house, starting from our pool area, to new decks and landscaping. Angela was very communicative, flexible, and was very transparent, all the way from design, construction and future planning. They've been great to work with.

Angela worked with us on hardscaping design and plant selection for our back patio. I can be difficult for designers to work with, but Angela always welcomed my input and put forth designs that incorporated my feedback without it watering down/confusing her designs. She also developed a good rapport with our builder, whom she had not worked with previously. Although she was busy, she always made sure to get back to us in a reasonable amount of time and provided clear records of her billing hours and material costs. Needless to say, we have already started another project and have asked Angela to be our designer again.
