Lara and her team at Natural Landscapes did a beautiful job transforming our backyard this past fall. They leveled the yard and added lovely plantings that made the space not only much more usable, but also truly beautiful. Lara really listened to what we were hoping for and came back with planting ideas that made the yard feel intentional, peaceful, and complete. She is warm, attentive, and clearly loves her work. Lara transformed my front yard from a lawn-filled water-guzzling ho hum area into a special place with drought-tolerant, native plants carefully placed around a new circular patio. She also suggested a "bin garage" for our garbage/recycle bins with a wooden screen (to match our fence) and paved walkway. Lara's knowledge of plants is encyclopedic and her passion for her work is contagious ; at the same time, she really listened to what I wanted and incorporated all my ideas. She is also a great project manager who was on-site almost every day: she and her team finished the project early and below budget. Lara is an excellent communicator: she consulted me about every potential change and replied to my questions quickly. The new yard exceeds my expectations...my only regret is that I didn't hire her sooner!

Lara from Natural Greenscapes created a hardscape and softscape design for my hilly 0.25 acre residence. Lara is creative, skilled at hardscaping, and is an excellent project manager. Lara had the perfect combination of creating a landscaping design that was architecturally feasible while navigating varying needs of our multi-generational family. Her design married our vision, but also fit our natural geography. Lara works magic! We love the way she helped redesign our garden and added much needed color. Working with Lara we achieved the curb appeal we were seeking and we love the relaxing feel of the garden in the private backyard and side yard spaces. Lara has been amazing to work with on an iterative design to completely transform our corner lot front and side yards. The first step in our plan was designing a new driveway to replace our cracked and lifted driveway. We knew we wanted to change the footprint of the driveway and entryway to create a more pleasing space with curb appeal and increase our planting bed areas. Lara came up with 3 possible driveway plans and we selected our favorite and absolutely love the new layout. The next step in our plan was determining what plants to fill the very large space. Lara talked with me several times about what plants I liked and didn’t like and has come up with a plan that is full of unique plants, will have full season interest, and lots of color, texture and height variation. The installation is planned for this winter (by Lara’s team) and I can’t wait to add some pictures of the total transformation!

Lara is a highly talented landscape and garden designer. She provided amazing texture, color, spacing and height variations in our landscape design, taking in to consideration each season having its own pop of interest. She is a wonderful communicator visiting the job site often. Her crew seemed very knowledgeable, hard working and dependable. She provided a detailed blueprint for us to follow along with the project and upon completion a catalogue of plant identification, detail and maintenance. Lara made the entire project easy and fun! Lara is phenomenal landscape designer who led our project from initial ideation all the way through to completion. We initially hired her to create the design, and we were so impressed with her work that we hired her to project manage the construction phase as well. She even found an amazing landscape contractor who did the build-out, and the two of them worked together extremely well to bring her vision to life. Lara puts an incredible amount of detail, thought, and intention into her work, ensuring that designs are both beautiful and functional, and that plants are selected and placed based on their growing needs (e.g. sunlight, slope, water drainage) as well as their aesthetics. On top of her superb skills and knowledge, Lara was also a pleasure to work with and was highly communicative, collaborative, and reliable. Working with Lara at Natural Greenscapes was a pleasure. Her professionalism, confidence, attention to detail, and knowledge in the field during the project was impeccable and made for a wonderful installation. With her detailed plan and vision, we turned an ordinary "builder grade" landscape into a beautiful multi use space for a busy family. It consisted of a pergola, paver patio, Trex deck, modern garden boxes, new plantings, and a new irrigation system. Her knowledge in each of these areas was very impressive which showed in the final product. Discovering Lara and her Natural Greenscapes team has been the best thing that has happened to our garden! She transformed our average-sized Redmond suburban backyard space into a haven we frankly didn't imagine could exist in the space we had. We had a few good quality existing shrubs and a small waterlogged lawn. She re-designed this into an attractive winding river-like path of pavers with "islands' of beds and shrubs. We also added a central circular paved seating area, path and plant lighting, The contractors she employed were some of the most cheerful and skilled we have worked with thus far. Lara worked painstakingly with us to create a solution that re-used the best features and plantings in the existing garden while thoughtfully adding dozens of tiered new shrubs and trees for year-round color and visual appeal. She has been especially good about keeping us informed and being transparent about all aspects of the work. We are extremely satisfied and are continuing to employ the services of her expert maintenance team for monthly pruning and upkeep. They really seem to love what they do, and have kept our garden looking it's best the past year. Some of our older shrubs, like a long-time Japanese maple are looking particularly healthy this year, and some of our more more garden-savvy friends have noticed the difference. We have now begun implementing ongoing improvements on our front garden with Natural Greenscapes as well. Outstanding experience overall, and would readily recommend to anyone!
