Nicole Fox Landscape Architecture

I recently had the pleasure of working with Nicole Fox Landscape Architecture for a major landscaping project at my home in San Mateo, CA. The project budget was over $200,000 and involved the design and construction of a new deck, paver patio, landscaping, lighting, irrigation, and fencing. Being a construction professional myself, who routinely manages projects from conceptual design through completion, I had high expectations for the design team and contractor selected for the project. From our first meeting, Nicki did an excellent job at helping us identify and communicate the goals of the project. Thoughtful questions during the conceptual design phase produced a great dialogue between us, allowing for a collaborative experience where we could explore many design options. I was very precise in how I wanted our new deck to function. From the construction of the railing system, to the placement of the support posts, I wanted it to be perfect. Nicki was very patient and created multiple space plan options, allowing us to fine tune our design and arrive at the ideal configuration. Not only did Nicki collaborate well with me and my wife, she was also very open to the ideas of our contractor. She took the time to appreciate the opinions of others and provide feedback that allowed for great teamwork throughout the project. The detail of her construction documents were essential to the contractor’s bid and minimized any surprises encountered during construction. Nicki far exceeded all of my expectations. I would highly recommend Nicki for future projects and am grateful she was able to help us create an amazing landscape.
