Natural Landscape Group

Today, Natural Landscape Group finished cleaning up our back yard and our garage after all the work that they have done around our house. I mention this first, because it is important to note that even the windows of our garage that got quite dirty during the work, are now sparkling clean due to the attention to detail that this company brings to their work. When we first went to NLG, they came back with 3 proposals for a renovation of our back yard and re-planting of the front. We then had all kinds of different ideas and suggestions as we went along and they really just rolled with it and got excited by certain challenges that we put in front of them. One of the challenges was an old barn/shed in the back yard that was literally falling over. We had braced it up over the years because we loved the look of it, but it was too dangerous to use. We proposed the idea to NLG that we tear it down but save the facade and rebuild a smaller version of it at the back of the property to act as a shed and also a backdrop for the new patio they were building for us. They loved the idea and jumped on it. We now look out of our kitchen at our old barn - but now it is straight and makes a beautiful back wall to our patio - and we now have a storage area for lawn furniture. They also built a stone casing for our existing bbq - which and artist friend of mine said looked like a sculpture. Every stone laid and board hammered was done with great care and precision. This is not a cheap solution to landscaping needs - but as the adage goes, you get what you pay for. We now have a fully irrigated garden, with a properly graded back lawn (we had flooding in the spring because the lawn was graded badly - now we don't have to worry about that). They also buried the run-off from the downspouts so all water is directed away from the house. All the people from NLG and their sub contractors were a delight to have around and were so eager to please and to do the best job possible (Sean even noticed that we had put the snow tires on our car and saw the hubcaps in the garage and asked "hey, do you want me to put those hubcaps on for you? I'd be happy to do that for you") That is the kind of above and beyond that makes you happy to recommend a company to your best friend.

We've been blown away working with Chris, Colin and the team at Natural Landscape Group on our front and backyard design. They took our ideas -- which were, quite frankly, all over the place -- and created two dream spaces. One of the best parts of the whole experience is how they walked us through 3-D renderings of what our space would look like -- so we could fully visualize the end result. We can't wait to entertain our friends and family this summer.

Recently we had the good fortune of having a landscape makeover of our small property by NLG. We felt important to them throughout the entire process. From our first meeting with Mike Thiessen and Chris Orlesky we were impressed with their knowledge and interest in fixing our space. And, they listen!! Estimates were detailed, costs were fair, and they do not cut corners. In one instance Colin found a way to do something at a lesser price and that reduction was passed on to us. The "crew" ( Chris, Andrew and Lance) was professional,knowledgeable, pleasant to have around and very hardworking. Compliments also to Doug, Rick and Kyle for the amazing irrigation system. NLG also commits to "being there" for any questions or concerns in the future and will do a follow-up in a years time. "Integrity" definitely applies to this company! We love our new space!!

I met Dave while at Canadian Tire buying a toaster...I over-heard him talking about Landscape Design and at the time had no clue he was the owner of the business. I asked him a few questions and then later that week he came to my house in Oakville for a Landscape Design Consultation. He was ver knowledgable and a friendly guy, my wife and I liked him immediately. Our ideas were passed over to his Landscape Design Team and they created a design for our backyard. In the next few weeks we decided to go with Dave's Design and had his company builld our new backyard. Special thanks to Chantelle and big Ed for all their efforts and hard work on our project. NL Group was hired to design and build a unique landscape in our backyard. Our main goals were to 1. Remove any trace of lawn! 2. Keep things as natural as possible and 3. Ensure a kid-friendly space was created and maintained. In the end, they produced deck space for entertaining, a fire pit area for relaxing, and a boardwalk meandering through perennial gardens. All this on a townhouse lot! We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome and the work of NLG - from start to finish, they were professional, courteous and very hard working. Kept on time and on budget - 2 big pluses in our books! We can't wait to get back outside once the snow melts and enjoy our outdoor space. Thanks NLG!

Our front yard was uninspiring and boring (paving stones leftover from the original housebuilders design 13 yrs prior). We contacted Eco Landscape Design and from our initial meeting, we were impressed and excited at their creativity, professionalism and knowledge. In brief: Eco Landscape Design was amazing. We had our front yard and side yard completely redone. The hardscaping that was designed was exactly what we wanted, and their attention to detail during the work and afterwards was appreciated. Their knowledge of plants and willingness to incorporate our ideas during the landscape design phase really distinguished them from other options we had looked into. ECO didn't impose their ideas on us. Rather, it felt like a collaboration where they helped us bring our ideas to fruition. While on site, they listened to our concerns as we saw the final product taking shape and incorporated minor changes to plantings, made alterations to downspouts, and even helped us out with a gout weed issue that bordered the design which was really going above and beyond what was originally called for. Their site management was exceptional in terms of cleanliness and time management and keeping us in the loop of changes as they came up. We have not only received numerous compliments from neighbours for our newly renovated and gorgeous front yard and side path, but also for the professionalism they demonstrated while we were getting the work done.
