We engaged Plan it Green several years ago to design our front landscape, including a bluestone walkway. David was creative and patient. It was a small project and we had a small budget, but received the same personal attention and design offered to any larger project. David Paine was extremely accessible and easy to work with - saved the day at the end of our project when he personally came over and supervised the crew (that we had selected) and intervened on our behalf when we were unhappy with the finished walkway. He came up with a good solution and instructed the crew how to fix it .

So, we're not really plant people and not particularly artistic, and we needed a landscaping plan for the new house we just built, as well as the layout for a paved walkway and patio. We found David through Houzz, then discovered that he had already worked with a neighbor who was very happy with his work. He created an entire plan for our new home, and it has turned out beautifully. He included unusual, but easy care varieties that we would never have known about, if not for his educating us. The layout he devised is varied, but with a theme that uses the colors we specified. And we love our new paved walkway with soft lighting (his idea) that shows off our plantings and exterior of our house in the evening. David is easy going with a dry sense of humor, was very receptive to our ideas, and it was a pleasure to work with him.

I hired David to design my backyard for me, including a multi-level patio, stone walls and landscaping. David suggested several aesthetic and original designs that went beyond my own vision of what was possible. He partnered with skilled contractors and himself served as the general contractor, taking a personal interest in every detail. Though the overall costs exceeded original estimates, he kept me apprised of changes to the work plan and budget. The end result is quite beautiful

David was instrumental in creating an exterior look to our two residential projects that gave a comfortable but luxurious feel. This added to the success of our conversions and attracted buyers. His design ideas were sensitive to our budget. David was involved from design to finish and ran interference with the City authorities to insure a smooth installation.

david is truly a pro! what i've appreciated most in working with him is his ability to listen. he consistently attempts to satisfy my desires rather than impose his own likes and dislikes. all else being equal, i hope to work w/ david for many projects going forward.

Working with David was a pleasant experience. He is extremely knowledgeable and creative. He listened to our ideas and ever changing plans, and came up with a design that worked with the surroundings and fit perfectly with our new home design. I don't normally give 5 stars to anyone because I believe there is always room for improvement. David is worth the 5 stars.

We were absolutely and completely satisfied with our work with David. He helped us design and select colors for our new pool deck, and also designed a series of multi level stone patios and our firepit. David also did the landscape design, and found the right folks for us to work with. We never dreamed that we could have such a spectacular patio, pool and landscaping.. Just over the top. David was flexible, and fun to work with. We highly recommend without any reservation!!! Thanks for everything, David.

I used David Paine for a Wayland project which included redesigning a front and side door walkway with plant beds on either side. Then I had him design and consult on a lighting and plant bed project at our Cape house. In both cases he was extremely knowledgable and thoughtful. His suggestions were in-tuned with our needs to correct and enhance the safety and beauty of our homes. I would hire him again without hesitation.
